I went to The Broken Yolk Cafe over the weekend in Palm Springs, and it did not disappoint. Their menu is packed with a variety of creative and delicious breakfast options, so we ended up ordering a few different plates to share. The chicken and waffles were incredible--the spicy seasoning on the chicken paired perfectly with the sweetness of the waffle. The eggs Benedict were cooked to perfection, and the pancakes were just as impressive--fluffy and full of flavor. I'd definitely recommend getting there early, though, because the lines start forming pretty quickly.

We had gone elsewhere but our first stop didn't have gluten free pancakes so we came here. Place was pretty crowded but it is a very large space. We were seated within about 10 minutes. Staff were super pleasant, from the hostess to the waitress all great! Food was enjoyed by all. Above average and very fresh. The main issue was the temperature of the items. They came out closer to lukewarm rather than nice and piping hot. The pancakes would have been much better hot. Even the butter didn't melt on them since they were so cold. But other than that all was great.

This restaurant is off the 111 Highway & Washington Street. My Family decided to the Broken Yolk Cafe , upon entering I could see how big this restaurant is. It's super Clean, highly organized with attention to details. Our waitress Lorena greeted us and sat us down. Their menu is amazing so much to choose from! From egg dishes, omelettes, eggs Benedicts, skillets, French toasts, waffles, crepes, burgers, soups and salad, sandwiches! She asked us what we like to drink . We ordered 1 Strawberry Banana Smoothie, Caramel Latte Iced, Caramel Latte Iced with Oat Milk, Pineapple Matcha, Cold Brew . Lorena asked if we had any questions and we did, she answered them beautifully! We ordered egg white eggs Benedict with home fries , Classic Avocado Toast Vegan Eggs, Chicken Caesar Wrap, Betty's Southern Biscuit & Gravy, Chicken Tenders, Hash brown, Golden Benedict, Poached Med Hash Skillet, Scrambled Whites Salmon Avo Toast. They great portion sizes & great prices ! Everything was so delicious!! Lorena, Lena always made sure if we needed anything , they were on it! Lorena and Lena were so very polite, sweet, kind, caring, super down to earth. They both have upbeat positive energy about themselves that really radiates! Lorena & Lena are your rarest Diamonds, their shine can never fade! Please treasure them greatly!!! I would like to Thank Broken Yolk Cafe & staff for a wonderful visit! I would love to especially Thank Lorena & Lena for making our visit so memorable! I'll tell all my Family and Friends to come and visit! Please be kind and courteous to these hard workers.

Food was ok. I'm a huge fan of Broken Yolk, but in fairness I arrived 45 minutes before closing. Took a bit of time to get seated even though we were the only ones. We ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with Eggs. My husband selected a biscuit with gravy and home fries for his side. I ordered the Huevos con Chorizo and chose a flour tortilla. I didn't realize it was one burrito sized tortilla haha. I also ordered myself a biscuit on the side. With some of the food (rice, home fries) we could taste it was sitting around. But everything else was decent. A tad pricier than I recall. But still decent.

Broken Yolk serves a wonderful breakfast. I've only been there for breakfast and I've been there a few times. There's so many options for breakfast in the Coachella Valley I rate Broken Yolk in the upper section. A little disappointed in the service no complaints just a little slow. Breakfast was very good very good. I wouldn't say that the best out there but they do a very good job.

Came here for brunch on a Saturday morning during stagecoach weekend with a friend. I added my name to the waitlist on the Yelp app and it said the wait time was 20-40 minutes. We arrived 35 minutes later and there was a handful of people waiting. The restaurant wasn't that busy but it took an hour to get seated... the staff were polite and thanked us for waiting so I did appreciate that. Once we got seated, we ordered right away but didn't get our drinks until 20 minutes later. We order the mimosa flight which was good. I ordered the wellness wrap with turkey sausage and it was alright but it didn't have much flavor. Overall it was a good restaurant but don't come here if you are looking for a quick meal haha.

