This $*** was BOMB. Looking for a hot chichen sammich in Montebello? Look no further than Legend. Mac n Cheese was blah, but who cares?! You're here for the SAMMICH!!!! Fries were crispy and perfectly fried. I finished them before the sandwich. That claw machine is diabolically rigged. Player beware.

Tried Legends Hot Chicken and really enjoyed it! The chicken and fries were pretty good. Crispy and not too salty, though not the best I've ever had. The Texas toast was really good. It was buttery, perfectly toasted, and soft in the best way possible. Prices were pretty reasonable, and I really liked the decor inside. With so many chicken spots around, this one still stands out as a solid choice.

Pleasantly surprised. Big tenders. Very meaty. Lots of spice level choices. Friendly service. Decently priced.

Food was ok. Not a huge fan of their seasoning. Cajun fries were probably the best thing.

I got the Combo #1 as take out and it was delicious! I couldn't finish it because it was a big portion. I do wish they didn't skimp out on filling the ranch to go cups all the way. Next time I'll definitely adjust the amount of, what tasted like mayo on the sandwich because for my liking it was too much. We also got some wings that weren't crispy which is why I deducted points for. The breeding on them were soggy

friendly service ample parking had the sando at "hot level" hot was enjoyable, but not crazy spicy, could use more house sauce** chicken was not dry big portion size use the honey on the side to change the flavor profile** cole slaw was decent, may need to try mac n cheese next time loved the fries selection and were crispy order came out in like under 5-7 mins quite fast

A solid Korean fried chicken spot in Montebello with really friendly service. The chicken is crisp, juicy, and definitely a good value for the price. My only gripe is that the different flavor options could be more distinct. I've ordered a few flavors before and they tend not to taste too different from each other. Still, it's a satisfying meal and a place I'd definitely come back to.

Fried chicken is very popular in the United States, and became even more popular during the pandemic. There have been a number of fried chicken places popping up in the LA area, and I've tried several. I noticed Legend Hot Chicken was quite close to me, so I decided to try it for dinner. I came here with my wife one weekend. It's a very small restaurant but service is fast. We noticed that, in addition to standard fried chicken fare such as strips and sandwiches, Legend Hot Chicken also has more unique chicken offerings such as burritos and rice. My wife ended up getting the chicken macaroni and cheese, very hot spice level, and I got the garlic butter chicken rice, mild. Both orders came with deep fried chicken and sauce. I tried just a bit of my wife's mac and cheese. It was too spicy for me, but she enjoyed it. I liked my garlic butter chicken, although the chicken was just a bit tough and the batter a bit too crispy for my liking. The flavors were on point, though.

It seems like its a family restaurant, which the cashier was very kind and welcoming to us! We were also the only ones in the store. They don't really offer free water here, but luckily she was able to provide water bottles for us! We ordered the half crispy and half soy garlic flavored chicken. The soy garlic was actually very nice! I did enjoy that the most. The skin was also very crispy and crunchy, the chicken itself was very juicy. The chicken here feels like it's on the smaller end, but everything was still pretty good. I wouldn't say it's authentic Korean fried chicken, I feel like they're just missing the mark of the Korean flavors, but it does taste more like Korean inspired lol. I also wish the radishes weren't small cubes and wish they were bigger cubes. We also got calamari as well, this one was also pretty nice to have. Overall, the chicken here was still pretty good! We were well taken care of as this was our first time visiting. Tables were clean as well. Not too much seating, but it doesn't seem that popular either. One of the local places to support!

Winner Winner Chicken errr... Lunch…read more So we are always skeptical if there is way too much hype surrounding a eatery. However in the case of Howlin Ray's the hype is justified. The staff were super friendly and on point The Food: (A word on heat. They have 6 levels from Country with none to Howlin. We can take a decent amount of heat. I went medium and my son went hot. The medium was just the right balance with a nice burn especially on the back end. The next level, hot, was also really good and hit close to our limit) The Sando: a nice sized chicken breast perfectly fried. The chicken was moist but well cooked and the batter was seasoned perfectly. The slaw added a nice crunch to things, the comeback sauce added richness and the pickles added a brinney crunch to offset the goodness. The bun put up a valiant effort but about of the way through it gave up and the Sando became a fork affair. The Slaw: It was just okay, on the sando it was perfect, on its own, just okay The Macaroni Salad: Glorious, simply glorious. Whatever spicing they were using with the fries seemed evident here giving it a reddish hue. The the bits of dill, onions, and pickles helped balance the whole thing perfectly. This would be right at home on a North Shore plate lunch. Shake Fries: Perfectly fired crinkle fries shaken in that spicing they use. Dipped in the comeback sauce or on their own they were awesome. Banana Pudding: OMG so good. With the traditional vanilla wafer on top. Rich and luscious it was a perfect end to the meal. The only downside? This location is small and if you want to eat there there are only a few tables. Parking also sucked. Those thinks aside excellent place

Relatively easy to find spots Running Chicks takes up a medium sized space with seating on the left. There is a single use restroom in the back as well. The menu is simple, combos with drumsticks, wings and sides, only wings and some sides. We decided to try the 10 piece boneless wings in sweet spicy and soy garlic sauces and also ordered a curry rice with egg on top. The boneless wings were good, they had a lot of crunch but not an excessive amount of breading. I liked the soy garlic sauce a bit more, though wasn't getting a lot of garlic flavor. The sweet spicy was exactly that, good spice but no ther flavors than sweet...I think it was sorta going for a sweet sour flavor. The curry rice had lots of veggies with pieces of ground beef. It was good as well. The egg went from over easy to overhard as I think the carry over cooking continued to cook on top of the curry rice. Everything also came with a side of pickled raddish. Overall it was good, nothing amazing, which is fine. It's fast casual fried chicken. Would try again if out late and no other options.

You can just order at the kiosk but I wanted to ask a few questions but was kind of left to fend for myself. I ended up ordering the chicken tenders and chicken tenders with salad. I thought the restaurant ambience was nice. And after waiting for about 10 minutes, my order came out. They gave me extra sauce but again no explanation on why the extra sauce was provided. As for the food, I thought the chicken was kind of bland. I expected some Sichuan style but hardly any spice on the chicken. Once of the sauces was a Sichuan chili crisp, which gave the chicken more taste. Maybe the chicken was bland because I was supposed to dip it in the sauces? Aside from that, the other sauces were average (ranch and sweet/sour sauce). The salad was definitely a huge miss. They didn't dress the salad properly and only put dressing on top, so I just got a bunch of romaine lettuce at the end. The best part of my meal was the fries, which was crispy and fresh. Also, the fries were pretty generous. I think that the food was just average. Probably will not come back here but glad I came to check out what the hype was about.
