Set right on the main street on PCH in Corona Del Mar, I live sitting out in their patio so u get all the vibes of the local scene and the community but also get to be enclosed in the restaurant. Their food is tasty and delicious and u really cant go wrong with any of their selections. The line moves pretty quick thanks to an awesome staff so you're nit waiting too long. There was no welcome, no kindness, just unnecessary rudeness for absolutely no reason. I even said I live here because I could not understand why she was behaving this way. On top of that, the food was disappointing. The bagel was not good at all and definitely not worth the experience we had to deal with. The only positive part of the visit was one gentleman working there who was very sweet and tried to make the situation better. He was the only bright spot and I honestly felt bad for him. So I go to all 3 of the bagel places as they each offer something different. Bruegger's, Einstein, and Noah's. Each year when my birthday comes around I go to all three as they offer a free item with purchase if you are part of the rewards program. I was disappointed this year though by Bruegger's. Einstein and Noah's offered different egg sandwiches, but Bruegger's only offered a bagel with cream cheese. They were not busy. Maybe that was a clue. The service was friendly and the place was clean but the everything bagel was not crispy and tasted burnt and bitter even if it wasn't. The cream cheese for some reason was sweet although I got plain. The vanilla iced coffee was all syrup. I threw it out. The breakfast sandwich with sausage was frozen sausage. I'm a bagel connoisseur.. This place is super cute! I love the fact that they have their own parking. Think chipotle style ordering but for bagels. They have such a good variety of bagels made fresh, they are delicious. They were extremely busy and the workers were a bit overwhelmed, valid. The reason I took a star off was because they don't offer dairy free cream cheese, which is necessary especially when you love bagels but can't have dairy... the worker told me their "light plain" cream cheese had no dairy... I ordered it believing him, but had a feeling, looked on their allergen list online & saw it did indeed have dairy ... I was upset but they nicely remade it without the cream cheese and it was good. You see all kinds of stuff. I don't order anything extravagant here. Just a regular donut and one bagel. I usually sit outside for 15 minutes or so. It is not jammed packed as a Starbucks and I have never bumped into any weirdos here. It is also about 30% cheaper than Starbucks across the street. I like this way better. This particular Bruegger's makes it convenient and easy to get a coffee and log in to your laptop and get a little work done. It is also ideal for just sitting back and reading a few emails or talking with a friend. Parking is also easy. The adjacent lot is free and I have never had a problem finding a spot. I am also treated nicely by the staff here. The folks in the morning are nice! Overall, I am a fan. read more