I usually do not give a 1 star review....but... I've been to Broken Yolk several times in Orange County and decided to try out the one in La Quinta.. ONE AND DONE. 1. Joined the online waitlist. Pointless. Still waited over 20 minutes even though online line I was next up. Was asked to sit on the patio on an over 90 degree day. No thanks. Waited another 10 minuets. Manager sat us.. in a tiny corner hidden away and forgotten.. literialy. Told me not to worry he would let my server Lily know. I had to wave down a server and tell him we were forgotten. Finally Lily found us told me no one told her she had our table. I did ask her to move us and she did. She was very nice but obviously overwhelmed. 2. Food.... after waiting another 30-40 minutes for food. My husband was served a bloody burger with raw bacon. He asked for it medium well. It was sent back. I got a skillet, spicy and very small portion. I was NOT HAPPY especially with the manager. Thanks for all the apologies, but I will NEVER return to this place again. Terrible experience and ruined our Easter Brunch.

Service was very slow. There were plenty of servers available. They were not attentive at all. Food was not good. Pancakes were burnt. Steak was not cooked well. Home fried potatoes were also burnt. Ice latte was terrible. They literally just pumped syrup. Really fermented taste. And the apple juice is not even juice. I had to add water so it can actually taste like apple juice. Truly amazing service!!! My husband and I have been enjoying coming here for breakfast for many years and we look forward to continuing. Came here for my sister's birthday on our last day in Indio and had an amazing experience. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the ambiance was perfect for a relaxing breakfast. Lily, our hostess, was incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. She really helped make the experience even better with her friendly and welcoming attitude. This place definitely stands out compared to competitors like IHOP and Denny's. If you're looking for a great breakfast spot with excellent service and a chill atmosphere, I highly recommend it. This is a solid breakfast and lunch spot with a huge menu. Service is fast and friendly. I had the scrambled eggs with sausage. Very well made and coffee was constantly refilled. They have a "challenge omelet". It's a dozen egg omelet, with mushrooms, onions, cheese and chili! It comes with fries and biscuits. Thanks, but no thanks. OMG! I went to brunch at the broken yolk with my two friends and Lena was our server... She was the best! So sweet, great service, refills kept coming, and she even gave us recommendations on good places to eat dinner! Will definitely be coming back to the broken yolk because of her! The service was pleasant, and the atmosphere was relaxed, but we were seated next to a broom, dustpan, and the bus cart for dirty dishes, which wasn't the best first impression. The restaurant also feels a bit dated. A few simple updates, like replacing the dusty artificial flowers and keeping cleaning supplies out of sight, would make a big difference. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but with so many great breakfast options in the area, we probably wouldn't return.

The only thing worth mentioning - and this is completely outside the restaurant's control - is that they aren't able to serve espresso drinks because there's a Starbucks in the shopping center. They have cold brew and plenty of other delicious drinks. I order the chai latte every time because it was that good - I only wish it came in a larger size! If you're craving an espresso-based drink, grab one from Starbucks beforehand, and Beautiful Day is perfectly happy for you to bring it inside. Overall, I can't recommend Beautiful Day enough. Great food, welcoming service, fun atmosphere, and a place we'll absolutely return to every time we're in La Quinta.

He was a HUGE fan of the coveted 'Mami' sauce. I also got an oj mimosa with our brunch, which hit the spot. Overall the bread just didn't seal the deal for me. I'd come back here but not as a first choice sandwich option. I will say the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The store was clean and good signage for the sandwiches. Seemed like a popular place as lots of people in and out. A cute little perk is that the sandwiches come with a small side of potato salad and a pickle. Love that. The potato salad was actually delicious, 5/5. So random I know, but I loved it and I'd pay for a side of that for sure.

