Went here today to celebrate a birthday with my parents and kids. The waitress Jennifer was nice, but had by far the worst service. 15 mins after being seated before she took drink orders. The. Another 20 mins until the drinks came out. She seemed very new and overwhelmed. She only had 5 tables. Food was sub par, missing lobster in pasta, pasta was dry, and took an hour to receive bread. We had to get up and ask multiple times for help. Meal took almost 2 hours start to finish. Not a single manager in site. Been coming here for almost 10 years, will not return. I urge anyone to go elsewhere, sad to see what this place has become. read more

Absolutely terrible experience for my husbands birthday. Waited over an hour for our food, his food got taken away from him by the manager without asking as the manager claimed it was the wrong order (it wasn't), and continued to wait for any water refills and our check. When trying to talk to the manager he did not think anything was wrong. Very unprofessional and terrible experience. read more

The food was amazing! However, my wife specifically asked to go here for her birthday, and we were seated at a booth/table. It seemed cold inthere and asked if the doors could be closed. They replied they would ask the Mgr. So farcwecwere promised water and got the calamari appetizer before our water and had to ask and wait again. So, we're getting uncomfortably cold and waiting for the main course and when it finally got there we ate a little amount of it until it was too cold to stay any longer, asked to box it up and paid our bill and a good tip and left. We use to be regulars at the San Tan Mall Brio, but haven't been in quite some time, in large part, because I can't have gluten anymore. Decided to stop for lunch today, so I could order a salad. When I asked our waiter what the soup of the day was he replied Italian Wedding Soup. I commented I couldn't have it, because of the pasta. He asked if I had celiac. I said no, Hashimoto's so I can't have gluten. He said the soup didn't have pasta, so it would be fine. I asked if the soup only has vegetables. He said there are meatballs too. I asked if the meatballs are gluten free. He questioned me if meatballs ever have gluten. I said yes, when bread is used as a binder. He replied that the meatballs were so small that he didn't think they had gluten. He said since they weren't made in-house, he didn't have anyone he could even ask, so he wasn't going to ask anyone. I obviously didn't order the soup. I did order the Strawberry Balsamic Chicken Salad and asked for the Balsamic dressing on the side instead of the Italian. After our waiter walk away, I decided to search the web to see if I could find any information on the soup. The Brio Gluten Sensitive Menu popped up. I didn't even know Brio had a gluten sensitive menu. I immediately noticed the menu did not list the chicken salad as being a gluten sensitive option. I immediately went inside the restaurant (we were seated on the patio) to find my waiter and change my order. Our waiter was at the workstation running a credit card. I told him that I needed to change my salad. He replied that I was fine, that the chicken salad was gluten free. I replied that corporate doesn't know that, because it is not listed on the gluten sensitive menu. He insisted that the salad was gluten free, but that he could get the chef to talk to me. He continued to process the credit card and then yelled to the kitchen staff to get Chef. Our waiter went to the bar to give a customer their check. He returned to where I was still standing waiting to change my order or speak to the chef. Our waiter proceed to process another transaction. As I stood there waiting, he said he could have the chef come to our table to talk to me. At this point my request to change my order had not happened, nor did I have any assurance that I was not going to get sick from eating the chicken salad. In frustration to our waiter's indifference to my situation, I told him to cancel our order that we would pay for the ice tea, but were leaving. He said he was sorry no one was helping me. I am very impressed with the service, care, and hospitality I received at brio for Mother's Day! Service was excellent! The food,,, deliciously amazing! Bathrooms clean and greeted promptly by hosts upon arrival. I highly recommend the spaghetti bolognese however this time my sister mother and I shared the artichoke dip as an app that came out quickly, and the three of us shared a craft of rossa sangria the steak salad.... that actually came med rare as requested and the chicken limone was savory and delicious! I enjoyed the atmosphere. It was such a lovely night to be seated outside. Our server was prompt and friendly. The house-made sourdough was dddivine!! But I'm sad to say that the entrées were just, so-so. The risotto wasn't the creamy/Al dente I look for in the favorite of mine. The lamb was properly cooked, but the Gorgonzola was slightly overpowering, and the greens served on the side were soggy, and quite greasy - they did not get eaten. I will certainly check them out again, as the menu is extensive. I'm sure I can find another dish to try. read more

We went in last Friday night and the food was overpriced and meh at the best. I got the strawberry chicken salad and it tasted very bland. The chicken tasted like the rotisserie chicken from Costco. My friend got the pasta alla vodka entree and the portion was small like an appetizer. Also it was freezing cold in the restaurant. We love coming to Brio! Very beautiful and spacious dining area and ambiance, and the food is delicious. My favorite item to get off their menu is their steak salad-trust me that when I say it's to die for that it really is! {Who knew that at an Italian restaurant the Salad would be my favorite dish?!}.
