The food here is always excellent and the service is quick and very helpful with suggestions on the very extensive menu. We had to wait a little bit to get seated because of our large part, but they accommodated us sooner than expected. The restaurant was very clean and open with lots of natural lighting. It's very rare to find a restaurant where the front of the house and back of the house work in harmony. Management at this place is on point. We went to brunch joined the waitlist and we're seated exactly on time. All the stage was super friendly even though they were slammed. Our food literally came out in less than 8 minutes. It was what you would expect from broken Yolk super solid. Big Kudos goes out to the way they run it. Brother decided to choose a new place to try. The restaurant was nice, clean, the waitress Kelly was friendly. I ordered the vegan bowl with no mushrooms, made it clear I am highly allergic... They brought me the bowl with mushrooms. They apologized of course but my brother got his overcooked eggs and was able to eat, I just sat there and waited another 10 mins for my food, I took a few bites, it was delicious but I ended up taking most of it home because he finished his food and we left. We will try the one on Rainbow because I loved the Vegan bowl, the spicy sausage and potatoes were amazing and they have Lavazza coffee, YUM. But a mistake like that, had I not noticed could have cost me my life when I just came from the doctor with a clean bill of health. YIKES. read more

The service here was amazing! I brought my sister here for her birthday breakfast. The interior of the restaurant is really cute and wasn't as big as I thought it would be. They have a cute hexagon and honeycomb design going on throughout, and they also have outside seating, which is closed right now because it's cold. We arrived around 9 am on a Thursday morning. My sister got the biscuits and gravy with sausage patty, and I got the classic eggs benedict. The food came out so fast! I remember commenting how quick it was once we got it. The biscuit was massive! It definitely looks like a house made biscuit! When they brought out, it didn't have that much gravy on it, but Phillip was able to bring us some more. My sister said it tasted really good! They have a few different benedicts, and there's an option to try 2 different ones, but I went with the classic. I feel like hollandaise sauce can be hit or liss, either too tangy or not a strong flavor. This sauce was great! The eggs were also poached perfectly. I really enjoyed it and will have to try their other versions. Our server Phillip helped make our experience great! He was so kind, funny, and attentive. I could see he had multiple tables going, and he was doing a great job balancing everything. The food was pretty good, but I think Phillip's service is something that will bring me back! Anxiety induced questions I had before arriving that may help you: 1. Do they take reservations - No, but if you go online, you can join the waitlist before arriving. We had no wait, so we didn't need to join. 2. Is parking tight - Not really, this lives in a shopping center with a McDonald's and gas station, so the parking is ok. I would think if more businesses open in the center, then it could get a little crowded. 3. I'm not a breakfast person per se, but every so often, I get a hankering for some morning vittles. This particular day was Blueberry Pancakes (another Lisa'ism to note is I don't like blueberries). *shakes head*. Anyway, open digital food Bible (Yelp) and chose Broken Yolk. The ambiance was light and airy, and service was attentive and super quick. They have an extensive menu with multiple choices of Skillets, Benedicts, and South of the Border options. As I scanned the menu, I saw lemon ricotta pancakes, which I do like, and yet somehow I ended up with BYC fave menu item..."Sweet Trio." Described as "A sampling of our BYC favorites! One slice of Tiki Toast, one slice of Crunchy French Toast and one Cinna-Cake." Some context the Tiki Toast read: "Try me!" in my mind. Kings Hawaiian bread grilled golden brown topped with shredded coconut and some other stuff. And my Grandson had recently shared that he had a cinnamon bun pancake (at a different restaurant), and it was the best thing ever. This made me want to try BYCs. So, I guess there is a vague reason I ended up with the Sweet Trio. My order came out in 4 mins and 37 seconds. The presentation was lovely! Tiki Toast was not as flavorful as I hoped or it looked. Sad to say, I found it bland. Considering the ingredients, it had so much potential to be POW!! The texture of the Cinna-Cake was unpleasant to me. The cinnamon was grainy and didn't blend into the pannycake. The party in my mouth I was excited about got rained out. Crunchy French Toast completed the Trio. Bread rolled with Frosted Flakes, crushed almonds, and some other stuff. The outside was so sweet I got a toothache (not really). The server asked how my meal was and I reluctantly expressed, I didn't like any of them. Her positive, accommodating attitude made me feel a little less bad about sharing my truth with her. She ran down a laundry list of suggestions to replace my meal. I settled on hashbrowns and bacon. And like my Sweet Trio, my new order came out in 3 minutes and 4 seconds...with apologies... as