Like other reviews, had a reservation at 8 and waited til 8:30 until we said screw it and sat at the bar. Don't take reservations if you're not gonna honor them. You're wasting people's time. Got our drinks right away at the bar but after 20 minutes, had to flag the bartender down to order our food. When the food came, my chicken was cold and my wife said her pasta had 0 flavor. Not impressed. Cleanliness: apparently not a priority... 1) We were seated at our table and there were still crumbs that didn't get wiped off. I used a menu to brush it off. 2) One of the appetizer plates still had a food particle stuck to it, which the server didn't even bother noticing when we set it off to where she could see it. 3) One of the sangria glasses looked as if it didn't go through a wash. Food: -took 45 minutes from the time we ordered; our side salad and soup both came out at the same time with our entrees which were obviously sitting for a while as it wasn't even hot. The fries were the last to come out, at least those were hot. -shrimp capri: some of the pasta were undercooked and the sauce was not the same that it was as the last time we ordered it -spaghetti bolognese: wasn't enough sauce but was fairly oily/greasy Service: was nice but she was a bit off on a few things; we didn't realize we needed to ask for water to go along with our one cocktail (she never asked if we wanted to order another drink), but she did make sure to refill our nephew's lemonade. I understand it gets busy and it's fine as long as you don't tell me it's about done but comes out lukewarm, then to me, it's just lying and poor customer service when you know you shouldn't be bringing out entrees you yourself wouldn't approve of. I have to say the food was a letdown this visit. I think I always remember Brio to be better than it typically is. My husband ordered the Vodka pasta, it was thick and rich. It was very good however the pasta and chicken seemed dry. I ordered the scallop risotto and although the risotto was very tasty the scallop I tried was both undercooked and very gritty and sandy. I told our server who was horrified and quickly allowed me to choose something else from the menu. To be honest I'd lost my appetite and just chose a wedge salad. Our server offered us the warm chocolate cake and it was the best part of our meal. Rich and indulgent. The sourdough bread was also amazing. You may ask why I'm still giving Brio 4 stars. The food was a 2 and our awesome server Alex offered us 5 star service. He was dynamite! Thank you Alex! read more

Worse EXPERIENCE EVER. NEW MENU sucks Service is better at McDonalds. My expectations were based on previous experience and this place has gone south since Cory the last manager left. I arrived after making a reservation and entered the restaurant. They were two Hostess at the front. One attending one party and the other one didn't even acknowledged us. The first hostess left to seat the first party and the second hostess did not even say hi to us. She got on the phone and did not even gesture a second as a courtesy to have us wait. After five minutes waiting, she finished her conversation and left the host station for 45 seconds. She finally return to what now has been 9 and half minutes since my arrival to say: Hi, can I help? Well, yeah. After almost 10 minutes and having a reservation, she barely went to get our table ready. She came back for us and got us seated. We got water from the waiter and he said he will be back to take a drink order. The place was dead. We saw a few tables inside maybe 4 and he took 9 minutes to return with a drink order. He forgot the bread and said he would be back to take the order. I said no and requested to place my kid's order since he was starving. Now it has been 25 minutes since su have arrived to the door and he took my son's order. I requested a Bellini and got a slushy drink (nothing like the real drink Bellini which is a liquid drink not a slushy) He came back at what now is 32 minutes since our arrival and took our order. I place the order for the entire party as it is my mother's birthday. They didn't acknowledge her birthday even that I notified the restaurant in writing through my reservation. They finally got our food. The kids pizza tasted bad. The chicken limone was raw. The lobster ravioli was extremely oily and was drenched in oil swimming in my plate. The waiter was absent and not a lot of personality going. Delayed, never checked on the table until the end. Did not pack our food and never picked one plate to keep our table tended. read more

