My wife and I go to this restaurant fairly often because she is a vegetarian and they offer quite a bit of vegetarian and vegan entrees. She enjoys the Seitan Tenders. They have a menu that is constantly changing with specials and they are usually pretty good I have found. Onion rings are my side of choice, but we have tried a lot of things on the menu and nothing has really been bad. I would recommend this place. Prices are very fair. The pub snug near the bar brings a nostalgic British feel. Similar to the Wellington Pub in Broad ripple, the Brew Pub is one of my favorite winter establishments. The bartender was very friendly m, and the food is always served so promptly after ordering. The rotating special menu is always a treat, along with the line of house brews on tap. Every pint is $4 with a larger size for $5. Huge plus for vegans in Indy. As I've said before, this is by far one of two of my favorite vegan restaurants in Indiana. Fish & Chips were on special for $7 so had to try it, and out came a big portion of food which made me salivate. The fish was good, not too greasy not too dry. You can easily wash it down w/ any of the craft beers on tap. One thing to note about BRB is the rotating specials menu, which strays from the normal pub food fare. I was tempted to order the Spicy Porkless Tofu Tenderloin or Goat Cheese pizza if the F&C wasn't on special. In a previous visit, I also had the seafood stuffed calamari which doesn't look or sound appealing but was actually quite tasty. First time here, the wife wanted pizza and somehow the place showed up on the list of best pizza in Indy. Huge fan of 3wiseman, but we want try something else for a change. The Porter was good, Scotch eggs were pretty good as well. Didnt enjoy the beer cheese crock with bread, found it a bit salty and way more beer than cheese. As for the pizza, we went with a large pub pizza which was good but 3wisemen dr herrs is still much better. Best part of the meal would be the bread pudding, just good sweet bread pudding with some layers of chocolate and a good strong bourbon glaze. Usually the beer is better, not so good today. I feel a better waiter would have presented the beer options better. My sandwich was awesome and my friends salad was good, but our waiter kind of ruined the moment for us. He did not suggest anything nor did he comment on any of the food we questioned him about. Been to Broadripple Brew Pub many times. This place is always packed! There is usually a wait, but its totally worth it. Its a traditional Irish Pub with a twist. They have many typical Irish dishes, but also have pizza and other options as well. You HAVE to try the scottish eggs. They are probably the best Ive ever had! Prices are reasonable, atmosphere is great, service is usually pretty good. We had an issue with our server the last time we were there, she obviously did not want to be there. They have lots of vegetarian and vegan options, which is greatly appreciated in a city lacking in vegan-friendly restaurants with more than 1 or 2 options. Some of my favorite dishes at the Brew Pub are the philly pretzel appetizer with stone ground mustard, vegan fish and chips, the nutty burger, and the nutty garden pizza (sub vegan cheese!) It's the oldest brew pub in Indiana and has influenced a lot of the other breweries that have popped up in recent years. This place was on my radar due to a lot of recommendations. We ate here last Sunday afternoon at around 12:20 PM. Since my fiancé and I had been exploring the area a bit, I was a little warm and wanted to dine inside. While dining inside shouldn't have been a big deal, what we didn't realize that after we were seated inside near the bar, we would not even be helped until 15-20 minutes after being seated. Everyone was seated outside at this time. I don't think our server even bothered to check inside. This was the first red flag. When the bartender asked if we had been helped, that was when our server came in and took our drink order. The Bloody Mary that I ordered wasn't even mixed, and my fiancé got the wrong beer. We thought about complaining, but we wanted to give more chances, since this place was highly recommended by others. Apparently, there were only two cooks in the kitchen, so they were pretty backed up. A woman that was dining outside had complained to staff that their orders were taking forever. We just waited patiently and twiddled our thumbs. Our server never told us the status of our food and didn't seem friendly to us. We only overheard the delay from the bartender and the woman dining outside. About 40 more minutes pass until a man who appeared to be in-charge asked us how we were doing. By this time, my fiancé and I have decided that if the food doesn't come in 10 minutes, we're leaving. It's ridiculous that an order of two veggie burgers takes about an hour to arrive. This man in-charge seemed pretty stressed and told us that he was going to make things happen in 10 minutes. He apologized about the delay and comped our food. This guy-in-charge is Broad Ripple Brewpub's saving grace. Our food arrived. I ordered the Southwestern Veggie Burger that was supposed to come with salsa. It did not. However, at this point, my fiancé and I just wanted to eat. We were not going to complain since our food arrived. The burgers were nothing special, but it was decent for the price we paid. This place didn't leave a good impression and we are not going back. We applaud the manager for dealing with the stressful situation of having only two cooks during the Sunday lunch hour. We left the bartender a little tip because she was the one who actually noticed we weren't helped before our server. I did not like our server. There seemed to be no shortage of servers, so there was no excuse to not even be helped after 15-20 minutes of being seated. She didn't even offer us waters. I really wish that the tips didn't go to her and that they went to the bartender, the manager, and the cooks that were struggling. read more

