We have used David and his crew to load four 16 ft Pack-Rat containers, the fourth one being today. They showed up on time each time. Communication was great. Perhaps the best feedback is that the team unloading in Arizona keeps commenting on how these are the best-packed containers they have seen. Also, we have had much less break in this packing than when we used either the PODS packers on hire-a-helper moving out of my wife's NYC place or when I used United Van Lines to move from my previous house. They even moved an entire ~1500sq ft YouTube studio into a container in around 4 hours including breaking down trussing. Pricing is not the cheapest, but everything making it safely in a 16 ft container is worth spending $100-200 extra. read more

Five starts. David came and loaded two moving trucks for us (1x16 ft truck and 1x 20 ft truck). They loaded my truck like professional Tetris players. My entire family was very impressed with how efficiently, quickly, and carefully they packed our trucks - with zero damage to any of our belongings! Is it possible to give negative stars? I booked this company through HireAHelper.com a couple of weeks in advance. I needed 2 movers to help load larger furniture items into a moving pod (not packing up the entire house). David has been blowing up my phone telling me I need to add a 3rd mover. When I called him to do so he suddenly tells me (2 days before my loading date) that they will not be able to do my move because they only service " the immediate Austin area." I am located in Manor, TX literally 12 miles from downtown Austin. I am closer to the center city than many parts of the actual city limits of Austin. The address was also provided at the time of booking and i was not notified that this was outside their service area. I am simply trying to do what he recommended to make this move go as smoothly as possible and this is how they treat their paying customers. Beware! read more

2nd time using David in the past 2 years. The first time was back in 2/2022 right after a snow storm. I needed help moving my 2br apartment into an extra space storage. Booking movers should not be this difficult. I filled out the online form to get a quote. Never actually received any email quote, but instead got text communication from David. He offered $300/two hours + $100 for each additional hour if I booked by the next afternoon. I booked on 5/16, but I still needed a quote/confirmation. I was told I'd get one by the next day. It never came. I gave it the weekend, and texted again on 5/22 asking for it. Still, nothing. I began reading through reviews and found some people were saying Go2 doesn't do 3rd floor moves. Once again, I text David letting him know what I read and ask if this will be an issue for my move. He asks which review I'm talking about, and tells me there's a $30 fee for additional stairs, making my minimum $350. That's weird.... $300+$30 doesn't = $350. What is going on here?! I asked for the quote twice, and now prices don't make sense. Had I gotten a quote, I'd see the breakdown of all prices, fees, etc. I felt I had to cancel, as I could no longer trust the company. These guys helped me with my move from Austin to NYC. They were flexible and gave me a great price - even though I was on a short time frame. I really appreciated that I could call them over the weekend, and they were willing/able to check out what I needed moved, make recommendations about truck sizing, and scope out an estimate very quickly. Art and David, the two guys I worked with most, were available when I needed them and very responsive over email. When the moving team showed up, all of the guys were helpful, professional and respectful (and even humored me by taking some pictures of me with my stuff). I was surprised that they don't have any Yelp reviews, since the reason I initially trusted this smaller moving company is that they have many positive comments on MovingHelp.com. Reasons I gave them 4 starts instead of 5 - I think they could have wrapped some of my furniture a little better in the truck to make it easier for the movers on the other end to handle it. They also seem to be just starting up, so some of their forms aren't as standardized as those from more established moving companies (as to be expected). Finally, I had asked them for the gas receipts after my move to see the pricing, and they failed to respond to my email about it. That said, all of my stuff made it to NYC safe and sound (and so did my car, which they towed behind the truck). Booked a last minute move on hireahelper due to my movers no showing. Read the reviews and their stipulations about not doing 3rd floors and no trailers over 26 ft. I'm in a 3 story townhome but everything was already staged in the garage or 2nd floor. Have a 24ft race car enclosed trailer dropped, so that met their requirements. Quick load and go. David called me and told me they don't do 3rd floors or trailers over 26ft. I was like great, cause my trailer is 24ft and everything was on the second floor or garage. I already loaded a lot of the heavy stuff by myself. David refused to listen and kept going on about the 3rd floor and 26ft trailer. I kept telling him they will not need to go to the 3rd floor and the trailer isn't 26ft. He finally refused and said get someone else as they weren't interested. They were only doing quick load and go jobs. I now have to spend an hour finding someone else and getting my money back. Totally unprofessional. I would not recommend these guys. read more

Hired them through Hireahelper. I needed someone to just move a few pieces of furniture for me and my husband, who are both older and have back and leg issues. We were moving in the same complex, and at most were 800 yards away. I got a call a few hours before moving clarifying the move and the guy on the other end of the phone asked if I had secured a truck. I told him I thought they provided a truck, and that they weren't going to need one as I only needed them to move a few things a few hundred yards away. He then proceeded to laugh and mock me about thinking they provided a truck. If either my husband or I had access to a truck, or could have gotten friends or family to help,we wouldn't have needed movers. Told him to cancel. Husband and I moved stuff over ourselves. Did we get everything moved over in 1 day like we wanted? Hell no! We still have lots more to do tomorrow. If you need help moving stuff short distances, just do it yourself and save yourself over $200 for what would have been an hour of work. read more

