Their service was absolutely lovely. We were suprise how friendly and accommodating they are despite the influx of customers. Honestly felt they that they like what they are doing. Food was great. Reasonable for its price. Big portions. Ordered a bunch but the star was the steak and skillet. The steak was flavorful. Suprsingly the Pizza pancake was tasty too- Sweet and salty. Place was clean, nice with lots of parking space. It does not feel crowded. Definitely coming back. PS. Wished you guys have name tags to give you compliments here. I had heard such great reviews so we were really looking forward to trying it. We came on a Sunday early afternoon around noon. The parking lot was packed but there was only a 5 minute wait. The restaurant itself is beautiful and nicely decorated. Plenty of spaces for phoo ops. We ordered the kids Mickey pancake, a Spanish omelette, a strawberry mimosa and a Belgian waffle with sausage patties. Service was quick wait staff and bussers were nice, helpful and attentive. The food was mediocre. It did lack in flavor and seasonings. The strawberry mimosa tasted like something out of a can. The only flavorful part of the omelette was the chorizo, we had to add salt and pepper to the sausage patties. The syrup for the waffle and pancakes even felt watered down. The coffee didn't stand out either. I really wanted to enjoy this space as it's literally down the street from our house, but I can't right now. read more

We visited the restaurant for the first time last weekend. The decor is appealing, and the place is clean, but it was obnoxiously loud, making it difficult to hold a conversation. Unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations. Both orders of poached eggs were overcooked, the skillet lacked flavor, and the Bloody Mary was basically a glass of tomato juice, served with a skewer of dry cheese and pickles. Amazing new brunch place, highly recommend. Ample parking, beautiful decorations, great atmosphere. Per the other review, I am not sure why they think music was too loud, it is barely playing in the background. The portions are also very fair and satisfying, no one left feeling hungry. My table got a mix of the meat skillet, and the choice of egg and meat. You can either get a side of toast or pancakes. I did not think the potatoes were over garlicky at all. They were perfectly seasoned. Their drink menu is also amazing and the drinks are so good and beautifully crafted. Very kind staff and management. This place is new to the area. It's very nice, clean, and bright--also great for families and big groups. The servers and hosts are so welcoming. The service was excellent. The food was delicious. Portions are big for just the two of us. We ordered Barbacoa Benedict and Eggs Any Style with two eggs, sausage patties, and buttermilk pancakes. We enjoyed both dishes. The house potatoes were a disappointment. It lacked flavor and wasn't fresh. The pancakes were terrific. It's a must-have. The best thing about this place is the atmosphere. The decoration and set up is so cute and aesthetic! However, the food my 6 friends and I had were mediocre at best. I had the chicken and waffles and would have been better off going to iHop. The chicken was kinda skimpy and skinny lacking flavor, but they did seem fresh. The waffles themselves were good from the outside but when biting into them it tasted raw and more cooking time needed. The caramel iced latte I asked for lacked caramel and espresso flavor ($.50 charge for the caramel). My friend had the barbacoa Benedicts and said it wasn't that good and would have preferred going somewhere else-- that it tasted funky and not like your typical barbacoa. My friends brother had chocolate pancakes and you can't go wrong with those, he was happy with them. My other friends had omelets and said the potato's that came with them were hard and some of them were super soggy, but the fig jam was SUPER tasty (the sweet and savory omelette). Not to mention my friends white toast came with a hair but the server acted quick to get her new toast. Speaking of the server, I think his name was Javier, he was an alright server but was lacking charisma and that might be due to him kind of being new at attending customers or something (not sure) but if I could make a suggestion, be a little more charismatic. My other friend had the berry crepes and said they were alright and my friend with the oatmeal said it was your regular oatmeal nothing special but it did lack some flavor. For how much everything was and for how it tasted, it was okay and I would not return. If I could suggest, the music they played was very off from their demographic. We are young adults and would have enjoyed more up to date pop songs than the old songs that aren't even that good. Their demographic (as any other breakfast/brunch place) were older people (grandparents maybe) and they could cater their music taste to their generation, a mix of both new and old-old music for a better experience. I wouldn't recommend you give it a try, but if you'd like then check it out since it is a new opened spot, but you're definitely better off going somewhere else around the area. read more

