I have to honestly say that this place far exceeded the hype that currently surrounds it. They seriously care about their craft. The way the food is presented is an art in itself. What a cute new gem to Brentwood! This spot is next door to Menchie's and Roundtable. Across the street from Ross in that parking area. Near The Streets of Brentwood. Easy parking and cute outdoor sign, can't miss it. The menu was bright and fun. A ton of options for lite or hearty meals for breakfast and lunch. There was indoor and outdoor seating. Tables seem limited and while I didn't see a wait I could easily see how that can happen quickly. Food came out fast but not all together. You order at the register and they bring out the food as it's made. This is not sit down dining with a dedicated server. However the staff was lovely, gave me some recommendations when ordering. I had the banana bread later, the taste was too subtle for my liking and I wished I ordered the Biscoff iced latte. That looked divine! They also had oatmilk for my non-dairy fans. The tropical chia breakfast item was gorgeous. And luckily not too sweet. It was tasty and I would have it again. Very filling. I never knew this place existed until my homegirl picked here for brunch. It's very clean and cute inside because of their pink floral decor. The cherry blossom tree is a nice touch, so pretty. You order your own food, pay with the cashier and find a table to sit with your number. When the food is ready, they'll bring it out to you and take your number. The staff were very friendly and I believe the owner was there as well. He came up to us and asked how everything was. There was a younger gentleman who would come and take our plates, he was smiling and gave us great service. I could tell he was a hard worker! Visited for brunch during the restaurant's first week open and came away feeling like this place has a lot of potential. The space is beautiful, and although it's an order-at-the-counter concept, the food presentation feels much more elevated than a typical casual cafe. I ordered the ube mochi waffle with a side of organic scrambled eggs. The highlight for me was definitely the mascarpone on the waffle--it was delicious and paired nicely with the berries. My biggest piece of feedback is that the waffle arrived already heavily covered in syrup. I've never had a brunch restaurant pre-pour syrup before, and unfortunately it made the dish much sweeter than I would have preferred. Since sweetness is such a personal preference, I'd recommend serving the syrup on the side and letting guests decide how much they'd like. The scrambled eggs were cooked well but could have used some seasoning. A little salt and pepper would have gone a long way, or even having it available alongside the meal. I also checked out the patio but ended up moving inside. The indoor space is much more inviting, while the outdoor seating currently overlooks the parking lot. Overall, the food was good, the restaurant is attractive, and I can see myself coming back. In my opinion, the biggest issue isn't the food--it's the overall process. The concept needs to decide whether it's casual or full-service, because right now it feels caught somewhere in between. The menu, presentation, and pricing all suggest a more upscale brunch experience. However, you're expected to stand in line and make your decision quickly while holding a menu. Personally, I expected a more welcoming and polished experience. It also feels awkward to dine in while a line of customers forms right next to your table. Since you have to order at the counter before being seated, there's a chance you'll end up carrying your food around looking for a table. The flow of the restaurant feels confusing and unnecessarily complicated. If you need something after you've been served, it's not clear whether you should flag down an employee or get back in line. The service and overall atmosphere don't quite match the pricing or the expectations created by the menu. There was a lot of noise, several customers seemed confused about the ordering process, and the space could benefit from a more relaxing ambiance, even something as simple as background music. If this were my restaurant, I would have a host greet and seat guests, reorganize the self-service area so it doesn't interfere with diners, replace some of the seating, add a few more tables where possible, and make the outdoor patio more inviting with some type of cover or shade. I honestly don't think these improvements would require more staff--just a better-designed process. That said, I'm giving this place 4 stars because I know firsthand how difficult it is to run a restaurant, especially in today's market. I truly hope the owners take this as constructive feedback. We met the owners and they came around to say hi. Service was attentive. It was also nice of them to come up to us and orient us on how the ordering ans seating works. The tomoato soup was very delicious and I loved the bread to filling ratio on the sandwiches. The noise level can be a little loud and the outdoor seating could be improved with a little gate and greenery so its not just on the sidewalk next to the parking lot. The lattes were perfectly crafted and delicious, the chia pudding breakfast