We ordered the lobster sliders to split and they were great. The order comes with three sliders, and each one was generously filled with chunks of lobster. I also loved the addition of diced tomato and avocado, which added texture. The sliders were a good size. We added a side of truffle fries, which unfortunately fell flat. They looked like regular fries and, while they did have some truffle flavor, they were missing the Parmesan cheese and seasoning that typically make truffle fries stand out. They were okay, but a bit disappointing. We had a nice lunch. The only downside was the price. For one appetizer, one lunch entrée, fries, and one cocktail the total came to over $75, which felt a little steep for lunch. That aside we loved the sliders and would order them again and we always order the Bang Bang Shrimp when we're there.

"Basted " I responded. They arrived half cooked POACHED ( sloppy whites). Certainly not the expected description of avocado toast. Where is the mashed and seasoned avocado we have come to expect? Sorry Austin but this is just not a great brunch item, at least for my taste. My admiration for The Creek still stands strong just not going for brunch again.

To our delight, Cindy--yes, the Cindy many of us have known and loved for years--was there bartending and serving with the same warm smile and stellar service she's always been known for. This time, though, she's doing it at a place that offers great food, a fun and cozy ambience, and a dog-friendly patio--a rare combo that's hard to beat. Let's face it: dining out isn't as affordable as it once was. But as I told Cindy, I don't mind paying for quality food and excellent service--and that's exactly what you'll get at Tox Bar/Speedy Burger. For years, we were loyal regulars at Brisam's, visiting twice a week. But over time, prices soared, food quality declined, and the atmosphere never improved. The space started to feel tired and neglected. Sadly, the lack of connection from ownership didn't help--unless you were a former mayor or someone "important," you likely didn't get a second glance. Let's be honest: Cindy carried Brisam's for 18 years. Her genuine care for customers was the reason many of us kept going back. Now that she's moved on, it's no surprise to see the shift. So here's my suggestion: support a place that supports its people and customers. Tox Bar/Speedy Burger is that place. Stop by on Sundays or Tuesdays this summer to see Cindy in action. We were on a slight sugar overload because we not only got the dessert that came as part of the prefixed meal, but they also brought out a 'birthday dessert' which was a giant slice of birthday cake, the creme brulee, and apple pie a la mode. It was a great touch but a lot of sweets. Some points to note but nothing to really 'complain' about... Other staff did come in to grab supplies from the supply closet which didn't bother us too much but some might think that it would feel like you were placed off into a supply closet turned 'private dining' rather than a true private dining room. The AC didn't seem to be working well so extra fans were brought into the room which helped slightly but it was still quite warm in the room. There is a steep ramp about 2 feet long that made getting in and out of the room a little challenging for my father in law with his walker and overall balance, but otherwise was not an issue. All the staff we interacted with were really nice. We enjoyed being in the private room and not having to worry about disrupting other dinners, but there were some quarks with the private room. Staff often came in to access some kind of storage room within the room, we would have loved the ability to control the music ourselves, which was on when we arrived but stopped part way through out meal. The room is also separate from the rest of the restaurant, I assumed it would have been inside the same building but it is off the patio in it's own building and down a very steep ramp.