This is the 2nd time I have come. Both times have not been busy. But, the unpleasantness of waiter this time was horrid. It's was like he was angry at the world or us. I only stayed and did not walk out because my 10 year old wanted the pasta dish. While we were gracious there were no thank yous or you are welcomes coming from him. I am not sure if we looked like we don't leave a tip or what? Normally I leave 20%. This time absolutely not. I am sitting by the kitchen hearing him yelling and talking about "you know who doesn't want to work he doesn't". I am posting this as I am eating my soup. I asked a different person who delivered our food and he said there was nothing wrong and they weren't short staffed. I told him our experience was bizarre. I am giving 2 stars and not one because the food was ok. Leaving $5 tip killed me and I paid full price. Our waiter was apparently named Drew. The only reason I know this is because he was talking to the table behind me and introduced himself. He never told us his name or introduced himself. After listening to him talk to the table behind us I am convinced he was purposely going out of his was to treat me and my 10 year old bad. read more

We use to love it here but they seem to be on their way out. The hostess (Avery) was beyond rude and unprofessional. The manager Justin justified her behavior by stating "she got overwhelmed by 2 reservations that called in at the same time and did not like being starred at while overwhelmed". The response was mind blowing. Honestly, given that the restaurant had 3 tables total, we were surprised by the poor attitude of these two. When we got seated the hostess didn't provide kids menus for a 3 and 8 year old. We waited 20 minutes to be seated due to what I imagine is the result of the current hiring shortage our country is facing. When we asked the hostess if service was slow tonight as we have 2 little ones (we didn't want them getting restless or disruptive) her response was "you'll get served" , rolling her eyes and walking away. The waitress was very kind and attentive. However, when we asked for kids menus and shared our experience with the manager, his response and the hostess unprofessional demeanor ruined our experience and made us want to leave. We left the waitress a tip as we have all worked in the food industry and know what it's like when the host or kitchen impact our livelihood. My husband and I had eaten here for lunch once before and the food and service were great, so we went there for dinner this evening. We will never go back there again! I ordered a filet mignon. The steak was overdone so I sent it back. The new steak was sent out in pieces, which was truly disgusting to look at. The fingerling potatoes were dry with no seasoning and the broccolini was not even lukewarm. The excuse made for the steak was that the chef or cook was new. The bread was good, my drink was good and the waitress was ok and that's what rated the one Star. My husband's pasta dish was not as described on the menu as there were no sun dried tomatoes and his draft beer was less than cold enough. All this disappointment for over $100. None of our food was memorable and much less in quality than expected. read more

My wife and I used to love coming to Brio when it first opened. Their shrimp and eggplant appetizer was one of the best things we had ever tasted and their bread putting was amazing until they got rid of it. Even after they started removing some of the better items from the menu it was still very good and the steak salad was always very fresh and tasty and the pastas were cooked well with great tasting sauces. We used to go at least once or twice per month and I don't remember leaving less than satisfied. Unfortunately our last trip was very likely our last and it seems to be that many restaurants were affected by Covid and this may have been another one. We ordered our usual favorite shrimp and eggplant appetizer and after eating it a hundred times we are pretty familiar with how it is supposed to taste. This time it was very oily and the sauce was broken and you could taste the oil on your lips and see it all over the serving dish. When we brought this up to the manager (very tall guy - did not catch his name) he was annoyed with us and started explaining that it was butter and not oil. Regardless of that point it was still a broken sauce that was not what we normally get so not sure why he was trying to defend it. They used to give these small crispy pieces of bread with the butter which were a nice treat and those too are now gone. We received our entrees and NOTHING was good at all. My steak salad looked very unappealing especially after paying $20 for it. The lettuce looked old and low quality and it did not have anywhere near the presentation that it used to have. The steak was too charred/burned and had a bad taste, and it was no where near the quality it used to have and I did not even finish it. My wife had the pasta Brio and again it was very flavorless, sauce was runny, the chicken tasted old, and the pasta was undercooked. My daughters kid menu lasagna was completely undercooked and hard around the edges. Again, nothing was good at all. We paid $100 for this meal with no drinks or dessert and I felt like I got mugged on the street for that money because the meal was extremely disappointing. It is very sad that an old favorite and "go-to" place of ours has fallen so far that we are not able to go anymore. We have always had a certain amount of leeway for restaurants being "not perfect" but still within the boundaries of acceptable but Brio has now unfortunately crossed that threshold and gone into our never again list. read more
