Been here two or three times, and the really sweet Indian ladies have done a really nice job. They always made sure my brows were flawless, that I was comfortable, and were really gentle, no redness, etc. Basically awesome. Today, I went in, and there was already a girl in the chair getting her brows done by a lady I'd never seen before. The girl's two friends we sitting off to the side, waiting for her, but not waiting for a service. The threading woman told me to come sit in the seat, but kept cajoling the first girl's friends to try threading, to let her "just do the top" and see. So I stopped at the chair and waited, in case another girl wanted to get her stuff done, since they were here first. The girl's friends insisted they didn't want anything done. Now that I am absolutely sure that I'm next in line for the service, I finally take a seat in her chair. THEN I hear the lady tell one of the friends, "Hey, you have really pretty eyes, I think we have the same ones" then left me to go check out this girl's contact lenses. Ok. I ask the lady to keep my eyebrows as thick as possible. She doesn't seem to register my request because she attempts one last ditch effort and begs the girl's friend: "come onnnnnn, let me just do the top." Lady, I'm already in your chair. Are you seriously not going to quit it? While in the chair, she seemed pissed off she didn't get to do the cute, pretty Asian girl's eyebrows, and instead is left with the chubby Asian girl with gnarly eyebrows. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for years, I'm used to the process. I know how to tighten the skin, and I get that different threaders prefer different hand positions. This chick literally scolded me like a child for not positioning it perfectly. The end result of this debacle was two ridiculously thin eyebrows, a lot of redness, and so many stray hairs left over I ended up going home and waxing the rest off myself. I'm not talking two of three hairs here and there. I am talking about other than shaping my brows far too thinly, this chick did a worse job cleaning up my brows than me and my meaty hands and a few strips of Sally Hansen ready-made wax strips could do. If I wanted to throw my money away, I'd rather chuck it at those super sweet chicks at Rani in Canton who also thread my eyes far too thinly, but at least it's only $8 and they don't make me feel like I am a 3 minute inconvenience. Four star rating for the awesome job the other ladies have done for me (which i'd rate 3.5 to 4 stars). -5 for Miss Sassybritches who can't listen to a request over her own obnoxious braying. read more

Ok, I have been patroning Brow Art 23 for a couple of months. I still use them but I agree with the hit or miss statement. I always tell the threaders to go easy on the job, do not take too much off and please make sure you get all the hairs under the brow. I will continue to use this shop until I am unhappy but I want to make sure other users are aware of what is needed to get a good brow job. read more

I love this place. I've been coming here for a long time too. Ever since they were a kiosk in the hallway. They had me hooked on my first day, after I "broke up" with the waxer who was habitually cruel to my eyebrows. I like the threading. I like all the women who work here. I would rate this place zero stars if I could. I hail from Chicago, where I grew up getting my eyebrows threaded. Brow23 is absolutely horrible. They never get my eyebrows to be even with each other, they always ruin my naturally sharp arches despite my telling them not to, and they never get all the hair. I always end up having to tweeze once I leave that salon. I've given them three tries. And they want TWELVE DOLLARS for screwing up my eyebrows??? I paid $6 back in Chicago!!! They do well on the eyebrows, that is it.. the lighting in there is honestly very bad for them to do anything else. They did not do well on my face at all. Had to go over there work which I don't like at all when I pay for a service plus tip. Will never go there again... read more

I've been here two or three times and have never left satisfied. They charge WAY too much ($12 for eyebrows when normally only $8 in my hometown) and they rush through the service. The lady literally finished with my eyebrows in less than five mins and seemed distracted and annoyed when I told her to take off some of the stray eyebrows. To top it off, they don't clean off the stray hairs afterwards and my eyebrows were lopsided. Bad experiences overall. I'd suggest saving your money and going somewhere else if you can. read more

