Above and beyond service, flavorful food and amazing prices. I remember coming here when I first moved to Montebello almost 20 years ago. The quality of the food is still the same. The pies are amazing. The chicken is crispy and juicy and it just feels like home. Unfortunately, the original owners are no longer with us, but whoever is managing it is keeping their quality and customer service. If you're in Montebello I definitely recommend stopping here.

Doesn't look like much from the outside, but they've got some solid tenders, fried chicken, and pies. It feels more like a takeout spot, though there are a few indoor seats if you want to dine in. I tried a handful of items: No. 1 Plate - Comes with 3 pieces of fried chicken. I got mixed, so it included both white and dark meat. The chicken was cooked well, and the batter was great, crispy, flavorful, and overall really enjoyable. (4/5) 3-Piece Chicken Tender Meal - The tenders were crispy, and we got them tossed in buffalo sauce, so they came fully coated. Pretty tasty and priced well. (4.5/5) Coconut Pie - Really good. Not overly sweet, just balanced and flavorful. The cashier called this one "so-so," so now I'm curious how the other flavors compare. Coconut was the only one available, but it ended up being delicious. (4.5/5) Overall, it's a solid spot to satisfy a fried chicken craving--great batter, crispy execution, and good pricing. Parking - Plenty of parking, so no issues there.

Been passing by this location many many years. Born and raised in Montebello . I can't remember eating this food as a kid decided to stop by from a food creator from IG and best decision I have made. The chicken is perfect seasoning crunchy-ist and cooked from perfection the coleslaw very delicious rolls. Also delicious. The service was also amazing. Please stop by and support this business. They also have lunch specials. Many next Friday I will stop and get the fish and chips which is only $10 where could you paid that for dinner. You will not regret coming to this restaurant.

Broaster Kitchen is a nice fried chicken casual dining restaurant located along W. Beverly Blvd. It shares a small parking lot with the neighboring liquor store among other businesses. The space is moderate, tables and chairs lined along the right side of the restaurant. Framed pictures all along the wall. Most of the front space is the counter and cake display (empty at the time I visited). I came for dinner and placed a pick up order. I ordered the 10 & 10 which included 10 mixed pieces of their fried chicken with 10 pieces of broasted potatoes. I also ordered two slices of their cheesecake which at the time was all they had left. The chicken was great, nice and crispy skin with not too much greasiness. It had a nice basic seasoning to it, and was not extremely salty like fast food fried chicken can be sometimes. The meat was juicy and had good salt to it too. I'm not sure how they marinate or brine, but it seems very simple and it works. The broasted potatoes were there large wedges that had been perfectly roasted. I love the skin on potatoes giving a nice texture. Because it was a pick up order the potatoes started to steam in the to go box, so I threw it in my toaster to crisp the skin up. I wish the potatoes were seasoned, I think they are purely roasted so it was basically eating a roasted potatoes which it wasn't bad. I just had to add some of my own preferential seasoning. If you're looking for a no salt option then eating them as is will suit you well. This place touts their homemade pies, however the display in front was empty and upon speaking to the lady at the counter it seems they start baking their pies on Wednesday and sell them through the week into the weekend and whatever is left is available. This includes the mini pies. They had 2 slices of cheesecake left which I took instead. For $4 a slice it seemed a little over priced for how small the slices were (see picture). The mini pies are priced the same so I would like to come back and see for comparison. Flavor was great though, nice compact graham cracker crust, that was buttery and packed together well. The cheesecake base was slightly tangy and sweet, a nicely executed cheesecake. Overall a decent place for fried chicken. If you're looking to support local businesses give this place a try!

Chicken was dry. The side portion that would've been fries but changed to mashed potatoes was just about the same size as the dressing. Not impressed.

I enjoy eating fried chicken very much depends who prepare it and cook the chicken pieces right in a fryer or an old fashion black skillet the best way to cook the chicken right. We have been to many chicken joints from different places in the states and some places in different countries. We decided to come to the Broaster Kitchen this my first time going here and try the fried chicken my wife been there many times. We step then we look at the menu display and decided what to order then my wife order the fish n chips and I order the three pieces mixed meal it comes w. ith fries, roll and Broaster potatoe. Each order is made to order fresh and hot when you receive it. It took about 20 minutes to cook the chicken right then they brought the food it looks good. I took a bite of it it was hot from the fryer but it was juicy and very crispy whe I took a bite. Each pieces was cook perfect each piece have that crispy crunch.. I really enjoy the chicken and Broaster potatoes were very good they two pieces and come with fries and roll. My wife did enjoy her fish n ship but it lacking lemon and the malt vinegar that a traditional condiments. The chicken was really good be next time I need to order five pieces.

Before the pandemic, I used to work a ton of local outdoor events where food trucks lined up ready to take you money. During that time, I got very familiar with said food trucks, their owners, and sometimes even hired them for events I was a part of. After the pandemic, some of these events sadly folded, so I pivoted to other avenues for outdoor entertainment work that were less-focused on food trucks and more on actual booths/stalls. Nowadays, my more poignant exposure to these meals on wheels was at breweries and beer festivals. This was my first experience with them and couldn't find any background information whatsoever. On a wing and a prayer, man, was their food good or for the birds!? PURCHASE 6pc Mango Habanero Wings & Fries ($20.00): Slathered in a milder sauce than I'd hoped, only the meatier drumlets were present which I appreciated. These had a nice freshly-cooked crisp to each bite as the sauce stuck to your lips and your fingertips. Now, the spud sticks were a revelation with their portion size, the amazing crisp and crunch in every bite as the roof of your mouth slightly got burned by the internal steam, and the awesome seasoning they used! I think I loved the fires more than the drumlets! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=0&select=9jW9dWaU8FWa90FtiuYNow Buffalo Blasted Chicken Sandwich ($13.00): A thick heavily-fried chicken breast dipped into homemade sweet and spicy infused oil, lettuce, homemade bread and butter pickles, drizzled with homemade ranch and Buffalo sauce on a brioche bun, this was a messy two-handed meal of sinful goodness. All was straightforward and greatly appreciated - thank you! PARKING (FREE) Being a food truck, they were at the beck and call wherever the event was held. In this case, the event/residency took place at Lawless Brewing Co. with plenty of free parking along the main drag of Craner Ave. and all nearby streets (including Magnolia Blvd.). Another option was a driving service like a bus, taxi, Lyft, or Uber (no nearby Metro train station) - 'nuff said. There were no TVs nor any background music except what was playing inside the brewery. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL The Wing Man Catering/Food Truck was a finger-licking messy yummy time, and I would definitely consider them again. My only fear would be their limited menu and eventually trying everything over time. The prices were a tad on the higher end, the food and portion sizes were very good, and the service was easy and straightforward. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $36.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip).
