I've received a lot of recommendations to eat here. I finally got a chance to try it. The atmosphere was pretty good. The service was not bad. After you order and they deliver your food, there isn't much more staff is needed for since you fill your own drink. The food was really good. I ordered the Green Chili Queso burger. It was very moist and meety with great flavor. Fries were cooked well and tasty too. It's a little pricey, came out to around $25 for the burger, fries and a drink. read more

We were passing through town, making this our overnight stop on a long road trip. Something simple felt right so we gave BBB a try. It did not disappoint!!! If we lived here this would be a fave for sure. The burgers were so good!! Had the Hawaiian Burger and the flavors were so integrated to create something unique with a reliable fave at the same time. My wife got the classic cheeseburger and said it was very good too! My sweet potato fries were fantastic! The right amount of crispy without being over done. Our server was delightful and helpful. She did a great job. The vibe of the place is hip but not trying too hard so it is a comfortable and casual atmosphere that makes you feel welcome! We were in Flagstaff for our son's graduation from NAU. We walked here from the High Country Motor Lodge (cool hotel) next door expecting a crowd. Place was pretty empty. We grabbed some menus and a table. After about 5-6 minutes, it was evident there are not servers. Would have been nice to been told this. So we walked up to the bar to order. They were out of two of their craft beers and several domestic. We ordered their IPA (which was pretty good) and some burgers. Burgers were large and flavorful. Fries were so-so. We stopped in to Brown Bag Burger Bar for a quick lunch. I called ahead to make sure they could accommodate a food allergy. When we arrived, we were surprised by the clean modern interior and fun 90's inspired art. We ordered at the bar and then found a booth. It was about a twenty minute wait for food. I got the vegan burger and it was excellent--crispy and flavorful. Loved the bun too. The onion rings looked great but there was a fishy taste I could neither get past nor place. Definitely not worth the up charge. The fries and tater tots others at my table got were better. Though there's not table service per se, Brianne brought us condiments, checked in, and offered to go boxes. She's holding this place down--it was pretty impressive. Visited Flagstaff recently and got to take my son out to lunch. He wanted a burger so we chose brown bag. As the mural on the wall with Samuel Jackson says, it is a tasty burger! Fans of pulp fiction need to visit just for that specific piece of ambiance. I went in at an off time and had no problems with wait time. As it was our first time there the waitress spent extra time going through her menu favorites and helped us decide which burgers to go with. The service was good since we were right there. Loved the great local beer options, I tried a few and they were all tasty. Hubby and I brought our hungry college freshman nephew here on a recent visit to Flag. I ordered the Cajun burger, which was a flavor explosion in my mouth. The seasonings were a little on the salty side for me, but the cole slaw helped ease some of the saltiness. It was cooked perfectly and the bun was super soft and moist. We ordered a side of fries which came with two dipping sauces. They were well cooked and seasoned. We enjoyed the zesty house dressing that came on our side salads. I wasn't sure what to expect initially, but I'm glad I tried this place! It's located near some student housing so I was worried about parking/having to pay, but it was no problem. There's a few spots on the side of the building and when you first enter the parking garage on the right. They offer a lot of different burgers. I've tried a few and I like all the flavors and combinations. Do note that it's a bit expensive, but pretty average priced for Flagstaff. The staff was friendly and I also enjoyed the drink menu. They do have happy hour prices during certain times of the week and all day on Sundays. I'd definitely come back to try more! read more

