They often have lines but on Easter I walked right in and placed my order. As a splurge, I had an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and lox for $8.95. The bagel had the most delicious crunch to it and the lox was perfectly soft and flavorful. Brought it home to eat it on a real plate, but there is seating in the store too. There's also other amazing breakfast selections such as the breakfast combo which i usually get home fries, bagel with cream cheese, bacon, and then the coffee that comes with it all for about $9. WHOA that's a lot of cream cheese. I love the generosity but it was too much cream cheese for me. But hey, much easier problem to solve than not enough. The scallion was a great fit with the everything. The cream cheese is so thick that there's a bit of a cheese pull! Another yelper suggested getting one bagel with spread and one without, and sharing the spread between the two. Also, there's a light version of the scallion cream cheese. Loved how the bagel was crunchy and salty on the outside, and soft and lightly sweet on the inside. Only my second bagel here, but definitely better than my first. I was also tempted by the sandwiches, which they put on display with fillings already inside, ready to be toasted or otherwise warmed up. Like the cream cheese, they are super generous with the meat, cheese, and vegetables. Looks like their deli materials are from Boar's Head :D Wait, I just turned my head and saw their salmon bagel sandwich... Looks amazing. Other than food: I love this place. The owner is super friendly, breaks into Latin song every now and then. That's probably also because that's what plays in the shop. Bagels are so much cheaper than other places, even though this establishment is actually really spacious, clean, and well located. I literally get the same thing here 3 times a week at least. Salmon salad or whitefish with scallion cream cheese and tomato. Today someone from there calls me after I made my order, YELLED at me on the phone saying I couldn't get that. He goes on for a few minutes saying it doesnt come with scallion cream cheese. I said, I know theres no button for it so I put it in the notes like I do EVERY SINGLE TIME. I arrive to get my order and he tells me he charged me $3 extra just for a smear of cream cheese. Very disappointed. I ordered a delivery for the purpose of supporting local businesses during the pandemic. But the quality of food was so bad that I don't think I will order another delivery from this place again. I hope when I have a chance to go there myself next time, the quality will be much better. The omelette was too wet and tasteless placed on top of french fries, which made the fries soggy. Also, the portion of the omelette was smaller than the fries. This is unacceptable given the fries were the side dish. The bagel was fine, but the lox spread was not okay. There was way more cream cheese than lox, and this fish smelled bad. The menu has a great variety, vegetarian options and the prices are reasonable. I ordered around eight in the morning and my food arrived 0845. Blueberry pancakes(3), California omelette and cinnamon roll french toast with sausage. Everything was absolutely delicious and I ate almost everything because it's so frikin good. These guys and gals are amazing! There are so many working back there, I don't see how they stay so coordinated. SO GLAD to see people willing to do that this day and time. Businesses use the "team" word a lot but it just sounds lame. This crew of employees really do seem to be "all for one, and one for all". There is always a line (a good sign) but fear not -it moves rapidly as these guys know what they are doing. AND, they are nice, even taking time to quickly say, "hello", or "how are you". That is another customer service thing lacking in so many places. AND, the food is good, the coffee is rich and hot, the prices good. There are some people where I work who sometimes bring in Broadway Bagel bagels and when there are leftovers you can kiss what's left of my diet goodbye! The bagels are large, chewy and flavorful. Ugh. I didn't want to like this place more than Absolute Bagel. Absolute was always my go to. A buddy finally talked me into trying this place out, and they have one of the best bagels in New York. I don't know if I would say it's better than Absolute, but it's certainly just as good. The everything bagel with the scallion and bacon cream cheese was fantastic. Probably my favorite cream cheese I've ever had. I don't know how this place doesn't have the kinds of lines that Absolute has. Top notch to-go or delivery. Their bagels and breakfast sandwiches are great, but this is a favorite delivery choice of mine for a turkey sandwich or a burger. Got the onion bagel with plain cream cheese. It was a delicious NY bagel, good crust outside, soft inside. I hate those dense bagels, that just feel like paperweights with no flavor. Move over Absolute Bagel! For myself and my friends in the neighborhood, this is our go-to spot. Unlike Absolute, there's plenty of indoor seating to enjoy their amazing egg bagel with lox spread with a glass of their scrumptious in-house orange juice. Combine that with their efficient and friendly service and you better believe I walk past 3 other closer-to-my-apartment bagel joints to go to this one. Everything is decently priced, and there's a wide selection of spreads here, including strawberry- which I recommend with a blueberry bagel. Besides Bagels, this breakfast spot also offers a selection of wonderful baked goods, all freshly prepared, and if it's lunch time - there's a decent assortment of stuffed sandwiches to munch on. To conclude with - their coffee - which is cheap in comparison to a lot of other local spots, fits snuggly into that category of what I call "feel good coffee."
