Love their pizza and their salad. Whenever I go I get a plain cheese pizza to share and the regular salad, it's definitely big enough to share among 2/3 people. While I agree with some other reviews that no you cannot pick up the slices without droop, I don't care! It tastes delicious! The crust is thin...sauce is great and not overly cheesy/greasy. Brooklyn pizza is by far my favorite in NJ, ESPECIALLY if you are a pepperoni fan! The crust is delicious, sauce is good and not an overpowering taste, pepperoni is thick and flavorful. So so good! This was such a disgusting experience, that I actually have PTSD. The three miserable employees working there were moving at a snails pace and couldn't locate 3 extra chairs . I asked if the children could at least sit down and 'N' confronted me with a nasty attitude and said They had to finish setting up. I told her I didn't mind standing but I wanted the kids to Sit down and be comfortable as they Been subjected to very long wait time in that uncomfortable hallway . I was appalled with how unpleasant and unwelcoming she was. We sat down with two bottles of wine and waited close to 15 minutes for somebody to bring us glasses. We finally asked one of the women bumbling around aimlessly for some glasses and We saw N motioning for her not to assist us . ungracious-discourteous , and disgusting display of customer service . If the children were not starving, we would have left. Once the ball finally got rolling, The tip of the pizza came out wet and soggy like a dogs floppy tongue. We got a small pepperoni and mushroom pizza, a Caprese salad, and fried calamari - the latter two items are pictured on their menu. You would think since those are showcased with pictures on the menu that these dishes would be spectacular. Considering I used to live in Brooklyn for many years and have had lots of great Brooklyn pies, I was rather skeptical about a restaurant in North Jersey claiming legit Brooklyn pies. I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't the best pizza I've had, but this establishment is a solid pizza place. We got to share: - fried ravioli with cheese and jalapeno with marinara sauce - the marinara sauce was refreshing in contrast to the crispness of the ravioli and the spice of the jalapeno - loved it - medium pizza with onions and garlic - great crust, crispy all the way through - even though it was a thin crust and the toppings were moist, the curst stayed crisp. They have pretty much two types of pizzas. The tomato and cheese or the white pizza with $2 a topping. With three people, we split a large tomato and cheese pizza with diced ham. The actual flavor was decent and the crust wasn't bad. However, the center of the pizza was soggy. I love a thin pizza that has a nice crunch. This pizza was missing that. If there was such thing as a "slice test" - consisting of holding up a slice of pizza without it drooping, this pizza failed. I literally had to eat this with a knife and fork. Yeah, there is no better pizza in northern NJ, period. As good as Grimaldi's in Brooklyn (DUMBO). Fresh ingredients and decent prices. Their 'garlic bread' is an extremely interesting take on garlic bread. Instead of a half loaf of bread or a few slices of bread covered in garlic from a jar you get a round pizza pie with no sauce but instead Parmesan cheese, olive oil and freshly cooked garlic. The pie crust is cooked as if it were a regular margherita pie. The fried raviolis are great too and their tomato/marinara sauce on the pie and used as a dip for the ravs is AWESOME! Tried out Brooklyn Pizza on a recommendation from a few people. Let me start out by saying it is not even close to Grimaldi's in Brooklyn... which is what I had in my mind when walking in for some reason.... The crust of the their pizza pie is really good and the nice brick oven flavor is what won me over. My criticism lies in the sauce which had very little flavor. I do not even like a lot of sauce, but on a pizza pie it should have some kick.... maybe even a touch more basil over the pizza would give it what it needed. We also had the Stuffed Eggplant appetizer, which i would pass on for next time.. it was drenched in the flavorless sauce. Ok. Here is the deal. They have really great pizza at all 3 locations. However, Ridgewood is bringing them down from 4 stars to 3 because it is so inconsistent. My family and I get Brooklyn pizza every week and most times have to go to Ridgewood location. Sometimes the pizza is excellent and other times, like tonight, it is over sauced, under cooked, and soggy. It is a fine line between coal cooked perfection and a wet, sloppy pie. Delicious sit-down pizza. I would prefer eating this pizza in the restaurant rather than the comforts of my own home because once loaded, the pizza is the type that you want to attack with a fork and knife rather than a hotdog fold. Because the reviews on Yelp were a big mix... I decided to bite the bullet and give it a whirl. And I'm so glad that I did! My husband and I ordered the "small" garlic bread and what came out was about the size of a normal pizza. WOW. It tasted great and we even took the leftover home with us. Then we decided to try a stromboli since we haven't had that in a long time. We got the small again and it came out to a pretty decent size. About 4 pieces to it and if we both weren't starving that night we could've split that with another adult. It was the eggplant parm one and was delicious. Though, to be honest, it wasn't what I'm used to a stromboli being. It seemed to be more of a calzone (which they also make) and I think if they rolled it one more time it would've been amazing!