I'd give a zero star if there was an option. This is probably the worst place to get your eye brows threaded. I think this lady who did my brows has no idea what natural brow shape looks like. The gap between my brows was way too much, and she created a weird shape with the extra tiny hairs that would usually be removed. I should have been wise enuf to realize that these guys quite literally brow art , I mean they do abstract art with eye brows making them look extremely distorted and crooked.... And yes u finally have to pay them 12 bucks for making you look like some exotic animal from The Serengeti !! read more

My first time getting threading and it was bad! I friend referred me and suggested a particular threader, she was not available, there was only one person working, a younger women that was not very friendly but I just wanted to get it done so I went with her, my mistake. I should have realized that when the lady that was waiting in front of me said she was wait for another threader I should have waited too. I told her that I wanted to keep my eyebrows thick, well my eyebrows have never been so thin. I had full eyebrows with a nice arch and only needed a little clean up, I am left with uneven thin check marks for eyebrows that are less than half the fullness that I had prior to the threading. Avoid this place. Overpriced and poor quality. When I walked into Brow Art 23, there were no other customers, yet the lady who did my brows rushed and finished threading them in less than 5 minutes. My eyebrows turned out uneven. She also trimmed my brows before threading them, which I've never seen/experienced before. Afterwards, she didn't bother cleaning my eyebrows with astringent or brushing off the stray hairs. Then, she asked me if I want lotion, slapped it on, and called it a day. read more

The lady that I assume was the owner was rude and sarcastic and she did a poor job at cleaning up my eyebrows. The WORST eyebrow place I have ever been to. I've tried them a few times to see if anyone there was capable of doing a decent job threading and every time I have left disappointed. Either I have several cuts on my face from the thread, I leave with a ton of hair left that I have to pluck myself or they do something I ask them not to. I love this place. I had a new girl do my eyebrows and I'm usually skeptical of this. I usually have an older indian woman do them but she wasn't in but this girl was awesome. She explained to me what was going on with my eyebrows and how they grow uneven and she made them even and cleaned them up nicely. read more

Amna is the best. My eyebrows are always spectacular after she does them. The place is a bit pricey, but it's worth it.

Ask for Jessie! She's works quickly and gets the shape just right. The location is really convenient right near entrance of the mall.

The threading done by these ladies are pretty inconsistent with the results. I've had my eyebrows threaded too thin when i specifically said to just clean up the outside not shape it. There is a girl(her name is Himanshi I believe) who is the younger one of the people of who work there and she seems to have very little experience. On both of the occasions I went to her for threading, she has cut my face multiple times with the thread because she applies too much pressure and the thread constantly breaks. She needs to be taught again because it is 5 days later, and i have cuts that are trying to heal all over my face now. Also, I've had my face threaded for almost 8 years. It should not be hurting that bad if you have had threading done for some time; however, when this girl does it, it starts to feel intolerable with the pain. Some of the ladies do an excellent job. I'd recommend continuing to go to the same lady who threads your eyebrows if you are happy with the specific lady's work. read more

I've gotten my eyebrows threaded here twice and both times loved how they turned out. They keep them thick and the shape is perfect. Quick and affordable as well. I moved out of Ann Arbor and made a trip to the mall to get them done when I was in town for the night. Other places have thinned then too much or ruined my shape, not here! The only person here that does eyebrows really well is the older lady (the owner I believe). I've been going here for 4-5 years now and the staff here has changed a lot. The newer girls are horrible! I always try to go when the owner is there but recently it seems like she is cutting her hours. I went recently to do my eyebrows and my usual person wasn't there and I decided to get it done by one of the girls. She said she will clean it up and my eyebrows look like something I could've done. I thread my eyebrows to mainly get the clean look and it just looks pathetic! I didn't ask her to fix it because I did not want to risk losing more hair. My advice is do not pay 12$ to get done something you easily could do at home. The only person that can actually thread is the owner so unless she is there keep your money! Highly disappointed and going to look for a Different place. read more

I am really pissed at this place today. There is an Indian girl with long black hair who really sucks. She has an attitude problem and does not know her work. She completely ruined my eyebrows. But I went to this place earlier, another girl named Priya did a really good job. So please if you are there try to avoid her. read more
