Always looking for a great Caprese, which led my Yelp Bestie Chelsey H. and I to check this establishment out as we found via the Yelp App. Yelpies usually have the best recommendations! Walking in the establishment is always breathtaking. Love the atmosphere of the establishment and the cozy feeling once seating. Though, we both were not fans of the paper versus a table cloth. The service was fairly attentive after a decent amount of time passing before greeting. Appeared to be a change in staff when we arrived. They ultimately helped us make our selections for both a drink and an entree, which we appreciated. Always love a staff recommendation. The Caprese was delicious, but quite small for a price point of $15.99. We were shocked it was only three tomato slices and three slices of mozzarella. Typically it would be much larger for that price point, so I was a little disappointed to start. Though the spaghetti pomodoro quickly made up for it. The flavor was fresh and vibrant. A great tomato sauce and I felt the portion was great for the price point of $17.99. It was always amazing for leftovers the next day as well. I went in with a group of girls for my birthday and we all had a great time, our waitress Laura was very lively, she even brought out a birthday dessert for me. We came in for a later dinner tonight - around 9pm, confirming they were open until 11pm. We were never greeted by a host/hostess and waited a few minutes before deciding to seat ourselves at the bar. It was only then we were greeted and offered a seat in the dining room, though we chose to stay at the bar. The bartender offered us water and drinks right away and we ordered food (chicken limone and salmon fresco), which was served quickly and was really pretty good - especially liked the chicken limone. The service was fine but it was pretty unprofessional with gossiping and swearing happening in front of us at the bar (we didn't particularly mind but it wasn't professional) and then at one point someone was carrying around some birthday cake on a paper plate and asking if anyone wanted it or knew where it came from. Again, the food was good and the cooks were definitely hustling, everyone was nice, but it was just not a "professional" experience for $130. read more

We ordered two side salads, artichoke dip, and lobster soup. The salads consisted mostly of brown iceberg lettuce with very little dressing. The lobster soup had a strong fishy odor, and the artichoke dip was barely warm and contained little to no artichoke--mostly just a white sauce. Given the many nearby restaurants offering better quality food at more reasonable prices, the lack of customers was not surprising. Me and my fiancé went to this location for some dinner. We were seated right away and given menus by the host. We sat in our booth for 20 minutes and not one server checked on us , or even asked if we wanted water! The couple that entered after us was seated and helped before us , and we were not even acknowledged while waiting! We decided to leave and take our business elsewhere! Ordered the Chicken Caprese (sub Romano crusted chicken for the grilled) with side Caesar salad and side chopped salad. Comes with complimentary focaccia bread and pat of salted butter. We decided to eat out for Thanksgiving since it was going to be a low key Thanksgiving. Decided on brio. We usually enjoy our meals there because the service is very good and the meals are consistently good. The only reason I did not give a higher rating on this Thanksgiving meal was I thought it was way too expensive. $45 per person. The turkey was very good tender and moist. I thought the Italian sausage stuffing was a little underwhelming. It was a little on the dry side and not a very large portion of it. The tricky gravy was good. The mashed potatoes were very good. The pumpkin pie was outstanding probably the best I've ever had. The salad and green beans were exactly the way they should have been. Not sure I would go back again for Thanksgiving just based on the price alone. read more

I felt like the Ambiance was like an Olive Garden leveled up, Review of the menu and what the entrees were priced at I was struggling to see how anyone was actually eating in this location. Ordered a signature dish and the kitchen sends it out with the wrong pasta. Once corrected I felt like they lost their way in the kitchen nothing to say positive about this meal except their bread. Partner ordered the grilled marsala chicken, chicken very dry and the sauce need to cook down for another few minutes seems to have a very woody wine sauce. Asked to see the manager and explained that the meal was not up to our expectations for something priced at $30.00 for pasta and dry chicken. The ambiance here was nice! The inside of the restaurant did a good job decorating it. It has an elegant Tuscan theme. I thought the lamb chops were very tasty and highly recommend them. Truly an awful experience. Booked a reservation for Mother's Day dinner and it was one of the worst dining experiences of my life. Despite the reservation, we had to wait a very long time before we were seated. When they brought us to our table, it was dirty and not cleaned yet. The host grabbed a wet towel and quickly/shoddily wiped the table and seat and instructed us to sit down on the wet/still dirty table. We were also seated right across from a massive group of 20+ teenagers that were being incredibly loud and disruptive. We tried to maintain a good atmosphere for my mom who we were celebrating, so we didn't complain. The server came around and took our order and brought bread and butter but did not bring us any plates or silverware to eat with. We asked the server two times and when it came, it was only the silverware, no plates. At this point, we were so hungry that we used our napkins as makeshift plates and ate over them. The server saw this as he walked by us several times and still didn't bring plates. We got plates after our appetizers were finally served and we had to ask a third time. I've been to Brio before and the food is usually pretty good. This time, the food was awful. Too salty and overcooked. We don't believe in wasting food, so despite all of us at the table barely eating, we asked for boxes to pack the food. They brought us out tiny boxes. We asked for different boxes considering each plate was nearly full still, and after more delays we got bigger boxes. Despite having 6 or so boxes, we received no bag. Had to ask for that as well. I understand if the restaurant is low staffed, and the servers are running around trying their best. That was not the case here. We noticed several times after our requests for service that our server would stand in the back chatting and laughing with coworkers. The servers did not seem overloaded at all and had time to do everything but serve. I usually never make this assumption, but after observing, it truly seemed like our server was singling us out from all of his tables. All of his other tables were white and we were south Asian. The glances of eye contact and straight up ignoring us felt very racially charged. Overall worst dining experience of my life and will never go back. Thank you for making Mother's Day dinner so truly awful. read more