was fresh, flavorful, and the perfect way to start the day. The sandwiches were incredible, especially the Southwestern style chicken sandwich, it paired perfectly with the tomato soup, which was rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. The freshest and tastiest brunch I've had in a long time! You can tell a lot of thought and care goes into every detail from the food to the atmosphere and service. For drinks I ordered the Iced Biscoff Latte and my husband got the Banana Bread Latte, both drinks were so delicious! For food, we shared the Shakshuka, the Southwest Chicken panini with a side of house-made tomato soup, and the Berry Waffles. Every dish was so beautifully prepared and flavorful! But what really stood out to me was how fresh everything tasted. When I saw Acme bread on the menu I immediately knew that this spot cares about using quality, fresh, and local ingredients. I was a bit hesitant to write a negative review. I know this is a new business and a small one and I want it to flourish. I just have to give my feedback on my experience here today with the hopes that they will improve on these aspects of service. I ordered the Banana Bread Latte and the Turkey sandwich on sourdough with a side of tomato soup. First, the person who placed my order made a mistake and I was handed the wrong sandwich. I think it was because when she was in the middle of taking my order, she was talking to her coworker about something and probably forgot what I said lol Second, it took a really long time for my friend and I to get our drinks. When my drink came, I couldn't taste the espresso at all nor the banana. It sort of tasted like what's left in a latte after you drink most of it and the ice melts it. I'm not sure if this is just how the recipe is or if my drink was just sitting there for so long. But I really couldn't finish it and ended up just handing it back. I didn't ask for a refund on it either. It was really chaotic in there and the staff were all quite busy. At this point, we had been there for 45 minutes and my friend hadn't gotten her drink yet. She got the morning latte, and she flagged down an employee to ask where her drink was. The employee said "I'm sorry, did you still want it?"and we were a bit confused by this response. My friend really wanted her drink because we waited there for a while, and she also paid for it lol. She wasn't the biggest fan of the drink after all, so I would recommend against the morning latte. It took a while to get someone to get us boxes. The overall atmosphere of the establishment was a bit anxiety inducing. The staff was really stressed and a bit inexperienced. It wasn't as seamless as I would have hoped especially because I spent $29 on the sandwich, the latte, and the tip I had given. With this economy, if I'm spending $17 on a sandwich, I would hope to have a better experience and more attentive waitstaff. Overall, I wouldn't say I would go back. I would consider it if I notice more positive reviews and specific menu recommendations to try next time. read more

Just had the Blueberry Lemon Ube Waffle with mascarpone and lemon zest! She came topped with a generous amount of blueberries and blackberries! Served piping hot, just the way I like it! The waffle consistency was nice and dense with a more eggy presence , which to me was very nice indeed., I scarfed it down handily. We noticed staff rushing in with eggs and other ingredients throughout our visit, so it seemed like they may have been running behind. It took almost an hour to get our food. My husband ordered the corned beef hash and enjoyed the flavor, although he also felt the portion was small. I had a sandwich that was decent, but nothing that really stood out. As for the drinks, the banana coffee was disappointing it tasted mostly like milk with very little coffee flavor. It's counter service, you pick up your own silverware and get your coffee at the coffee bar after ordering and paying but the food is then brought to your table when it's ready. Seems like a brilliant concept for this location space size and helps to keep prices reasonable. Decor is simple but very appealing and the layout flows easily. The place is spotless, there are plenty of staff who are very friendly and helpful. We pulled two tables together and sat outside because my two happy toddler granddaughters can sometimes be noisy. When the food was brought to the table, all the dishes were beautifully presented, the hot food was hot. It was evident right away that the ingredients are very fresh (forgot to ask if organic when available), from the bread to the fruit to soup and our selections were delicious. My son commented the tomato soup was the best he'd ever had (I'm not insulted and I'd love to get the recipe). We were celebrating the birthdays of the 2 babies which we mentioned when one of the owners stopped by to check if we needed anything. After we finished our meal the owners and all the staff came out with kid size waffles with berries and whipped cream and sang happy birthday with us. Completely unexpected and exceptional. Everyone enjoyed their meal selections and all agreed we will be back. This is not a paid review and I do not know the two couples who are the owners and were there that day.
