We took my parents here for Christmas Eve. We had reservations, and we were seated very close to our reservation time. The place was buzzing! We were seated against the back wall in a semi-circular booth. (For future reference I will request one of those booths, it's an easier way to chat with fellow dinner guests). It appeared that we had two servers, but one primary. This part was confusing, only because we only saw the one the entire time. I ordered a Bombay Safire gin martini, they didn't have that and I ended up with vodka, not the same but hey you can't serve what you don't have. Refills on soda and water were slow, I'm a thirsty diner, and the water glasses were way too small. In my opinion, there should be someone bussing tables and refilling waters, but take it for what it's worth I don't run the place. Appetizers and meals came out and we were delightfully surprised, as this was our first experience at this restaurant. Our expectations were a little low because the table next to us complained about cold food and sent it back. The flavor was spot on, the atmosphere was a bit loud for our liking, but we will be back maybe not for a Xmas Eve experience. The staff was working their backside off, no one was just milling around. I feel in today's day and age if you're putting in the work we will tip accordingly. Working on Christmas Eve is no fun, but the staff was smiling and doing their best to make a good experience for everyone. read more

We went here due to the reviews. The restaurant is very nice and the staff are excellent. Unfortunately, the same can not be said about the food. While nothing was bad, the food universally was greeted with "meh". The flavors were bland and the food was not very warm. The lasagna received good reviews. Nothing here shouts "Stay away!", but don't expect food that quite equals the cost. The desserts were excellent!! read more

A Tuscany inspired eatery is a staple restaurant here at San Tan mall. When it first opened, this place was it! My family really enjoyed dining here over the years, but it has since gone down hill. We came on a Saturday evening for dinner and it was bustling! We were told the wait was 5 minutes, but after 20 minutes, I asked what the hold up was and apparently they called my group several times....lies! We were right next to the hostess station the entire time. Anyway we were seated outside, and clearly they forgot to clean up. The party before us had a child as the high chair was left behind and the floor strewn with spaghetti around us. We ordered calamari to start and it was AWFUL. I've had good calamari but this was incredibly chewy and the batter texture looked and tasted as if it was microwaved and no where near fresh. About an eternity later we all got our food. I opted for the Pasta Alla Vodka with chicken which was a pillow plush pasta in spicy creamed sauce. The dish was good but no wow factor by any means. Our server was kind but we're here almost 2 hours and everything just took much longer than expected. Many tables around us also looked antsy as they waited very long For their food and even to get refills. Not sure what happened, but this place used to be so good. This used to be my favorite date night restaurant. Loved their happy food and drinks. The waitresses don't deserve this as they are trying so hard. They are great. It's the cooks. It's the food. The last two times we have come the food has been undercooked or overcooked and inedible. It's so sad as we love the ambiance. We came on Christmas Eve & it was beyond horrible. Then and again tonight we had no choice but to send our food back, waiting an extra 30 min or more for new dishes. Tonight, however, when they re-did the dishes - the chef appeared and the second round was perfect and delicious. Night and day. He apologized for his new cooks. But this is the 3rd time I have ordered the shrimp and eggplant and it was undercooked - eggplant raw, coating light color and falling off, swimming in watery sauce with undercooked shrimp. It used to be consistently my fave dish. My husbands "medium" steak was cooked well done. Not a drop of pink. So I'm guessing Brio is having trouble with training & keeping chefs. Probably why so many of them closed. The inconsistency in the food quality has ruined our beloved Brio. I hope this changes but I think this restaurant will close soon as the others have because of the abundance of ooor, inexperienced cooks. read more

Came in with the family on a Monday, around dinner time, and was unfortunately disappointed with our visit. Food wise, it was very good! I tried the Pasta Brio and was very impressed. My wife tried the Wedge Salad and the Gnocchi. Both were delicious as well. That was about the saving grace of our visit, though. The kids' meal is not worth it for $11 for butter pasta with no sides or drink included. Service wise, we felt as if our server had forgotten about us on multiple occasions. No greeting at the front and no greeting at our table, either. We watched other tables come in after us, in a different section, be waited on quickly and regularly. And it wasn't a busy night either! Only having 2 servers on the floor and ours also running the bar didn't help. It took close to an hour from sitting down until our food arrived. Hopefully next time, we will get better service because the food is very good! Very disappointing experience, though. read more

Always looking for a great Caprese, which led my Yelp Bestie Chelsey H. and I to check this establishment out as we found via the Yelp App. Yelpies usually have the best recommendations! Walking in the establishment is always breathtaking. Love the atmosphere of the establishment and the cozy feeling once seating. Though, we both were not fans of the paper versus a table cloth. The service was fairly attentive after a decent amount of time passing before greeting. Appeared to be a change in staff when we arrived. They ultimately helped us make our selections for both a drink and an entree, which we appreciated. Always love a staff recommendation. The Caprese was delicious, but quite small for a price point of $15.99. We were shocked it was only three tomato slices and three slices of mozzarella. Typically it would be much larger for that price point, so I was a little disappointed to start. Though the spaghetti pomodoro quickly made up for it. The flavor was fresh and vibrant. A great tomato sauce and I felt the portion was great for the price point of $17.99. It was always amazing for leftovers the next day as well. Overall, this is somewhere where I would consider dining when in the San Tan mall area. read more

Music was very loud. There seems to be lack of training. I ordered the shrimp and scallop risotto, which was good but I asked 2 servers what type scallops they were. They didn't know so when I said sea or bay scallops, they both answered sea scallops. The rest of the tables food was very good. The spicy Bloody Mary's were bland with no garnish. Mimosa's were served in plastic flutes. My opinion is you were not prepared for the Mother's Day crowd. Good luck next time. read more