My husband & I went to Broken Yolk yesterday. For the 1st and LAST time. We were seated a few minutes after 12pm. The bus boy took our drink order right away & few minutes after our server took our food order. Her name is Maria R. I ordered a house salad & a BLT w/ fries. My husband ordered a house salad & Good morning burger w/ fries. (For those of you who don't know , it is a cheese burger with an egg over easy on top). 45 mins. Later we are still waiting for our food. Have not seen the server since she took our order. A gentleman passes my table as he's sweeping the floor( I'm assuming he was the Manager) and asks if everything is okay? I said "I'm still waiting ". He looked puzzled and asked if I was waiting for an Uber. I said , "No, I am waiting for my food order". He answered, "It will be out shortly ". About 2 minutes later the server comes rushing out with 2 very small bowls of fruit and sets them on the table. I told her "I didn't order that". She responded "For the wait and because of the meat you ordered it does take awhile to cook". Since when does ground beef and bacon take 45 minutes to cook? I told her " We haven't even gotten our house salads yet". She goes back to the kitchen and few minutes later comes back with the 2 salads and says" I had to yell at them about your salads ". Seriously, I'm supposed to believe that??!! It is now a few minutes after 1pm and our meal finally arrives at our table. I was so upset with the service, I told her to box up my meal , I was no longer interested in eating. My husband ate 1/2 his burger & boxed up the rest. Very disappointed in the service. The only time we saw our server while there was 3x. Once to take our order, once to bring out the order and once to bring the check. ( That was the only thing quick to come out , the check). Not once did she apologize to us. The only positive thing I can say about Broken Yolk was a young man named Cesar/ the Bus boy( He came to our table 5 different times (during the time we were waiting)checking if we needed more water or iced tea. So, Thank you Cesar. You were great!! I spoke with my Son who is a Chef at a local Country club and he said the excuse the server gave was BS, no way does it take over 45mins to cook what we ordered. " The server did not put in your order , she forgot ". I also spoke with 2 people who are servers (and have been for many years) & they also said "She forgot to put in the order " & shame on her for not apologizing and /or for not going back to the kitchen and checking what was taking so long. I have been in this place twice this week. The gf and I stopped by on Sunday for brunch and yesterday with a couple of buddies for breakfast. Both times we have received great costumer service. I honestly don't know why people are being so nasty with their feedbacks. However, I do have a couple constructive observations to give to the owners or management running this place. After over 10 yrs of management experience and working in the same industry, I am able to tell the poor management there. That lady named "Cecilia" who is the allegedly the "restaurant manager" is way far behind to have that title. No professional at all and rude to costumers and employees. I personally witnessed on Sunday how she poorly addressed one of the employees who had just came back from an urgent care for a second degree burn in his 5 fingers in front of the people that were waiting at the front desk to pay (we were one of them) or to be seated. Seriously, it was free entertainment! I feel really bad for all the people that have to put up with that lady. In our entire visit she was running like crazy all over the place yelling and intimidating every single employee making them feel awkward and uncomfortable, creating on each one of them a horrible work environment. Also, we kept hearing somebody yelling in the kitchen. To us it sounded more like somebody was giving commands to their slaves rather than a boss running a kitchen! We left with a sour taste in our mouth not from the service (BTW, Cheryl did a terrific job waiting on us), but for that bitter manager and so much yelling in the kitchen. Our second time, which was yesterday, my co-workers and I were sat at the last booth close to their service station. Our server Johana was prompt with her service and very professional. But once again, we experienced the rudeness of that manager. We were able to hear how mean she answered to Johana behind that station when she asked for her assistance to enter a very complicated order that the next door table placed. She should know she is there to assist each one of them, employees and customers in every matter. Instead of giving attitudes and act "bossy", please give support and confidence to your employees because at the end, they're the ones who make happy and returning costumers. Read the other review from June 24...it backs up my review here. The STAFF is the BIGGEST PROBLEM here with the quality of the food a close second. The review back in March is right on target. We had a large event there on Tuesday morning June 24. The first problem was the coffee. It was bitter and tasted like it had been sitting on a boiler plate for some time. I had to ask a server three times for coffee. The third time he was serving others with coffee and I had to try and get his attention. The second problem was the food. Because it was large group they brought the orders as soon as they were done. Understandable. However, the servers kept walking around with plates of food trying to find the person who ordered it. The places were numbered so all they had to know is the table set up and numbering. My food arrived towards the end of the meeting and was cold and barely edible. No server ever came back to check so nothing could be done. Later that morning I was not feeling well with stomach issues that I can only attribute to what I consumed here. Third problem, the acoustics