It was a little out of the way, but I'm so glad we made the trek up here to try out Broadway Bagel! I had a bacon and egg breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel, and it was phenomenal! The bagel had a crispy exterior and a soft, doughy inside. They gave a very generous portion of bacon and egg inside the bagel. Service was efficient and helpful. Have recently rediscovered Broadway Bagel. I had only previously bought food in person, which was an okay experience. But now I'm more home-bound I decided to give them a try on Seamless for delivery. I've ordered a few times and each experience has been stellar. Food is delicious, fresh, as expected. Prices are not super cheap but given quality I'm very okay ordering a few days worth of food. I especially like the chicken salad, the bagels are huge and flavorful, with generous cream cheese (I like the scallion cream cheese). YUM such good bagels - went here 3 times during our stay on the upper west side. Everything, egg everything, and sesame bagels + scallion cream cheese were amazing. Now I've ordered this from other places and they did their twist to it and it's nothing special. This place though , wow . It was amazing . I would say it's the best I've had . Everything blended . It wasn't like your biting into a sandwich and one aspect stands out over the other . For example too much tomato flavor , or the onions are off or even not the right amount of cream cheese and lox . I have been a customer of Broadway Bagel for almost 15 years and today the staff was extremely rude to me after they messed up an order. I ordered a plain bagel with butter and an ice coffee with milk and sugar. Instead they thought I said hot coffee with milk and sugar and instead of just fixing the order and just giving me the ice coffee they decided to charge me an extra $1.34. I was staying in a nearby hostel and was looking for a quick breakfast before exploring the city. This place was literally the next street over so I thought I'd try it out. It looks a little run-down on the outside, but it was very busy around 9 a.m., so I figured it must have been good...and I was right! They have soo much you can choose from, along with lunch options. I went with a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich with an iced latte. I'll be honest, when I'm in the busy areas of Manhattan I don't expect friendly service. But every employee I encountered here had smiles on their faces and were very friendly, regardless of the long line they had. The sandwich itself was wonderful. It was so big though, I had trouble trying to finish it all! It's a little cramped to sit in the inside, so I would probably recommend getting your order to-go. Legitimately consistent and clean establishment that is a staple in the neighborhood. They recently renovated the decor to make it more modern and increased their staff. They lost a star because some of the new staff isn't as amazing but I guess time may improve that. They offer delivery, which is usually reliably fast, and their delivery staff learn your name, or at least they learned mine. They are my go-to for breakfast and sometimes even for lunch. The egg may not even be an real egg but rather a type of egg substitute . Coffee is ok but they need to allow customers to put their own milk in as customers should determine their preference.
