The tofu is smoky and delicious, treated with more love and attention than most places give their veg alternatives. I am the biggest carnivore ever. I drove by Brothers BBQ without knowing anything about it, and was very pleased with my stop, and the next stop, and the next stop, and all the subsequent stops. I usually get only the meats; who wants bread and sides as fillers? No, I want to pack in as much meat as I can! I really like their beef ribs. Although beef ribs are a little more tough and chewy than pork ribs, I like their flavor more, and the burnt fat areas definitely contribute to the overall eating bliss. My husband really likes their pork ribs, because the meat just falls off the bones. They do have some BBQ sauces to pour on if desired, but I prefer to eat the meats alone to prove that their true flavors can stand alone. I have never been that impressed with their sides and bread. They are nice as a complement, but invest your money in the meats. I don't know how vegetarians can do it. I respect them to not fall into this temptation. I know I'll never win this argument, but I think Brothers is the best BBQ in Denver. The ribs are far and away the best. Tender, but not falling off the bone. Who wants their rib meat falling off the bone? That stuff is expensive! I want it staying on the bone until I bite into it. The Brother sandwich is the perfect lunch. Hot links, pulled pork, coleslaw and jalapeños. I just found out that they have added burnt ends to the menu since the last time I visited. So I got some BBQ from here. Very good meats and beans. The Mac and cheese was ok. Kinda one dimensional. But the dessert of banana cream pie was awesome. I remember having this as a kid and loving it (not from here) and as I got older it seemed the most common recipe for banana cream changed into something I didn't like. Sort of acidic and bitey. Melt in your mouth ribs with a choice of five different sauces to pick from has brought us back more than once. (Catch the Thursday night rib special!). We have eaten in person at the 6th and Washington location and enjoyed every visit. The staff is friendly and will simply take your order or advise you if you hav questions. They ambiance is fun and the place is clean. Good parking options too for an area that you often have to search for parking. The baked beans are not your standard recipe and are downright delicious. I was at home trying to figure out what to take out for dinner and all of a sudden a very kind promotion comes through. Buy one sandwich deal and receive a 2nd one for free. We are new to Denver but have already had 4-5 take out meals and they have all been great! I love their brisket sandwich. So good . And my wife enjoys the chicken sandwich. I lived in Richmond, VA for a few years, so I'm used to BBQ joints. Brothers BBQ is standard as far as what it offers, though the meat and fries are good. Actually, for regular fries, they're really good. I also liked the baked beans I got as a side once, but you can only eat so much of them. To be clear with my 3 star rating, I will be back. There isn't really a lot of BBQ competition that close, and like I said, the meat is good and plentiful. For $10 you can choose 2 meats (quarter pound of each) and two sides, and it's definitely a hefty meal. However, so far I've had the beef ribs, chicken, pork and brisket, and while everything was good, nothing made me go "wow - that's amazing." Even if the meat did get bumped up to a "wow" rating, there are a few things missing that I would need to give 5 stars: 1. Cornbread. How can I be happy eating BBQ without cornbread? 2. Sweet Potato Fries. The fries they offer are really good (skin on, browned but not over done). But sweet potato fries would just take it to the next level. 3. Anything more legitimately vegetably as a side. Basically your choices are baked beans, coleslaw or three different ways of eating potatoes. Clearly you don't go into a BBQ joint for your health, but can't I get at least one green thing on the sides menu (other than ordering a separate salad) to make me feel slightly better about the bad decision I'm making? read more

Such an underrated business! I had never heard of Brother's BBQ until I stopped by after going to a Broncos training camp. And o boy was I satisfied. Great selection of barbecue favorites including ribs, pulled pork, sausage, and more. The sides included mac'n cheese, beans, and mashed potatoes with gravy. I decided to order a pulled pork sandwich, which was brought to my table in under 5 minutes. The waiter also brought a rack full of sauces that were geniusly put together. Such as original, sweet, hot, and tangy vinegar. A mix of all of them tasted just right. A nice staff, never crowded, and a great tasting restaurant will always deserve 5 stars. On a business trip from Detroit I had an opportunity to have lunch at Brothers BBQ. What a treat it was. As a general rule I seek out local BBQ and while I am not an expert food critic, I have eaten my fair share of BBQ coast to coast. I dined on a sampler of Chicken, Ribs, chopped Brisket, and Burnt Ends. The chicken had the perfect balance of smoke and spice. The brisket was tender and succulent. The Ribs had the perfect pull to get them off the bone and every bite left you wanting more. The Burnt Ends had excellent char but were still tender and an easy chew. While the boys at Brothers BBQ have their own signature sauces (which you can buy by the bottle) that were delicious, in this reviewers opinion are not required. The dry rub and smoke easily makes this meal the best tasting BBQ I have had to date! Very disappointed. I used to love Brothers BBQ, but the last time we went they left off half the order and I called to get the other item refunded as we were not making the trip back. We were assured by the waitress that the manager had credited back the other portion of the order we did not receive. Well... it's been a week and have yet to see the credit of the food we NEVER received. Charged $30 for 2 items and only got one, very very disappointed with this location. HOLY CRAP Best BBQ I have ever had. I kinda consider myself a foodie and BBQ is one of my favorite things. I am kinda picky and this place gets a big high 5!! The burnt ends were awesome. Mac and cheese is always different and spotty from one place to the other but this one was cheesy and creamy. The beans were good, not the most amazing I have ever tasted, but very good and worth trying. The pork ribs, OMFG! They actually fell off the bone. They were so tender, flavorful and amazing. Some ribs you have to chew off the bone or coax it off the bone. You just picked these