We had a reservation for 7:30pm and arrived in a timely manner. After checking in with the front we waited to be seated. After 10 minutes of waiting we asked for the status of our table, to which they said it was just being cleaned and they would seat us. No worries, we continued waiting. Another 5 minutes passed they were ready to seat us. We were walked to a dirty table at a booth that was across from a party of 20+. We stood there awkwardly and cramped while the person who brought us to our table wiped it down in the most nonchalant way possible. All the crumbs were pushed on to the seats and the table left sopping wet. She then motion for us to sit lol Our order was taken and we were then given bread and butter. We had no plates nor any utensils. Seems like they just wanted us to eat like animals. The irony is that we were sat very close to where the servers were working from so we could see them standing around. We also could very obviously see the plates and silverware ready and available in their sections while we sat next to it all with none. We made eye contact with the server many times but they just avoided or had no awareness. We waived our server down and asked for plates and silverware. We got just the silverware. We waved them down again and got plates. This took about 25 minutes. By that time our food already came out. Most of the table didn't enjoy their food as it was quite bland. I felt like the chicken milanese I ordered was alright. The only thing that was truly enjoyable was the strawberry balsamic salad we got for the table but we should have went without the Gorgonzola. Honestly the service just spoiled the entire mood and we were ready to leave. We asked for boxes and got the smallest sized boxes available. We could see that there were other sizes. We asked a different server and they brought out some bigger ones for us. After we packed our boxes, we had to ask for a bag. Again, all of these items were in the same spot and out in the open so we could see them. Our server didn't have the attention or mindfulness to bring them all out at once. It felt like we had to request so many things. I don't know how these folks are in the service industry and terrible at service. Overall it didn't not feel very welcoming. Even when leaving, we were sandwiched between the 20+ table and having to exit single file in a narrow row. The servers seemed irritated that they had to wait while we were exiting. We had no other way to leave and this was likely a fire hazard. Bless their souls, they were carrying 20+ different checks for that table. Why management allowed that I have no idea. We ate here yesterday. It was the worst Margherita flat bread pizza and fried calamari I've ever had in my life! This is no exaggeration. The calamari if you call it that was dumped into a bowl with cocktail sauce on one side and like a pink I guess tartar sauce it had like 6 calamari rings and like 4 of these calamari looked like claw legs were so gross and chewy. underneath that it was all fried peppercinis it was 18.99 Really disgusting! The flat bread pizza 15.99 was really bad it reminded me of a Doritos with cheese that had been fried it was so tough and chewy and extremely cold. I would have much preferred a signature Vons frozen pizza that's how bad it was. Our waiter poor guy must get complaints all the time he even kinda put his head down and walked away like he didn't have even pride in the food. Very cold. This looked like it been in a freezer for 6 months and they took it out and microwaved it. I should have walked out after they gave us a basket of bread it was just nasty, chewy stale even with the butter it was just gross We were the only 3 people in the restaurant. They were not very over welcoming as well, she sat us in cramped corner. Mind you the restaurant was empty we were near the filthy soda fountain, moved a chair in the corner so the seating was awkward. and gave us a sticky height chair with a broken belt , to put my grandbaby in . I mean literally shoved in a corner I had to move the chairs around to be next to my grandbaby and daughter. Never came back to check if we were ok or anything. I treat my dog better than this. I had to switch the high chair for 1 with a belt. No one really asked how the food was either it's like they knew it was bad. . Never in my life have I ever had such bad food at such a high price. After my daughter and I walked out and were both just really grossed out. Nevertheless I paid tipped and walked out but, I regret not complaining. read more

For Mom's Day, my mom made the reservation for Brio because I'd be in town from Sacramento. It was a special occasion date, so even with a reservation, expect to have a wait to be seated. We were seated and greeted quickly by a server named Chris. He was very helpful and exceeded our expectations on such a busy day. The food and drink was made to specifications and delivered after I had snacked on the bread basket. Most enjoyable bunch I have been to in a while. Very festive surroundings for such a special day.