If I could give zero I would. First off there was only one person working the front, she had the orders to take, make drinks, run the bar and pick up food in the kitchen. Unsatisfactory for an establishment to have one person doing that. I would presume that there was only one cook as well because food came out relatively slow. I had wings and a burger, neither was seasoned. Wings were supposed to be naked, they came out as if they had been grilled than sat under a broiler to crisp, the burger was not seasoned the meat tasting light. The grill needed to be cleaned. On an average Saturday night it was not too busy we sat at a table and then we went up to the bar to order our food like they instruct us however they asked how we want our burger cooked and suggested medium rare and we all four ordered our Burgers as suggested. But they all were well done and black it was very disappointing. Also our fried pickles and onion rings were nearly burnt. We had no wait service to clean up our trays at the table or check on us and we sat there for an extra 30 minutes just socializing. Then we went to the bathroom and the men's restroom was a total disaster there were pubes on the toilet seat and there was a black long hair in the sink along with dirty Grime all over the sink and mirror and paper towels that were coming out of the trash can all over the floor. My mom & I stopped here on our way home from Utah. The fries were hot and my burger was absolutely delicious. It was just spicy enough. Our hostess/server was super friendly & explained the easy ordering process right when we walked in. We liked that we could seat ourselves. We also really loved the beautiful mural by @lanikai__art. We removed one of the stars because my mom's Hawaiian burger wasn't cooked as ordered. But we were super impressed that the kitchen was able to accommodate her garlic allergy. Per usual, Yelp does not fail! This little eatery is hidden by a large apartment complex, but it's worth the search. My husband and I arrived a little after 11 a.m. on a Monday, so it was not busy. We were given menus and could choose our seats. The menu has a long list of burgers and sandwiches. We chose the grilled chicken sandwich on a brioche bun. It was delicious! The chicken was juicy. Lunchtime (early lunch - we arrived around 11:15) on a Tuesday was pretty slow, we were greeted promptly and with a friendly smile! Cool exposed duct work on the ceiling and interesting to study artwork on the walls made for a hipster ambiance! For a place that recommends its burgers medium-rare, ours came out a bit too medium-well. Fun flavor combos. I enjoyed the hangover (I passed on the chipotle mayo because I'm not a chipotle fan) and my husband thought the green chili burger could have used a little work to make it something to write home about. Kids patties were pretty tiny, I wish they would list the patty size on the kids menu because we would have ordered our kids an adult burger. Mac n cheese bites were tasty if that's your thing! First visit recently. Flagstaff always needs a great place to eat great burgers; options in town for this have always been limited and the contenders for great burger places each have serious drawbacks - no space, no parking, too expensive, etc. Our order: I ordered the BBQ burger and upgraded my side to fried pickles. My wife ordered the mushroom burger with regular fries. What's good: the two meals were very good and earn instant inclusion into the best Flagstaff burger conversation. The brioche bun, quality of the meat, and the size of the sandwich are ideal for a great burger. The fried pickles are cut into the shape of fries and were extra crisp - they're served with ranch. The sriracha mayo is also a great choice as the complimentary dipping sauce for the French fries. What's bad: Parking is limited outside the restaurant; the adjacent apartment garage is, I believe, good for restaurant parking (my wife did that with no problem - apparently there's retail parking in the garage but there are no signs indicating that when you pull into the tiny parking lot), but be careful anyways. Besides that, it is a little pricier than normal for two burger meals and two drinks ($40). I myself didn't like how bbq sauce and fresh pickles were combined on my burger - but I could have taken them off and didn't. Bottom line: this place should have a lot more customers, but I really think to do that they'll need to clarify available parking (for families traveling through) and find a way to sell brioche bun burgers at a lower price and still be able to make money (for the young people in the apartment complex above). But, the food is good and it's a decent place to get a beer as well. read more

I came here with high hopes: a good burger with a couple of beers. I had a ok burger with ok fries and one beer. The burger was ok, the fries were ok but got saltier the more I ate it. I wanted IPA but apparently it blew so I had to have something else. There isn't much of a "bar" since there is very limited alcoholic drinks. There is a big square "bar" you can sit at in the middle of the restaurant. My husband said the chicken sandwich was ok but was very disappointed with the salad which was only arugula which happens to be my husband's least favorite. The salad didn't have any other vegetables which would've been nice. This place is semi-self service restaurant. You go up to order and get your own drinks (non-alcoholic drinks). This is an excellent burger place! Wow! Highly impressed at the freshness and high quality taste of the food. They have a separate fryer for the fries that are gluten free for those of us with allergies. They have dairy free cheese options and gluten free buns! LOVE this place so much. The owner Ian is super awesome too. Made sure our food was tasting good during our visit. The inside looks great, very modern industrial look. Very clean and spacious.