Nice, relaxing Sunday afternoon lunch. Atmosphere great for conversation in the dining room. Service was quick and friendly. The lunch portion Fish and Chips was great as was the coleslaw and tarter sauce. Other items ordered were Brisket sandwich, Penne pasta with veggies and marina sauce, and the Pub Burger. The scotch egg burger at the brewpub is one of my favorites )you have to add egg and cheese) with the pub chips and a side of the beer cheese. I haven't ordered anything different in a long time (except the beer cheese crock if I am not by myself). I generally head to the brewpub when I am in the mood for the burger and am always impressed with the various beers on tap. Something for everyone and great service!! I had my second visit to the brewpub this weekend while my parents were in town. I'm a vegetarian so sometimes struggle finding a place that will satisfy their meat cravings while still having decent options for myself. I can tell you that BRB is one of few restaurants that has really hit the mark with their vegan/vegetarian options. While they have your typical black bean burger they also showcase meals as specials for a period of time. This time they had a BBQ sandwich make from jackfruit! On this particular visit I got Violet's Vegan Burger. I'll admit the patty wasn't my favorite but the vegan sauce added nice kick to the sandwich. That being said, I would HIGHLY recommend the Garden Sloppy Joe. I ordered this my first time here and it was beyond delicious!! I was raving about it for days it was so good. For the meat loving readers - my meat eating diners got the Peanut Butter Burger, chimichurri chicken wrap, and the Bbq chicken sandwhich. The portions were more than fair for the price and everyone was very satisfied with their choice. Most entrees are $10 and sides are extra. We got a full order of onion rings to split between 4 of us and it was just the right amount to have a taste. They were NOT greasy which was a plus in my book & are more like shoestring onion rings and not just 2 or 3 giant onion rings. Service was great - our waiter greeted us within minutes of sitting down and was very attentive throughout our visit. He was great at recommending beers based on our preferences. I have visited the brewpub several times now, and I'm finally ready to write up a review. I really like the decor here. It's old-school brewpub with lots of games for children. The beer is pretty good. I wish they would do some more adventurous offerings, but I can still get a good beer here. The food can be a mixed bag. I had a small pizza that was a gooey mess (mushrooms and hearty toppings need a thick crust for stability). I love all the scotch egg offerings (you can get it on a pizza or burger here), but they are so salty. The burgers are good. The desserts are great (please get the frangipane). It's also great to get the ploughman's plate and a beer, and just relax for a bit. read more

Came on a Tuesday night and it was pretty empty. I don't like how they have really no parking. It was like 6 parking spaces in the parking lot . I guess thats expected for Broad Ripple . I had to drive pretty far to find parking. The service was okay. The waiter never gave us anytime to order. She kept coming back to the table every two minutes. It was my first time so I had no idea what to order. My other friend had been there once before and another friend had never been there either. My friend asked the waiter what would she recommend and she gave a really short answer like she was annoyed. My friends and I concluded that she just didn't like us. Lol We got an appetizer (veggie chips). For freshly made veggie chips, I thought they weren't very good. I have had store bought veggie chips that tasted better. I had the Elote. I have had authentic Elote and it tasted NOTHING like it. I was very disappointed being that it's one of my favorites. I will say, that had a lot of choices for Vegans and Vegetarians. Though my experience wasn't the greatest, becausethey have so many choices I'm willing to try it again. I will do another review after that. ....Consider this a 2.5 rating but worth a try. I recently moved to Broadripple from the near east side. I've visited several of the places in the village repeatedly. The brewpub offers me everything I really look for in a place with the exception of one thing. And that thing is friendliness. The service staff seems put off if you talk to them and they don't already know you. That is an awkward and unreasonable problem in a service industry. Your people have seen me on multiple occasions, I've tipped liberally ( 25-35%) and still you act like I'm someone to be cautious around? Service is ok here. But, when someone shows up 7 times in 7 days, maybe you should throw out the welcome mat a bit more. read more

So I live semi close. They deliver through GrubHub as well. Life is good. I am a fish and chips avid eater. Their's are not the best. The fish at least is not my fave. The house made chips are salty but phenomenal. The beer ale brownie is fab as well Chicken tenders have been purchased for my dog and she has voiced no complaints, but again she is a puppy so her tastes aren't discerning. I don't know if they are good or bad as my dog ate them all over the course of two days I also had their quesadilla. You can make it vegan or make it super not by adding chicken. My sister and I decided to finally visit Broad Ripple Brewpub because we wanted to try something different in our neighborhood. I have a gluten allergy and this popped up for being gluten-friendly which was surprising for the traditional "brewpub" restaurant. While many dishes have an English influence there is a variety! There were options for gluten free bread and buns. I ordered the Shepherd's Pie which was gluten free with the option to add bread for additional $$. I skipped the bread this time. I ordered the "lighter portion" which was still really large so the large portion could definitely feed two people. It doesn't come with any sides. My sister ordered the vegan sloppy joe which she was delicious (and she's not vegan!). I tried some sauce and it was. (It's not listed as gluten free.) The pub chips are a must have (cross-contamination could be a concern for gluten.) We sat on the patio and it was packed on a Friday night but service was great! read more

I had a decent time here with a group of friends for a birthday party. Despite some construction going on in the area, I had no issues finding a parking spot and we were seated quickly in a good location in the restaurant. Our service was just okay and I suspect it may have been a joint-effort that our meals didn't all come out at the same time and one of our table mates just didn't get their food at all until after most of us were already finished with our meals. I would have been more pissed off if it was my dish that didn't come out but they did comp the meal which is expected for the misfire. No harm, no foul...it happens. The fried cheese curds were delicious and basically popcorn mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce. Nachos were piled up large and tasty with a good chips to stuff ratio. I had the schnitzel with noodles and mashed potatoes (starch) which tasted very good. They had a lot of different beer selections to choose from and I opted for my favorite, ESB, which was very good quality for the style though a tad less bitter than I prefer. Any shortcoming in their ESB is forgiven, however, because it was served at the appropriate temperature unlike many other places. I didn't see anything on the tap list for growler fills but it's probably there. I went across the street to Books and Brews for a $8 fill special on Saturdays. I would go back. read more
