Everything is very much my style as a woman in my mid-40s but I do think since the store carries both name brands and their own label the items have universal cuteness. The employees there are all so helpful with finding sizes and making styling suggestions. There's always a great sale selection at the back of the store. Went into Saks Jandel today after receiving several emails about a huge sale they were having. Actually, wanted to check out a few cocktail dresses for some upcoming galas but figured I would also browse their sample sale bridal gowns (just for ideas). That place looked like a zoo! I'm starting to wonder if it was actually a going out of business sale which would explain why the sales associates seemed to care less about helping customers or if there was another underlying reason why no one assisted me or even acknowledged my presence. When I walked in there were sales racks everywhere, I felt like I had walked in a Marshall's or Ross. Spotted a few associates, no one spoke or even attempted to make eye contact with me. I continued to walk around for several minutes, still nothing. Eventually, picked up a cute purple cocktail dress and still no one approached me or acted like they were interested in making a sale. Oh well. Would've at least like to try the dress on but I don't patronize places where I am clearly not welcome. Continued to walk around still nothing, so I left vowing to never go back. I shop at upscale department stores, namely Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus, all the time and have never experienced anything like this. Definitely will not be returning to Saks Jandel ever again. I need to report an extremely disturbing experience at a Nordstrom Rack store during a recent visit…read morewith my husband. We were shopping for outfits for our son's graduation, which should have been a positive and memorable occasion. Instead, I was subjected to unprofessional, confrontational, and ultimately abusive behavior by a fitting room associate. Upon approaching the fitting room, I followed the associate's directions regarding where to place my cart, although her instructions were inconsistent and unclear. Inside the dressing room, I found a shirt that had been left behind by a previous customer. After trying on approximately seven items, I returned them to hangers and exited the fitting room. At that point, the associate demanded that I remove and hang the shirt that I had not brought into the dressing room. I explained that it was not mine. She became visibly frustrated, entered the room herself, and then shifted her focus to insisting that I return all of my items to the exact locations on the sales floor where I had found them. I placed the clothing neatly on the rack provided near the fitting room, which is standard practice in most retail stores. I declined to return the items to the sales floor, as that is typically handled by store staff to ensure proper organization. The situation escalated significantly when the associate followed me out of the fitting area and toward the front of the store, continuing to confront me. She then called me a "horrible human being" and used an additional demeaning term toward me. Racially motivated ! Being followed and verbally insulted while exiting the store was both shocking and unacceptable. I think she forgot what her job actually was and that was too curate the clothing, and to rehang them up she had the nerve to continue following me and would have exited the store to follow me. Had someone else stopped her I am a 50-year-old customer who has shopped in retail stores my entire life, and I have never experienced anything remotely like this. This interaction was not only unprofessional but crossed the line into harassment. this incident be investigated thoroughly. No customer should be treated in this manner under any circumstances. I would also appreciate a response outlining what steps will be taken to address this situation and ensure it does not happen to others. Huge thumbs down to this store and this horrible little twit

Whew weeee!! This…read morelocation was something to talk about. I have been dying to get in this place for years but always on a tight schedule to get elsewhere. This was a Lion and Tigers and Bears OH MY situation! It's quite crowded in here. Not cluttered but crowded. They have soooo much stuff and it's all in order. This place could be 2-3 floors easy!! I saw all of my fav brands at great prices. They have a huge selection of high-end wear for a great price. They have a huge selection of summer, spring and winter wear. The cosmetics and body care... chef's kiss!! They have everything in every color/ scent/ size!! Cool accessories, luggage galore, etc. I did not take a gander at the shoes as I had a show nearby to attend. I bought 2 gorge blouses and a short sleeve loose fitting denim blue top. I will revisit very soon for some more shopping greatness.

Back then the store was located in the basement floor of Maza Gallery but several years ago moved to The Shops at Wisconsin Place. Tabandeh is an artist herself, and you can see her artistic vision in every aspect of the store. It is a treat just to visit. She has curated a collection of artists whose designs are unique, and beautiful and many aren't often seen in other stores. I love everything about this store, and that includes the people. They excel at understanding you and your preferences and if they think the time is right, they might steer you to something that is even better for your color, and personality, and shape. Sherire and Mary are the two we know and love best, along with Tabandeh; delightful, fun, and funny and we consider them our friends. Do yourself a favor and check it out! Julie V.

Shoes and sandals easily $350+, earrings in the $400 range ... I also spotted a tank/tee for $300. Meh... Used to come here a few times in the 90s when I lived in DC proper and bought a few pieces but don't remember the prices being so ultra-high. Really cool, universal pieces here, clothing, jewelry, scarves, and footwear. A huge downside for me was one of the sales reps or possibly the owner, and her hard sell approach. It was way too much ... an overly exaggerated, aggressive and insincere sales pitch. Everything and everyone looked good in Everything. NOT! Also, my friend and I tried on the same shoes, original cost, $365 and she told me she would give them to me for$265 and 5 minutes later told my friend $295. To sum it up ... boorish and a lowbrow moment. Not a fan and pretty sure I will not return.

This is a great little shop in Lee Heights that offers high quality (though not outrageously…read morepriced) Women's fashion and accessories as well as adorable high end baby and toddler clothing. They also offer a great selection of unique gifts and other special items that you can't find at the countless big box stores that have taken over almost everywhere else here now. It's like visiting...Etsy...in person. If such a store existed of course. Obviously only a very very small, and very highly curated BIT of Etsy, but still...it's etsy-esque. In a good way. Well worth a visit. Especially for those "extra hard to shop for" and "already have everything" types.