in the room were the worse so not a good place for a meeting or large group. Afterwards, I met with a couple of other people and ordered an Arnold Palmer that was weak and watered down. It was barely passable and didn't say anything because I thought what is a buck or two. The server never came around to check or offer a refill. As I was leaving the bill was brought to me. $4.63!!!! Outrageous. When I paid the bill, several of the young servers were standing around chatting. I asked to if Oscar (one of the owners) was around. She said curtly, "no." I asked, "When would he be in?" "Oh, I don't know....he just shows up whenever and we really don't know when." Nice. I then asked if Robert (the manager) was there. She said, "no". "Is there a manager here?" She pointed towards the back, "She is." I tried calling the owner, Jennifer Babb, in Temecula and the person who answered the phone said that she wasn't there and didn't know when she would be in. No offer to take a message and was told to try and call back after 10:30 am. Well, guess they really don't care about the horrible experience I had. Interestingly enough, there were 7 open tables! 7! And the wait is 30-40 minutes? Ummmm okay. My party of 5 waited 15 minutes without anyone approaching as a server before I went to get someone just to get some drinks going. Who knows how long we would have waited. So bizarre. It gets better....after waiting and asking several times for a refill on my coffee, I finally helped myself. Other patrons followed suit. You could feel the frustration. You get the picture - the service sucked! We were soooo hungry by the time our food came that - although it was basic - we devoured it swiftly. French toast and pancakes for the kids. Corned beef hash, runny scrambled eggs with hash browns for me. HA! I've only been to the BYC in San Diego and was thrilled to hear they opened at this location. I was very disappointed this time around. I'll give it another try and maybe we will have better luck sitting indoors. OH! That reminds me - I used a coupon from the back of a Ralph's receipt, which does not state any restrictions. WOW. First, I was told I couldn't use the coupon on weekends AND/OR during certain times during the week. WHAT?! Where does it state that,I ask. She doesn't have an answer and just matter-of-factly states that I should just KNOW that. Really? So....she went to ask the manager who ok'd the coupon. It was the most ridiculous fiasco! AUGH! Just left there. Normally I dont write one-star reviews like this, but this place really angered me. I ordered an omelette, which they left out the cheese. No big deal. When I brought this to the servers attention, he took the plate back and, rather than remake this $16 dish, the kitchen sprinkled cold cheese on a now lukewarm omelette. I find this laziness unacceptable. When I saw how they handled the error, I politely asked them to remake it, making sure to mention to see that my home fries were well done like before. What I got was hot eggs folded around ice cold & raw contents, especially the onion which was fiery and pungent. Now I have onion breath for my 4-hour car ride home and indigestion. This was saddled next to barely cooked homefries. I would've sent it back, but I didn't want to waste more food from a kitchen with no integrity. I actually saw my original plate partially consumed on a table full of other sorta-eaten mistakes in a wide open back room as we were leaving. The Broken Yolk Cafe needs some fixing. My husband and I frequently go to the broken yolk over the last 4/5 years and like to sit at the bar on the weekends Vanessa keeps it nice and tidy, and she always has a pleasant & professional demeanor. I felt compelled to write this review as today we sat at the bar and had a couple that was a little aggressive towards us when we asked if they could move a bag so we could have a seat. We observed the same aggression towards Vanessa when one item was missing from their order she quickly rectified it and immediately brought out the item but they were still aggressive. She acknowledged their concerns and immediately got the manager to assist. She's always prompt and handles things gracefully and the whole team work so nicely together. The manager quickly came over and we always observe him around checking on everyone. We have seen the same people working there all these years and they all work so well together. I recently visited a breakfast place and I must say it was an amazing experience! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The menu had a great variety of options, from classic breakfast dishes to more unique offerings. I ended up ordering the eggs benedict and it was absolutely delicious. The hollandaise sauce was perfectly creamy and the eggs were cooked to perfection. The dish came with crispy hash browns that were the perfect accompaniment. To top it all off, the coffee was top-notch. I couldn't resist ordering a second cup. The service was prompt and attentive, and I never felt rushed despite how busy the place was. I am a breakfast fanatic. The Broken Yolk is smack dab in the middle of the Palm Springs tourist district and it's upstairs. It's a little daunting getting to the front door and it's well worth it! There is an elevator if you need it. The food was fantastic. I had the Salmon Benedict. Rarely do you get perfectly poached eggs in a touristy space. More than the food though, the space was decorated warm and inviting with a great view of the district. Remember that place where you had such a great time because all of the customers and staff were interacting and laughing? This is that place. A genuine 'feel-good' place. Tinesha in particular was/is an expert in service. Not pushy or lax--just there when you/we needed her. A smile, attitude and style that made us all feel at home. The Broken Yolk will always be on my annual homage to Palm Springs! read more

