I had to try the Chorizo breakfast bagel special, I'm such a sucker for a limited time offer. This location was probably the friendliest and most attentive staff I've run across in a Brueggers. Order was quick, easy, accurate and so was payment. Steven C was at the register as per the receipt. The sandwich was very flavorful, however I threw some hot sauce on it for good measure. read more

We had lunch here. I had the hot pastrami signature sandwich bagel. I enjoyed this bagel and will order it again. Very tasty! My wife had the turkey club sandwich. She enjoyed the sandwich. The employees were friendly and courteous. Everything is takeout as there is no indoor seating available at this time. Hopefully they'll change that in the future. We enjoy their bagels and we recommend Brueggers bagels. read more

Not much to say. I hadn't been to this location in a long time. They have the typical Brueggers bagels, which are always good. I got a pain bagel with light herb garlic cream cheese. It was ready quickly, and really good. You can't sit inside right now with COVID, which was ok with me. read more

I was shocked at the bad customer service just now. There was a blonde young girl with light eyes. She was really rude and dismissive to my elderly mother who was trying to order. You have to look people in the eye, speak clearly and loudly, and be helpful. We were disappointed. So moving on to food. My son's bagel was cut so uneven that one was super tiny and hard and one was huge and puffy. My mom's bagel was hardly toasted and she said it wasn't very flavorful. They didn't have hazelnut coffee like it said on the menu. Then the staff all sits at the tables and gossips loudly. Ugh! I love brueggers I used to go all the time. The kid who made my bagel today put butter on my bagel with cream cheese after I ordered just an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese. I love coming here. I really do. Unfortunately, around 12:30, on 6/2/18, there was a "customer" who came in with his pretty red-haired girlfriend. He was EXTREMELY abusive to her, upsetting her with verbal abuse, and he grabbed her arm when she tried to leave. My boyfriend and I were ready to call the cops on him, and fellow customers were ready to beat him. His body language and posture were very threatening, and if I see him again, he will be watched very closely. If he touches her again where I can see it, he will get the cops called on him. Bruegger's in Webster, if you see him again, PLEASE watch him. He's a short (about 5'8") little white dude, maybe late 20's / early 30's, with cropped brown hair and glasses, and a beer gut. Don't let him touch her again if he comes back. His behavior was extremely out of line, and I have a picture of him and his car on my dash cam. This may be standard for the area in terms of bagels and service, but the bagels are just ok. The service is polite, but incredibly slow (I waited a lot longer when no one was in front of me than when two people were in front of me). The really bad thing that happened was they ran out of a fairly standard bagel (cinnamon raisin) when I was there during a SLOW morning. They are also not the best with sanitation. It wasn't terribly egregious, but one of the employees dropped a dollop of cream cheese for my bagel onto the counter rather than on the wax paper or the bagel. She promptly picked it up and tried to put it on my bagel. I had to ask her not to. read more

This particular brueggers struggles. There is one very sour girl who works there, who wear a "shift manager" pin, but we have no idea how she's a manager there seeing as how she hates the customers, the job, and maybe everything? Somehow on the weekends they run out of the basic bagels that should always be on hand, such as plain and sesame. Oftentimes the bagels you do get are stunted in some way, either smushed or have huge holes. Today I went in for a lunch and ordered a ciabatta sandwich. The sour girl in question snapped at the baker asking if they had any ciabatta, and he said they did. I think she went into the freezer to get the bread. It was then microwaved and resembled a soggy mess by the time I got it. I was polite throughout the whole process but no matter how much you try to get the girl to say "you're welcome" she just ignores any pleasantries. In addition, another time my husband went and the girl in question couldn't peel some cheese off of the stack so she just angrily chucked the whole block against the wall. Upon giving my order, a girl came in behind me (assuming she worked there and was on her day off) she chatted with the employees about her hair and her conditioner and what she was going to do today. I've been frequenting Bruegger's Bagel Bakery since their inception. Service, selection and overall appearance of each location defines the restaurant. Having said that, thumbs up to all with the exception of one. The Empire Blvd Store is a sad example for this business. The staff in general are sloppy looking, unhappy and lack focus. Disheveled, stained and unkept best describe their attire. Restaurant hygiene and basic food handling are overlooked regularly. Swiping the prep counter with hygienic gloves, wiping glove clad hands on stained aprons, using the same knife soiled with the previous cuts residue are all topped off by using the dirty, filthy counter cloth to clean said knife. That's after embarrassingly pointing out the dirty knife. The coffee station is consistently out out napkins and that too looks like a frat house counter on Saturday morning. How about having a full assortment of bagels in THE MORNING. 7:45-8:45 is prime time and shortages exist regularly. Sorry folks, sometimes the truth hurts.... read more

"make sure they change the gloves after touching the counter/credit card machine" i goto this store very often. at least 2-3 times a week. i always had a good experience especially the lady who works early in the morning on weekend is so pleasant that always made my 6:30am morning great. however, today's experience made me never come back to this store again. this new girl was so rude, hyper and not organized and did'nt even change her gloves after touching the credit card machine and gave me an attitude when I told her to change the gloves before making my orders. read more
