Stopped by Stellar Brew & Natural Cafe in Mammoth Lakes after an early morning swim at Wild Willy's Hot Springs, and it was exactly what I needed before making the long drive back to Southern California. I grabbed a breakfast burrito to go along with a maple latte. The burrito was filling and hit the spot, while the maple latte was really good without being overly sweet. Definitely a solid place to grab breakfast and coffee before hitting the road. Quick, convenient, and a great way to wrap up a morning in Mammoth Lakes before heading south!

Preferred their burritos are delicious, we'll have to try that next time.

We typically visit the other two coffee shops when we were in town but thought we'd give this one a try. I know our friend's daughter has loved these beans for 25+ years. We ordered a mocha and a carrot cake muffin. The mocha was pretty good, kind of a medium chocolate flavor to it. The muffin was quite dry. We took off the bottom 2/3 of the muffin and tossed it but enjoyed the top third because the cream cheese frosting was delicious! We heard their breakfast burritos are really good, we'll have to try that next time we are in town.

    Everything bagel, egg, bacon

I hate to give a bad review, especially for a small business but what we received today was completely unacceptable. We were on our way out of town around 9:30am and stopped to get coffee and grabbed an everything bagel with eggs and bacon as well as a turkey egg burrito from the grab and go section. The coffee was fine. The bagel was so hard and burnt that I could barely bite into it. I tried a couple of different spots and it was inedible. Whatever the egg puck was inside the bagel was hard and tasteless. The "bacon" was literally stuck to the bagel, I tried to peel it off and eat some but it didn't taste like bacon and was like leather. I'm having a hard time understanding why they would serve this? The burrito was just brought out from the kitchen. We bit into it and it was cold. The tortilla tasted fake. Again, why put this out there to purchase. Had we not been in a time crunch we would have turned around to show them what they gave us and request a refund. I've never thrown out food before but these were inedible. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 as the cashier was very friendly.

Definitely worth the stop. I had a Dirty Chai Latte with oat milk. Lots of great items to purchase.

I originally thought that the bomber bagel was a little pricy for what it is but this ended up being the most filling breakfast bagel I've ever had! I was so full I skipped lunch and had a light snack for dinner. This bagel is LOADED and the homemade pesto inside is amazing. I've also had a couple lattes from here- the turmeric one was not my jam (maybe an acquired taste) but I got the lavender one the day before which was solid. Also to note, I went here multiple days bc it's the coffee shop that opens earliest at 530am! So nice to grab a hot coffee before going out in the cold mountains

This place is a killer stop on your way into mammoth. Really cute inside with local artists featured and fun merch to buy. Great grab and go food, I think our group got one of all the hot and ready sandwich and burritos which we all loved. Got a simple oat milk latte, staff was super friendly.

Decided to try it for breakfast because a bogo drink special they had on Facebook. The drinks were delicious my mocha was rich and chocolatey. I loved the ambiance. The breakfast sandwiches were tasty and kept me full till dinner!

Decided to check this place out after comparing a few other smoothie spots. We stopped by about an hour before closing, so it wasn't busy at all. There's a good selection of snacks, merchandise, and even some warm food available. The menu is straightforward, and it's nice that you can substitute ingredients in your drink if you'd like. Service was super quick, and the atmosphere was cozy without feeling crowded. It's a great spot to hang out with friends, relax solo, or bring your laptop to get some work done. Smoothie was great, heavy on the banana flavor. Prices are pretty high but this seems like a town that relies heavily on tourism so it's understandable.

Cute little cafe located in Mammoth!! My friends and I came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. The line was out the door but it moved quickly! Workers were friendly & helpful. The inside is small, but there's also plenty of outdoor seating / benches. I got the Bomber Bagel, which was delicious! I chose the everything bagel for my bread. It came with a fried egg, tomato, spinach, cream cheese, and their homemade cilantro pesto. It was honestly the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. I don't know what they put in their pesto sauce, but it was SO delicious! I noticed some fresh garlic pieces in there which added so much flavor! I also got the spiced chai latte. It had the perfect amount of spice. Would definitely get both of those again! This place is definitely a must - try on a trip to mammoth.

After reviewing local restaurant Yelp reviews we chose The Stove and so very pleased we did. There is plenty of parking near and accross the street. The restrooms were clean. The staff were all wonderful, the menu extensive and wonderful seating outside. The inside tables looked great as well. We ordered a variety of skillets, denver omelette and the pancake breakfast with bacon. Everything was fabulous! We have returned since that trip for another breakfast and enjoyed the breakfast burrito and bacon and cheddar omelette both with crispy hashbrowns. Two visits, two 5 star experiences.

Our party of six had been waiting to be seated when another party of six arrived after us. Eventually, someone from their group asked about the wait, and the male host said, "We have a table," and waved them in. When we asked about when we would be seated since we arrived before the previous group, he claimed he had already called our name. All six of us had been seated, listening and heard parties being called--our group was never called. Kayla did apologize for the mix up, since she was aware we were waiting before the other group. Since we have been going to The Stove for years, we decided to give it another try, so later in the week, we pre-ordered three pies several days in advance and later added a fourth (Kayla added the fourth). When we arrived, only one pie (the one Kayla put in) was available, and we were told we could come back in two days--even though we were leaving the next day. The male staff member insisted we had changed our order, but the handwritten order sheet in the clipboard did show what we had originally requested. The other host was apologetic but told us the mix up was because Kayla (who wasn't there at the time) made a mistake and didn't complete the order. We explained that the male host took our order. We appreciated that she discounted the one pie we did receive. Instead of eating there, we went to The Warming Hut down the street, where the service was friendly, the food arrived quickly, and our food was good. We understand mistakes happen, but it was the dismissive and rude customer service of the male host --not the mistakes themselves--that made this experience so disappointing.

When our waiter delivered our entrees, he noted that he would return with the bread shortly. However, it never arrived during the course of our meal. After we finished eating, a different staff member came by to asked if we're ready for the bill. When I mentioned the missing side, our original waiter finally brought out a single, untoasted slice of sourdough with butter alongside the check. When I informed him that I no longer needed it since we had already finished our meal, he mumbled something under his breath, abruptly told us to pay at the front, and walked away. We received absolutely no apology for the oversight or for his dismissive attitude. While the kitchen staff did a lovely job with the food, the front-of-house service needs significant improvement. I highly recommend management focus on training staff to be more attentive, understanding, and considerate when handling mistakes.

No other business does this on Reddit. First, service is very slow and pretty haughty. I had to wait 30 minutes for a simple pesto chicken crepe. It tasted disgusting. I got the apple dessert crepe. It was full of little cubes of raw apple that just fell out of the crepe. There was barely any cinnamon or sugar in it. I also got the pesto crepe. There was a splash of pesto and a couple little pieces of chicken. 90% of the crepe is the bread or galette or whatever. The rest (which isn't much) is just thrown in there. At $16 each, this was a complete ripoff, even worse than the usual Mammoth ripoff. The ambiance is pretty good though and they have a nice wine bar area. I could see this place being good for breakfast, but it's not worth spending any more of my money there.