if! No, I am the one who is sorry. Their hashbrowns are 5 out of 5! But they're just hashbrowns, you may think. Achieving a well done middle that doesn't taste like shredded, sweated potatoes with a BROWN, crispy outside that's doesn't taste burnt, ain't easy. BYC does this well and needs to be acknowledged for it. And the bacon was cooked to my liking which is somewhere in between firm and wiggly and it wasn't salty. Also my preference. My partner had the Chicken Fried Steak meal. He said it was seasoned well and really liked the white gravy. He said he could tell the eggs were "real and fresh". He had home fries with his meal and like their hashbrowns, these were great! I can not not recommend BYC as someone who doesn't really "do" breakfast. The service by Kevin was just perfect. He checked in just the right amount of times. This was our first time and he had great recommendations. The food was as good as it looks don't be afraid to adventure out of your comfort zone. I got French toast from the value menu as I attached a picture and it was perfect came with strawberry and butter on the side. I really appreciated that gave it that little extra touch. Kevin even asked how I liked my bacon ( I like it crispy) no one has ever asked me that. That was a nice extra touch. My daughter got the pancakes I thought they were going to be to sweet but it was just PERFECT they didn't over do it. She's only 7 and doesn't eat much so keep that in mind if you get it for your child you can get a single and make it a combo. My husband's plate is the one with has brown choose 2 Benedict's and you can pick 2 mix match. I REGRET my choice just a little because his was MUCH better even if mine was good. It can get loud but I think everyone that was in there was watching the game. Check out the drinks they have a mimosas flight they looked interesting I'll be bringing my friends and family to try those with me next time. They do have a bar area you can sit at and a full bar. Television all over so if you want to watch the game eat and drink it's a great place even to bring the family. They also have an outside patio where you can also eat. This is gonna start to sound like a broken record, but most of my meal here was great. Broken Yolk Cafe is a renowned chain originally from San Diego, and they've obviously succeeding enough to expand to a multitude of locations per their website. We now have three in the Las Vegas area, including this Henderson spot across the street from the Costco on St. Rose. My friend suggested going based on his family's prior enjoyment, and it's currently a 4.7 star avg on Yelp, so why not? Speaking of which, the Yelp Waitlist was very handy. Although it was packed for Sunday brunch, I had added us to the list before driving over, and we got seated almost right after I checked in with the hosts. It took maybe slightly longer than expected to place our food order since the server was running past while apologizing, but we needed time to parse the extensive menu anyway. I can hardly resist ordering Cold Brew coffee ($4.45) when it's available, so of course I got it. They added ice to keep it cold, but this hardly diluted the flavor which was highly roasted but not actually bitter thanks to the cold brew process. The creamers and such were completely unnecessary, and I wouldn't ever expect to need it unless it's a subpar cold brew like at Starbucks. Our entrees didn't take too long to get prepped once we'd ordered them, and they all arrived at once. The Rancher ($15.45) is an omelet with bacon, some veggies, and homefries inside. The fillings all seemed fine to me, but the star was the egg because it was tender and not overcooked. As for our choices of sides, the hash browns were fine, but the biscuit felt a little dry and needed jam to rescue it. The Monte Cristo ($15.45) isn't something that either of us have tried often or at all, and I still don't see the allure as compared to a croque monsieur. That said, the thin ham wasn't too salty and the raspberry sauce provided an interesting sweet note. I had no issue with the thin sliced bread either, but this just seems less "worth it" than other menu items. The Sweet Trio ($15.95) really brought it home for me. I'll always get a sampler if I can, and I saw this option headlining the French Toast section of the menu. However, the star was actually the Cinna-Cake, a pancake that's fluffy and flavored like a cinnamon roll. It's certainly sweet enough on its own, while the Crunchy French Toast and Tiki Toast both benefitted from the tableside syrup. Those two seemed soft enough too, with the former using sliced bread while the latter has slightly denser Hawaiian bread. The side of sweetened fruit seemed fresh enough and went well with everything here. Although it was crowded, it wasn't too loud to hold a conversation. Service was just fine for how busy it was. Our table had an odd placement near the kitchen, so I'm glad that we didn't have a large enough party to require someone to sit in the busy aisle. I would definitely come back to Broken Yolk Cafe if I were in the mood for breakfast. It's a solid breakfast or brunch spot that seems to do almost everything properly. read more

There is a patio area with water misters if you prefer to sit outdoors. Service - Our server, Christina, was attentive and super friendly.
