The service was outstanding! We were looking for a wheelchair accessible place and the staff was really nice and helped us by opening the side door for the wheelchair access. The place was pretty full, and we were a party of 7, yet they managed to seat us really quickly! Also, the bathroom is wheelchair accessible, which was great, since sometimes restaurants are and the restrooms aren't. Seeing the reviews here I thought it wouldn't be great, but it was! The burgers were really well made. The buns were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, spongy. We ordered a pulled pork sandwich and several Brooklyn Bridge burgers, and the meat was perfectly cooked for both! The soup of the day was chicken and vegetable soup, which was fresh and flavorful. To drink we had a milkshake, which was a hit with the kids! Hot chocolate and the lemonades. All good. The ambiance was nice and calm. The place was clean and all the staff friendly. It'll just say that there's a reason why local people don't eat here and it's all tourists who walk over the Brooklyn Bridge. They couldn't even make a good shake or hot food and I've tried a few times. Expensive, not great or fresh food, and there are so many other great places to eat. Half the people are just there because they need to use the restroom. Seriously there are so many good places to eat if you walk a little further, either towards Dumbo or Montague Street. read more

Had to make a quick pitstop here before the walk on the bridge, for restroom and opted for sparkling lemonade with iced tea. The people were very gracious and allow me to use the restroom with a minimum purchase. Although the tea cost eight dollars, which is pretty steep. I suddenly think the cafe and searched on the internet. The location matched with my old photo but the name of it didn't matched with the name in my photo. So I watched the Website of Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, managing local business. As a result, I found that Brooklyn Bridge Bistro is the same cafe, Brooklyn Bridge Bistro. The Brooklyn Bridge Bistro has been open the same place for a long time. Maybe, local people in Brooklyn rarely visit the cafe, but tourists of Brooklyn Bridge usually visit it. So so many reviews evaluate high quality and services, especially the prices. According to my research, it is very famous for tourists who visited Brooklyn Bridge, but local people hardly ever visit it. read more

What a nice place! We were hoping to make it in for breakfast, but we just missed the cut off time and had lunch instead. I ordered the mac n cheese and buffalo wings. Both were really good. The mac n cheese was really saucy, which was nice, but could have used some more seasoning. The dressing that came with the wings was a little vinegary, but the wings themselves were good. I was able to try the margarita pizza, artichoke dip, and grits. The grits were rich and creamy and although the crust on the pizza was a little doughy, it had good flavor. Adding an automatic 18% tip to your bill without any warning on either the menu or the bill should not be allowed. We were 3 people, who ordered one drink each at what in most places would be happy hour. The bill arrived much higher than we expected and there was nothing specific on it to indicate that there was a tip included in the total already. We didn't receive an actual bill itemizing what we had ordered so we couldn't even see the 18% addition and had to ask before being told orally about it. Restaurants always carry a warning that for parties of 6 or more, an 18% gratuity would automatically be added. Not only was there no warning, this place added the 18% for just three measly drinks! Outrageous. They should be reported. read more

Bad customer service. Came in to use the restroom, but decided to buy a Diet Coke while I was at it (you needed to be a paying customer to use the restroom as well). The Diet Coke cost about $5 ($4 and change with tax). We sat down for a second and checked the menu. We asked for a refill and the lady (short black/brown hair) stated we needed a new order in order to give us a refill (aka pay another $5 for a Diet Coke soda refill). Ridiculous. I went to this place on a whim, after walking the Brooklyn Bridge. It's very close and convenient, hence why I went here. We were able to get a table right away. The inside of the restaurant was very quaint and it was a very nice and calm vibe. We decided to go with just appetizers, which included honey bbq wings, Mac and three cheese and Parmesan truffle fries. The food overall was really good, especially the Parmesan fries. I'd watch out if you decide to get soda here- we got two cokes and it turned out to be 8 dollars, which we thought was a bit absurd, even for NY. We didn't get the greatest service. Our server didn't check on us a lot and we were constantly out of water with our waiter nowhere in sight. It was also unclear who our server was, as different people got us drinks/took food orders/ etc. Last but not least, we had seen on the menu that if you have a party of 6, you automatically have 20% tip added to your bill. This totally makes sense, as most restaurants do this. However, as a party of 2, we were surprised with having gratuity added to our bill. They added an 18% tip to our bill right off the bat which we were not so pleased about since we didn't have great service to begin with. When signing for the bill, they also have another line for gratuity, so I'd make sure to look out for that! Bottom line: food was good, service was not. read more

This place was seriously awful. I don't even know where to begin. First, it takes 10min to get seated, and they seat us at the high tables only to forget about us, again. Another 20min passes by.... I asked to be reseated in an actual booth, hoping that will put us on someone's radar. Then, we get a server who is literally confused about life. Everything we said was followed by "what?"; or he'd look at us like we were speaking words he'd never ever heard of before, like, "coffee" or "fries". Service was weird! Everyone in here was asleep! The host, the servers, bartender! Sheesh! I walked in and told him- the host for one, I wanted to place a to go order... I asked if I could sit at the bar? His response are you drinking or just placing a to go order, i said only a to go order after all it was barely noon. He proceeded to ask a server if I could sit to the left of the hostess stand she literally just stood there and looked at him, I said she's asleep.... he then asks if i would be interested in sitting to the right of the hostess stand, I said it doesn't matter as I'm placing a to go order, he finally directs me to sit at the bar... wtf dude! I'm sitting at the bar and a girl is standing outside of the bar area just across from me starring straight past my soul.... finally after abt 3 mins she pops up behind the bar to ask how can she help me... I immediately place my order and just wonder "Am I am extra in the sequel to the movie Get Out" the energy and the entire staff were so weird man!