Our party ordered the number 6 special and received plate with torn corn tortillas and no pico de gallo on plate. I open up the tortillas and they are torn soggy not edible. I mentioned to her the tortillas weren't edible and she asked to replace the tortillas, but my food was cold. I sent back the plate. Our party sent back a burrito because they served it cold waited 20 minutes for 14.00 burrito, with no meat in it. They put it in the oven and served it to me with soggy burned avocado and melted. gross, took 30 minutes to pay for one most expensive burritos I've ordered and it was literally the grossest burrito. Our party's hash browns were burned and toast was burned. I complained servers bring food out late cold with no garnish. It's a 6.00 plate of food, can't see how mess up simple order. read more

We have been longtime customers of The Broken Yolk and usually visit the Palm Springs location. During a recent visit to the La Quinta location, we were pleasantly surprised to see a familiar face--Cargo, our server! Although he hasn't been at this location for very long, he has already made a tremendous impact. It's great knowing we'll be taken care of by someone we know and trust, and we're especially happy that he made the move to a location closer to our home. The food was excellent, the service was spectacular, and the ambiance was very pleasant. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. 5 Stars - Outstanding Brunch and Servicel I had the best brunch experience! From the moment we walked in, our server Trey was incredible - super friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. He really went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and that our experience was perfect. The food? Absolutely amazing. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. From the fluffy pancakes to the perfectly cooked eggs and crispy bacon, every bite was delicious. The drinks were just as good -- refreshing and well-made. I had an amazing experience from top to bottom. I went with four friends to get a late lunch and were greeted immediately by a hostess with a warm and welcoming attitude. Within moments of being seated a friendly server came and took our drink orders. It seemed like seconds later a different person delivered our drinks. The server took our food order and the food was delivered fresh, hot and tasty within minutes. This alone would have been a five star experience but the the Manager came to our table and she made sure that we were taken care and gave that finishing touch that most restaurants lack these days. I've visited several Broken Yolk locations in the past, but unfortunately, this particular location was a major disappointment. The restrooms were in unacceptable condition -- there was urine on the floor and they were clearly not being maintained. As for the food, it was just as disappointing. I ordered the chilaquiles, which were completely drenched in sauce, making them soggy and unappetizing. Even something as simple as my daughter's Nutella crêpes were poorly prepared. I actually took a photo because I was shocked by the lack of care in the presentation and quality. She had taken a couple bites, but no sugar or filling. I went to The Broken Yolk Cafe for breakfast and had Lena as my server, and she honestly made the whole experience so much better. She was super friendly right away and had such a positive, easygoing vibe. You can tell she actually enjoys what she does. She checked in at the right times without being annoying, kept our drinks filled, and made sure everything came out right. The food was really good, but Lena's service is what stood out. She made us feel comfortable and taken care of, which made the whole breakfast feel more enjoyable and relaxed. Definitely ask for Lena if you go. I become a morning person just for this place-- I'm so happy they opened up the Henderson location! The food is great, and I especially love the lemon ricotta pancakes and the sampler which comes with a cinnacake, the crunchy french toast and the tiki toast. You get a lot of food and the prices aren't crazy expensive either! Out of all the times we have gone the service has been great and I love their rewards program where you can earn points and get money off your next visit (or online orders). The wait has also never been terrible and it is easy to check yourself in. We've gone about four times (five if you count an online order pickup), and will keep coming back. read more

However, the experience was marred by service issues. Despite the large dining space, it was evident that they were understaffed on our visit. They continued to seat guests, but the crew struggled to keep up. We were seated promptly, which was a plus, but then the waiting began. The time it took to place our order, receive our drinks, and finally get our food was excessively long. What really made our experience exceptional was our waitress, Lily. She was friendly, attentive, professional, and genuinely made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. I rarely write a review. And when I do it's because the service was phenomenal or just horrible. Broken Yolk was PHENOMENAL!! For how busy it is you don't wait for very long. The food is full of flavor!! The menu had a wide range of variety. Breakfast favorites to specialty items. The drink selection was very extensive. From Oj to matcha teas and more. You can't go wrong with the eggs Benedict or the sweet trio! And the atmosphere is very relax, chill and good vibes. For being in basically a desert setting you feel like you are on the coast.