I had a great experience with David and his Go2Movers. I Had intially been referred to them by a colleague but also checked their reviews and they definitely lived up to my expectations. I had them load up my 1 bedroom apartment in an already half loaded truck I had rented. They then unloaded all the furniture in to my new apartment. Packing/Loading Truck: Extremely efficient, they brought plastic wrap and covered some wood furniture to prevent scratches. Loaded boxes well and had it done in quick time. Unloading: Very well managed, we had a tough time with the apartment building as 1/2 elevators stopped working but they hustled through it with good spirit. Punctuality: Showed up right on time and completed the job as quickly as they could with the elevator constraints. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. read more

I had very bad experiences in my house moving using go2movers. I ordered the moving services through U-Haul, and wanted to move my stuff and a Piano to our new house 5 miles away. Our stuff were already packed and moved to the living room downstairs. Two guys from go2movers came on 05/05/2013 (Saturday) afternoon. They looked tired, and spent most of their time on moving the small items, organizing inside the truck and rest. They mentioned they had continuous working over 12 hours for several days. To avoid extra time charge, I had to move the big items myself. They spent almost SEVEN HOURS to load and unload my stuff. They were very unprofessional on the piano moving, and the only tools they had is a small cart. When they moved the piano, they also asked my help. Unfortunately, the piano hit the truck's loading ramp while they were unloading the piano. It caused damages at the left lower corner of the piano. The wood and paint of about 1.5" * 0.5" area was peel off. My piano is brand new KaWai K3, bought it one month ago (with receipt) from Steinway Piano Gallery at $6000. The following negotiation process proved that go2movers is not a responsible company. Nobody from go2movers contacted me after the accident happened. I called the owner David and Art 2 days later. They wanted to send their own guy to repair. However, based on the movers' performance, I really hesitated to let them do the professional job. So I insisted to having professional repair from Steinway Piano Gallery. After knowing my opinion, go2movers disappeared, they even did not send the people to check the piano. I did my work to let Steinway Piano Gallery provide quote, and forward it to go2movers. They said they would negotiate with Gallery, but after about 3 months, except I called them, I did not get any respond. Now they did not even dare to reply my email or answer my phone. go2movers claimed in their website "Go2Movers is glad to announce we are insured". But they told me that the piano is not under the coverage after the accident. They were lying to the customers. I am writing the long story to tell you guys to avoid this lying and irresponsible company. I will share my story with as many as people, and fight with them through small court to the end. read more

We moved to Austin from Maryland last summer and booked another company (whose name I've honestly forgotten) via uhaul's website to help us unload the truck. When we got here and called them to let them know of our arrival, they'd lost our paperwork and had no crews to help us. The thought of trying to unload a 24' truck by myself in the frying pan temperatures of a Texas summer was a bit daunting, so I did a search for local moving companies that had good reviews and found go2movers. They really saved our bacon by showing up on short notice (I seem to recall within about 45 minutes of me calling) and doing a fantastic job of sorting out everything for us and at a very reasonable price. This is the worst most unprofessional movers ever. I was told that all my content for the pod wouldn't fit only to find out they scammed us. First of all the so called movers were very old pushing 50 years old. I had to take everything out of my pod with friends after paying 500.00 plus tip. Me my wife and friends managed to acutely get everything they told us couldn't fit into the pod. There was nothing professional about anything they did besides changing me money. All of the big items were left up stairs for me my wife and friends. To make matters worse I was yelled at by the so called master mover using profanity telling me I'm dumb. The fact remains that we were able to do what they couldn't and was charged 500.00 for them to waste our time we had before we moved. This is a company that I would never use again the lack of professionalism and profanity for a job you were hired to do is outrageous. Go 2 Movers helped us to load a 16' POD as part of our move from San Antonio to Henderson, NV. David, Marcus and their helper, Santo, were on time, friendly, efficient and had some of the best "can-do" skills we have ever seen. I cannot say enough good things about this company. Prior to the move, I received confirmation e-mails and phone calls, checking in and making sure they were on track to meet my needs. They arrived on time (perhaps slightly early). From the moment they arrived until the moment they left, they were exceptionally polite and they really MOVED. We moved from a 3rd floor apartment into a duplex, but we also had a packed garage and industrial shelving that needed to be unloaded and disassembled to move. I had grossly underestimated the amount of time we would need the help, but they stayed until the job was done, even though it meant twice the time that I had estimated and even though it meant filling our rental truck twice. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I hired them to move my belongings from the 3rd floor into a POD. Anyone packing a POD understands that you fit the furniture first and boxes last. The movers they sent left everything that could not be moved with a dolly in my apartment. My couch, 3 chairs, dining room table and multiple bookshelves were not moved from my home. After they charged me for 4 hours of moving, only boxes, 2 dressers and mattresses/bed frames were in my 16x8 POD. I spent the entire night moving my furniture downstairs myself and unpacking/repacking the POD. I am no professional, but somehow I managed to fit the items into the POD myself. When I called to complain, I was told I do not deserve a 50% refund and I was cussed out and hung up on by the person I spoke with. I am so upset that I went with this company due to the high reviews on Yelp, and I just want to make sure that no one else is taken advantage of by this company. read more