suckers off and they fell off the bone and right into your mouth. Sadly, I was full after the burnt tips so only ate 1 of my awesome ribs. I flew home the next day so couldn't save the leftovers. I am still thinking about the ribs I left behind. :( The only reason they lose 1 star is because I thought they were pricey. It was just under $80 for a family of 4 to eat there. For a place where you order and pay at the counter and then take your seat with a number, it seemed a little expensive. I have gone to sit down restaurants that offer bread and butter and salads with your bbq combo meal for about the same. With that being said, expensive or not, I will definately go back. I hadn't been in this place for a few years; I remember it was the bomb when I went to school, but seemed kind of expensive at the time. I came in here for lunch today & I guess it's not that expensive when you're not living on student loans anymore. I had 1/2 rack of pork ribs. I seemed to have remembered the meat falling off the bone, but not today. They were good, don't get me wrong, just not great. The spice rub is awesome though. I haven't given up on you Brothers yet. Don't know of a better spot near Cap Hill, so I'll be back. Plus, I don't anyone else in town that serves beef ribs. I ordered 4 different meals for a gathering of friends thru GrubHub. Out of the whole order there was only one thing missing...a side of Mac & cheese. When I called Brothers BBQ to let them know, the gentleman I spoke to (I think his name was Matt?) was very apologetic and sent one of the guys from the restaurant (Andre) with a side of Mac & cheese. Only when Andre arrived, it was with an entire quart of it!!! We were all already full from the rest of the food (which was absolutely deliciously finger-lickin' good!!!), that we shouldn't have been able to eat any more. I'm no conisiour of American BBQ, never been to Kansas City, Texas or Nashville TN to dine on theirs but Brothers BBQ does a nice job of filling my once a year 4th of July craving for brisket & pulled pork. If the number of to go orders for Grubhub & Uber Eats waiting to be delivered is any indication of where to get BBQ in Denver, eat here. The staff was putting out orders as fast as I could blink. They must have put out 20 orders in the 20 minutes I waited for mine. And they were nice about it too!!! The nice lady behind the plexiglass was over burdened with call orders but still smiled & said thank you when I placed mine. I ordered the 2 meat special Brisket & Pulled Pork & it was very satisfying. The sides of baked beans & coleslaw were run of the mill but edible. I've eaten much better but I did eat it. I hate to be "that guy" and write a review. But, I feel I have to do this. I have been coming here frequently for a couple years and I'm afraid that this will be the last time. The food is in consistent, it's almost a gamble everytime you go in. Also everytime I ask the ribs to be dry with no sauce on them I get confirmation they are dry and drive back home and what do you know sauce is covering the meat. I spend 25 bucks and the sauce is on the ribs, I would go back like I have done in the past but You guys just throw them in the trash and make me feel guilty that the staff made a mistake. I have been craving great bbq and figured I would be out of luck until restaurants began opening up for dine-in again. However, I found Brothers BBQ was still offering delivery at a decent price so I thought I would try them out. I was pleasantly surprised by how great the sauces and seasonings were! The ribs that I chose were delicious and came with a generous amount of original barbecue sauce. Although it was a bit more than I would like to spend on myself for a meal, it was worth it. So the delicious blue cheese vinaigrette is gone and that's super sad. However, the regular vinaigrette is still delicious and I've discovered the BBQ tofu is equally delicious, too. So I live about a block from Brothers, thus I eat here by default at least twice a month. Usually it's when I run out of groceries, or Tiffany wants a BBQ Salad, or I'm just lazy. I can tell you this, Brothers BBQ definitely fills that need. I think the food here is good. Not great, but good. it's no Jabo's when it comes to pulled pork, but it's definitely servicable and they have about 5 different BBQ sauces to fill your needs. The fries are just ok, but they make up for everything with gigantic portions. The sandwiches are so stuffed with meat that they need a fork and the portion of fries really fills me up. I don't really like the potato salad here, as it's not mustard-y enough for me, but I do like the baked beans alot. I just wish the portion on it was as big as the fries (hint, hint Brothers). Recommendation: A local BBQ Joint serving up classic BBQ one plate at a time. Food: I'm a certified BBQ judge, but I know that local eateries can't put out competition quality BBQ and make money at the same time, so my review of the food here is based on what you would expect from a mainstream BBQ restaurant. I've been going to Brother's BBQ for years and I've seen a lot of changes in that time. They have attained a level of consistency in their food that can be pretty difficult to achieve in the BBQ category. My favorite menu item is the Brother Sandwich - pulled pork topped with hot link slices, slaw, grilled onions, and jalapenos. I like the hot link and ribs too. The beans are my side of choice, but their fries and mac-n-cheese is pretty good too. The slaw is a little bland for my tastes, but it's great on that Brother sandwich. They have a variety of sauces, but I make my own by mixing their sweet and hot together. Price: The lunch specials are all under $10 and include a side and a drink. For around $12, they also have 2 meat specials that include 2 sides and you you can get it with ribs for a bit extra. Service: They have counter service here where you order your meal and they bring it to your table when it's done. Everything comes out pretty fast and it's always hot. Ambiance: It's your typical BBQ decor with a little flair. There are a few TV's tuned to ESPN, metal license plates/signs and some racing items paying homage to the glory days of the owners. I was seriously craving BBQ when I stopped in here! Sadly I was still really craving BBQ after I ate here. This is the equivalent of a McD's for BBQ. The pulled pork and the shoulder were good, but nothing to yelp about. I liked that the fries were slightly overcooked in a good CRUNCHY way! However, the peppered raw cabbage that was supposed to be the coleslaw was horrible. HORRIBLE. The bright side is that the staff were great! Last note...
