I have been coming to Brio for years and is still my favorite Italian cuisine restaurant. Tonight, our server Anna was absolutely amazing to say the least. From the time we were welcomed by her warm and kind greeting, to helping us select the proper dishes for our entree, and followed with winning our hearts with the scrumptious descriptions to their select seasonal dessert, the whole experience has been exceptional. It was ok. 3 out of 5 entrees were good. I ordered the Sicilian spaghetti with shrimp. The shrimp was over cooked. The spaghetti was as well and the sauce was no good. It tasted like chef boyardee. My daughter ordered the lobster and shrimp dish and both the lobster and shrimp were over cooked. Definitely not worth what they charge. read more

We had dinner with friends at Brio. We walked into the restaurant and it was noticeably cold. As we were seated cold air was blowing on us. We mentioned it to the Hostess and asked to see the Manager. She said "oh yeah, he won't do anything". It got colder and colder. The waiter was very nice (Christopher) and tried to adjust the thermostat more than once. It was absolutely freezing by the time I spoke to Ivan, the Manager. He was not helpful and made excuses also telling me that another table had complained and it would take a while to get warmer. We were there for over and hour when Christopher told us he found another thermostat and tried adjusting it. That did help a little. It is outrageous that the Manager made excuses adjust the AC to accommodate guests. My husband wore his jacket during the entire meal and I wished I had brought one too. I went to see Ivan on our way out and told him how rediculous it was that he did nothing and had us and others freezing cold during our dinner. He continued to make excuses and never even apologized for the horrible expience we had. I will never go back due to the way we were treated. read more

But their food was delicious and I love supporting places with nice employees and good customer service! Two stars since it still tasted okay. Nailed it! Was handed to me sideways by the host this morning. But tasted good. Made nachos they were so good with Costco organic corn chips For this being my first experience trying and picking up food from this place since I had a coupon. I would not recommend it and probably won't be back since I don't want to have to improvise my meal unless I'm cooking it myself. My husband and I received a gift card for Brio so we decided to give it a whirl. Brio os an upscale Italian restaurant in a great location in Gilbert. The restaurant was large, clean and bright. We were seated right away after entering and started to review the menu. The menu offers a variety of apps, salads, soup, pasta dishes, Flatbread, and other dishes. I ordered off the lunch special menu, which includes a cup of soup or house salad and a half entrée. I decided on the sausage and cheese Flatbread and Italian wedding soup. After ordering our waitress brought fresh bread and butter to the table. The bread was crisp on the outside and soft in the middle. After a while the soup came and it was hot and delicious. Out waitress offered fresh grated cheese to top the soup. The flavor was right on. A short time after that, my Flatbread arrived. It was crispy and delicious. There were large pieces of sausage and plenty of cheese, the flavors were so good. Overall our experience was great, and we will be back when we are in the mood for Italian. read more

Brio had a busy night that seemed like they were not prepared for but we had Liz and she was so amazing. She was working so hard and was fun to have a conversation with. She communicated that they were busy and it was only her and the bartender so understandably it makes sense as to why she was running around everywhere. Something good...an Italian Margarita...instead of using Grand Marnier they use limoncello to make a very nice mixed drink with a twist! After enjoying years of lovely lunches on the patio, dinner dates with hubby and get togethers with friends, I have to say an emphatic NO to Brio after last Friday's 3/18 abysmal evening meal. Premise: my parents moved to Italy for dad's work when I was 18 months old. I am Italian in every way other than having been born there, and I very rarely eat at "Italian" restaurants. When we ftried Brio years ago, one of the reasons we drove over to San Tan was the food : it was real northern Italy. The Carpaccio was delicious ! Appropriately paper thin, a light touch of dressing swirled over the meat; the arugula salad was dressed in a light oil & vinegar, S&P dressing; the cracker bread artfully placed over the lettuces. Friday's Carpaccio? Pre-sliced hours beforehand, not covered properly: all the edges were bone dry !! The touch of sauce ? a horrid fat serpent of bleh and oversalted to boot. Arugula ? where was the dressing I want to know! When we got seated - whereas on previous visits the server/waiter/helper (choose PC name ) would introduce themselves and be attentive therefore gaining a very good tip, I had to ask the man wondering around looking sullen if he was our server... IHOP needs to come give pointers to this guy on friendly, polite, and listening to what customers say and ask for. Bread basket barely had bread, not once did he ask if we would like more. After hoping he would bring oil for said bread, I gave in and asked for it. Never had to before, it was brought or at least offered. Italians eat bread with their meal, people; also before while waiting for food and wine to come. Drinks came at an alarmingly slow speed, should've ordered 2-3 of everything :( The other appetizer was a disaster from the moment it arrived : do not order the Truffle, Garlic (butter?) Pesto Toast w/mozzarella and ricotta (butter?) NO truffles anywhere, IF there's truffle oil it's one-two drops on the whole mess; the first firing had no pesto on it but decent mozza on seemingly all pieces of 'toast'. Bread on both attempts was IMO leftover pieces of small baguette and not what decent restaurants call toast : it was chunky and hard, over reheated with mozza on top and a $15 tag ! You see, by the time that awful concoction of chunky bread missing ingredients clearly listed - truffles as ingredient #1 - I'd had enough of the bad service, attitude which we didn't deserve and didn't provoke, and now this, so went inside to find a manager and present my case. Omg !!! Worst manager, and last time I actually made a real complaint in? No idea, don't usually make them; this was a huge mistake, not presenting a dish with the described ingredients and a manager worth her/his salt would have A) refired and B) comped the dish. This guy ?!? He almost yells "What would you like me to do ?? What? What do you want ?""What do you want me to do?" I will not spend money in such a restaurant and neither should others: if they know about Northern Italian cuisine this most definitely is not it, not anymore! If Brio Scottsdale closing is a sign, this manager is a huge nail in the San Tan location coffin. read more

Food was great. We did have to wait about 15 minutes before we got noticed and waters . But after we were helped, our waiter was really attentive and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. Overall a pretty good experience, the outdoor seating was wonderful. read more

We lived in Vegas, and had been to Brio there. This one didn't miss much with regards to ambiance, service, etc.......Just hold back on the pepper which the diner can add. read more

Came for a family dinner. We called for reservations for eight of us at 4 PM, but they don't start taking reservations until 4:30 - odd. Dinner was very good. Grilled salmon Fresca was excellent. Lots of good vegetables and a delicious balsamic glaze. Lobster and shrimp fettuccine- delicious. The dish had good size pieces of lobster and shrimp. The side salad was very large. They were wonderful and split a wedge for us. The pasta Alla vodka was amazing. The sauce was delicious. The only drawback was it is a bit on the expensive side. read more

We were there last night for dinner. My wife asked the waiter about the Sausage Rigatoni becasue it said it was mild sausage. She asked if it was spicy and he said 'no'. When it came it was so spicy she couldn't eat it. We called him over and told him and he said that happens sometimes and walked away. Not sure what the problem was last night (9/21/24), but it took an hour and a half to get our food, which 3 out of 4 were pretty bad. Pros: bread was awesome, service was adequate. Cons: no crackers with the bread, slooooow service time to get food, requested to speak to manager but he never came to the table, 3 out of 4 meals were barely ok. Would not go back.
