decided to go to broken yolk to try it out, they're open 7am-2pm except when we walked in a server walked over to us and immediately said "we're closed." and when i told them "oh but your signs and everything say you're open until 2" right away, the man cut me off and very rudely and aggressively said "YEAH BUT YOURE NOT GOING TO COME IN AN HOUR BEFORE WE CLOSE. THE KITCHENS ALREADY CLOSED" there was absolutely NO REASON to talk to customers that way, i understand you have closing responsibilities to take care of but there was ZERO need to talk so degrading and talking to us like we're children who shouldve known better. If your kitchen closes before 1 then probably state that somewhere on your property so other people who go around 12 or 1 are aware they will not get serviced. It's also not hard at all to talk to customers with a better tone and polite communication. You wanted us to read your mind and know when your kitchen closes? Absolutely not. This place was just bad overall. We came from my Grandpa's 90th birthday, because he loves this place (for some reason we don't understand) and they told us it would be an hour wait. Understandable since it was closer to lunch time, but didn't make sense considering a quarter of the restaurant was empty. After talking with a nice gentleman, he said he could push tables together as if we didn't mention that to begin with. I ordered a cappuccino, i get a latte. I mention the mix up, she comes back with basically a latte with a small dollop of foam on top. I should have just kept my first drink at that point. Anyways, the greek/Mediterranean egg white omelette was disgusting as was my "cappuccino." They also started stacking chairs and tables like 2 hours before actually closing, which I thought was weird, since people were literally still coming in and eating. After my family was seated, the first server took our drinks right away then our waiter took a long time to take our order. I noticed they only had two waiters in a room full of tables. We had to ask for our food after waiting for a long time. We weren't the only table waiting. In my opinion, the food wasn't worth the wait. But, a friend of mine convinced me to try again, so we decided to go for breakfast yesterday. What a turnaround! The restaurant was bustling, but we were greeted immediately by the hostess and seated within 5 minutes. We were asked for our drink order as soon as we sat down and our server, Lena came over almost immediately after. Lena was friendly and knowledgeable and very attentive. She made recommendations and kept our drinks topped off. I was concerned because in the past the food was...not good. Not this time! My husband got the pumpkin pancakes and they were delicious! We have been to this location multiple time and on the weekends and have always been happy with the service but today we stopped in around lunch time and service was terrible, smoothies ordered never came out until we reminded the server multiple times and drinks ordered we not replenished? We visited recently on a Saturday afternoon around lunch time. I expected a wait and it was about 20 minutes. What I didn't expect was the slowest service on the planet. We love this place and always visit when we're in the area but this time the experience was so bad I'm not sure I want to go back. The staff person who brought us our drinks was attentive but the waiter just continually ghosted us. We had to ask other staff to get our waiter for us. It took almost two hours to eat lunch because the service was so slow. On a previous visit, in February, our credit card was charged for our meal and another tables meal. It look us months to get that straightened out Not sure if this is a downhill alert or just a few anomalies but in all cases it was staff issues.
