Clearly this place needs no introduction or convincing. It's the second best reason to come to the beach. Beach. Britt's. That's all you need. The donuts are delicious. They're very "airy" they're not heavy like your typical donut you'd find at Dunkin's. The taste is amazing. It's just a phenomenal experience overall. There's going to be a wait, but it's worth it.

Fast service even when busy. Walk up and order and wait, counter spots to eat. Delish donut, light yet crispy and glazed perfectly. Cash only. Retro diner vibes inside.

Classic stop while strolling the pier. There is a little wait as they are extremely popular. However, they are well worth it! Especially, if you eat them while still warm and fresh out of the oven. The building gives a 1950s vibe with the colors and layout of the bar seats and tables. When in doubt buy the dozen!

Can't eat the price of their donuts. $1.25 each and that includes tax. They only make one kind of donut and it's a light one, glazed and is served made to order, warm and melty. On a Sunday morning in June the wait time was about 30 minutes, but it's air conditioned inside if you can find a seat. The counter people are nice and the donuts are light and fluffy. Many customers were getting multiple dozens ($13 per). They've been doing it here since 1939, so obviously what they're doing is working. No wifi and no call ahead orders. I'd return here for sure, but next time I'd order more to take home.

My sister was raving about this place so we had to try their donuts. They specialize in just one type of donut, glazed. And it's not your regular donuts. The batter they use is different than Krispy Kreme or Dunkin donut. I want to say it's similar to funnel cake. The donuts are delicious but I would recommend eating them the same day. If you leave them for the next day, they become soggy unlike KK or DD's donuts. However, if you own an air fryer, pop them in there, it will bring the donuts back to life. Oh also, I would come during non busy hours. Otherwise be prepared to stand in line for about an hour or so.

What a gem! A Britt's doughnut is such a treat--hot glazed doughnuts right out of the fryer. Get a dozen, cause that's how many you'll want!

We arrived around 4:30 and beat the dinner rush, which gave us a beautiful evening outside. From the moment we sat down, it felt less like going to a restaurant and more like coming home after a long day at the beach. Our servers, Abigail and Allie, were both wonderful--friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Service like that is getting harder to find these days, and they deserve a lot of credit. We started with the fried okra, and there were barely any left by the time I thought to take a picture. Crisp, hot, and some of the best we've had. The Black and Red wings were excellent too--full of flavor with just the right amount of kick. The fries were seasoned and cooked just right. The outside seating has a great atmosphere, and even the little details stood out. The place was clean, including the restroom, and seeing their 97.5 sanitation score posted proudly gave us even more confidence. They even had a Venus flytrap outside--only in Carolina Beach can a restaurant have its own bug patrol on duty. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

This review involves both Celtic Creamery and DoorDash…read more If you order from Celtic Creamery through DoorDash, be aware. My last two orders had major issues. On 6/4, my order arrived completely melted because the ice cream had leaked through a paper lunch bag after the containers weren't properly closed. I figured "mistakes happen" and let it go. However, my most recent order (6/23) arrived with only one of the three items I paid for ( on a $45+ order). I remember not too long ago when businesses took more ownership of problems like this. I know DoorDash can issue a partial refund, but that isn't really the point. I paid for a service and tonight when something went wrong, everyone just pointed somewhere else. The part I can't get past is that LITERALLY no one could tell me where the rest of my order went. Like, hello?! The driver said there were no additional bags. So I called Celtic Creamery and the guy on the phone said they had tried to tell him there were multiple bags as the dasher left (which I have a hard time believing when the dasher was a 5 star dasher with over 1k ratings.) But if that's true...then where did the other $27 of my order go? What surprised me even more was that NO ONE offered a practical solution. If the missing items were still at the shop, I would have gladly driven over to pick them up. Even something as simple as, "We're sorry. Come pick up the rest of your order, and here's a free scoop or a small gift card for the inconvenience," would have gone a long way toward keeping me as a customer. Instead, the conversation ended with little more than an apology and no real attempt to resolve what happened. A lack of ownership is what lost my business. While DoorDash shares *some* responsibility, these issues have happened with different drivers on multiple orders from Celtic Creamery, which makes me question the store's packaging and order verification process. If a business chooses to offer delivery, orders should be packaged securely and verified before they leave the store--especially when signature desserts cost $12 or more a piece. The ice cream itself is good. Our first order was excellent, which makes these last two experiences even more disappointing. Unfortunately, repeated problems with missing items, melted deliveries, and a lack of accountability mean I won't be ordering from Celtic Creamery again.

The everything bagel with sausage and egg was outstanding. One thing that immediately stood out was that the seasoning actually covers the entire bagel--not just the top like you find at so many places. Looking around, it appears they do the same with their sesame, poppy, and other specialty bagels. It's a small detail, but it makes a big difference in every bite. The restaurant was clean, bright, and welcoming. Their chalkboard menu is easy to read, there's an impressive variety of bagels, breakfast sandwiches, cream cheese flavors, and even a full vegan menu. You can tell they take pride in what they offer. What impressed me even more than the food was the staff. Everyone I encountered was genuinely friendly and welcoming. They noticed I was a military veteran and applied the veteran discount without me having to ask, which was a thoughtful gesture that I sincerely appreciated. Whether you're grabbing breakfast on the way to work or just looking for a great bagel, Seaside Bagels is well worth the stop. Excellent food, excellent service, and a staff that makes you feel appreciated. I'll definitely be back.
