The servings are generous, especially for the very reasonable prices! Brookfields should be the go to Restaurant for everyone, the decor is really cool too! We visit this location (no matter what the name reads across the restaurant) every fourth of July for breakfast. It became our tradition the year after my Grandma passed away on that day. We celebrate just her and to go Mass, the cemetery Every year we call a head to let them know how many in our group AND they always accommodate us easily and kindly. The staff, even though they are generally different each year, are always kind, helpful, and patient with our group of anywhere from 25 to 15, just depends on the year. My family enjoys the Pick 4 option what is very reasonably priced, which also comes with a Senior rate that some of them can order from too. We love bacon and they cook it well here. Most of us order off the breakfast menu, but my rogue cousin usually gets lunch for fun. Everything is always filling and we never have any issues. I wouldn't sit here and say it's good, but it isn't bad. I'd say its above average for what it is, plain 'ol American food! Each year we come back, so nothing has deterred us yet. From staff to food, it's always a consistent place we can count on, especially for an occasion that might often more so be sad. I remember when Lee M. first bought this business. Lee was a great guy and I don't think he'd approve of what I experienced last week. A friend and myself went in for lunch. We were seated promptly. I ordered a cheeseburger (rare) which took quite a while to arrive. The burger was so cold that the cheese was not even a little bit melted. The server was terrible. I had a hard time getting her attention to get an extra napkin. She was generally fairly inattentive...and the place was NOT busy. I've been to this one and I've been to the one in Rancho Cordova. I've always had breakfast here and dinner at the one in Rancho. I don't know why it worked out that way. I like this one more, with parking right there, conveniently located next to the freeway and major arteries in Roseville ... not clogged ones, but roads ... you know what I mean. The service has been friendly, the prices are in the ball park, and the breakfast platters are large and satisfying. Their pancakes have been reliably tasty and, for me, pancakes are almost central to any breakfast adventure. This restaurant has a good atmosphere and it's a great place to sit there with a friend, keep drinking coffee, b.s., and procrastinate what you should be doing. Everyone should love this place! I have come here to eat quite a few times, and they have a wide variety of really delicious foods for a very reasonable price. No matter what kind of taste you have, you should leave here happy. I'm generally a health-conscious eater. Their food never comes out too greasy! I have no shame when it comes to sending back bad food at restaraunts. One time, the chicken was too dry. But I sent it back and they were very gracious and fixed it! BEST ITEMS at Brookfields in my opinion are: 1. The incredible artichoke sandwich: comes with sauteed mushrooms, artichokes, spinach feta cheese, bell peppers. YUMM! Get it with sweet potato fries. I swear, you will love it! 2. Fish tacos! (Way better than rubios, baja fresh and dos coyotes). Trust me. lol. I ask to get them made with corn tortillas instead of flour. Made with spinach, sour cream, and pico. Sooo good. 3. Fish and Chips (they definitely satisfy a salty craving). 4. Sweet potato pancakes (Theyre the only place i know of that makes them). I moved from Sacramento 12 years ago, but every opportunity I have while back in Sac, I stop for breakfast at Brookfields (any location, not just this one). My grandparents used to bring me here when I was a kid too. I can't believe anyone would compare it to Denny's or Carrow's - even though it's technically in the same coffee shop category, it's definitely on the high end of that scale. The decor, the food, the cleanliness, and the service are all excellent and way better than anything I've ever experienced at a typical greasy spoon chain coffee shop. I've never had a bad meal or bad service at any location. I just stopped by yesterday after spending Saturday at the State Fair. My favorite is the breakfast burrito- "Classic Huevos Con Burrito" I think it's called- but that sounds even more ultra-gringo than I already am, so I just ask for the breakfast burrito. I love that they bring me my extra salsa in a small gravy boat! My boyfriend got the San Jose scramble, which I have never seen on the menu before- a delicious mix of carnitas, potatoes, peppers, cheese, and eggs. Bill's Cafe, here in San Jose, has a similar delicious carnitas breakfast dish- I wonder if that's where they got the idea? Our server was great; he didn't even laugh at as too much when we ordered a giant brownie sundae to top off our breakfast. Yum! 8/19/2012 I'm not usually a fan of chain restaurants like this. Especially knowing it's a favorite destination of my 84 year old Grandparents. Our taste is dining is vastly different for the most part. The menu is so big, it took me F O R E V E R to decide what to order. Once I had decided on having Breakfast for Dinner, I settled with something quite simple. I had their French Toast Combination of Parisian French toast, eggs, bacon and sausage. It was good. I have no complaints. In fact, I can't complain about anything here because not only was the food better than just "good", but they were SO FRIENDLY, it actually blew my mind! I was there with a party of 9 to celebrate another relative's birthday. Of course, my Grandparents were there too. It just made me feel good to see how great they treat the older folks. There are times that my sweet Grandma isn't the easiest to please but they treated her as if she were family. Now I know why they go there so often! Two thumbs up for excellent customer service! Even though it isn't my kind of place to frequently dine, I'll be obliged to join my Grandparents the next time I get an invite, instead of just saying "No", because they're going to Brookfields. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I went with my grandfather for Father's Day and they were better than I could of imagined! I called they day before regarding reservations and the hostess was so sweet and genuinely friendly. I was concerned that my Grandfather who can't stand for long would have wait for a table but she assured me he would be taken care of, and comfortable. Top notch hostessing! When we arrived no wait friendly greet! As we sat my grandfather kindly thanked the seater and she was so touched she gave him a lotto ticket! My grandfather was so amazed he couldn't stop talking about it all day. He loves playing the lotto. We got Trisha who is one of my favorite servers she is always sweet and kind. Her service is on point every time. My grandfather was so moved by everyone as a whole that experience alone was better than any gift I could give him. I had Chicken fried steak w.peach scone. Hubby had waffle, eggs, bacon, sausage and added potatoes. Apple juice, orange juice and coffee ordered. Grand total = $40. Too expensive for our taste especially for breakfast. Busy restaurant. Good service. Quality of food was lacking. Wishing they didn't put cinnamon in the waffles. Chicken fried steak was huge, or so I thought. Had to peal away the extra breading to get meat. Also, the breading just fell off. Not a great chicken fried steak. Good gravy tho! Potatoes were soooo plain! Crispy but had no seasoning, onions or bell peppers! Coffee was good & strong! Apple juice was tasty! The good: Seated fast, drinks came out quickly... server was "friendly": The bad: 2 of us ordered bennies, returned both of them (cold and one was wrong). Replates come out quickly, and this time hot. My CA benny was missing tomatoes, covered in "sauce", assembly was awful, eggs overcooked. My friend's eggs were overcooked and also covered in sauce, but slightly better. Ladies had an omelette and granola and yogurt (no issues thankfully). I had really great Huevos Rancheros. Decent veggie options, I have only gone for breakfast so I am willing to go back for lunch and dinner and get the full experience. Service was good but not over the top. The bloody marys that my friends and I got were very very tasty and unique. I don't know what is different about them but it was very good. Was here recently with a large group after a family event. This is not a place that I would normally go to eat, I did not pick it; but I was pleasantly surprised. I had the enchiladas with tomatillo sauce, they were quite good, but could have used more tomatillo sauce. They were "glazed" with sauce. The beans were ok, but I really liked the rice. It was very spicy, I think with chiles. There was friendly, attentive service & our drinks were always kept full. Quite a large menu, I think that there's something for everyone here. read more

I had the BLT...mowed it down. 4 stars. My wife had some egg white omelette with vegan something or other. Left half on the plate. 2 stars Sara had the Mac and Cheese (duh) and destroyed it. Again, Roseville disappoints. We came here per a hotel suggestion and lets just say its like an over rated Denny's- in fact Denny's would have been better. We ordered our coffee first and before we even had a chance to enjoy it, a waitress clumsily approached our table yelling "coffee refills?" It frightened all of us. I ordered a garden-burger with a side salad and i think my 7 year old niece could come up with something better. A very family oriented, Marie Calendars type restaurant. A lot of traditional american fare like meatloaf, chicken fried, steak, omlettes, etc. I had a broiled sirloin which was well cooked but a bit underseasoned. Charming, friendly service. It's comfort food in a very tranquil setting. A little quiet for me but if you're a suburban family with 1.5 kids this might be the place for you. read more

Really not all that great. First off it's super noisy in here. The decor gives it the ambiance of a Cracker Barrel which may or may not be your thing but when there's a lot of people in here it gets pretty defeaning in my opinion. We got a couple breakfast items which were acceptable but nothing to write home about. We opted to get some of the dessert items too since they looked so good in the display case but boy were they disappointing. They just had no flavor to them and were really uninspiring. I can't see myself coming back here again, there's just too many places in the area that serve the same food but better and for less money. read more