Heard about Brunch City on social. Came in today to enjoy breakfast with my cousins. Food is fresh and good, however our server ruined the day. From the beginning when we told him we weren't ready to order yet, he puffed and rolled his eyes. I didn't say anything. No greeting, no hello, barking the menu and making us pay the check and making sure to point out the tip. Kept rushing. There were four of us. We arrived at 11:00 and at 12:20 he asked us to leave because people were waiting for the booth. There were only 6 people waiting when we left. He was being a bully towards us. Please train your staff to give your customers a warm experience. It's Sunday morning and families are gathering for a nice breakfast and everyone expects to wait. I will not be recommending Brunch City to my followers. I should have asked for a manager, but when you're told to leave it's hard to sit and enjoy any more time together without focusing on what just happened. Again, ruined our day. read more

My wife and I went in for breakfast today (Friday) to avoid the weekend crowd and it was our first time there. The staff was friendly and polite but that's where the positive part of the review ends. The restaurant was freezing to the point of being uncomfortable, the service was slow, and it took a while to get our food which is overpriced and truly nothing special, just meh. There are a few other restaurants within a few minutes of this location that have better food. Those who love Brunch City's food should try another restaurant in the area for a true comparison. Great food made fresh, generous portions, warm & friendly staff with an inviting atmosphere! I can't say enough about the staff at Brunch City. I arrived with my mom at 2:30pm and they're only open until 3pm. So I ran inside to see if it was too late to order food and the woman whom I guessed is the manager/owner welcomed us in. Never were we rushed to order or eat our food. My mom who is 89 can't wait for me to bring her back for a breakfast soon. I definitely recommend giving this restaurant a try. read more

I was excited about a new breakfast restaurant in the area and especially one conveniently located between me and a friend who I often meet for lunch during the week. Unfortunately, they made it clear they don't need the business after being open for only a few weeks. The food and service were mediocre. Attention to detail was definitely lacking. Took about 5 minutes just to place the order with our server which we overlooked since everything is new. My friend ordered the Barbacoa Benedict and asked for the avocado on the side. It came with huge chunks of avocado as well as avocado on the side. Luckily she doesn't have an allergy because the avocado was well hidden under the meat. I ordered a cheese omelette with bacon and mushrooms. The menu said $1.25 for each additional item, there was no mention on the menu or from the server that bacon would be more. The bill came and they charged $4 for the scant amount of bacon that was in my omelette. I called it out to the server who kept telling me bacon was more $$ and I said it does not say that on the menu. He said he'd talk to the manager and came back and apologized but that was the charge. I then asked to speak to the manager who came to the table with an attitude and started arguing with me that bacon is more money showing me the $5 side of bacon on the back of the menu. I did not order a side of bacon!! She kept arguing with me while saying she wasn't going to argue with me. She then asked what I wanted her to do. I said charge me $1.25 for the bacon. She reluctantly agreed and then said she would do it this one time but not next time. My friend said not a problem, we won't be back and the manager said, "That's fine." I should not have to waste almost 10 mins of my lunch time arguing over $3.75 ending in bad feelings about this restaurant and causing me to write this review. In addition they offer maple syrup for an upcharge of $4 which was fine but it came in a tiny bottle that wasn't enough syrup for 2 pancakes and it was very thick which quality maple syrup is not. In short, don't waste your money here with all the up charges and a subpar experience. I highly recommend First Watch on Mannheim and Brunch Cafe on Dempster which have great food and service and are consistent. This restaurant has a long way to go to compete with either of those. read more

I was here shortly after they opened, everything was stellar. I went back over the weekend and found it disappointing. I was hoping to schedule a luncheon for August on a Saturday. I was told no groups or separate checks on weekends, which was fine. However, there were several hiccups in the meal and service. My friend ordered an omelet with fruit and asked for a side of pico de gallo. I ordered bacon and eggs with a side of French toast vs pancakes. While the meal came in a timely matter, my friends omelet came without the pico de gallo, when she asked for it our waiter brought her a plate of pickles. He corrected it with a small vial, not even a quarter cup of Pico. My meal was fine. The bill came and we found I had an upcharge for French toast of $3, my friend was charged $2 for the Pico de Gallo. If we had been told of the upcharge she wouldn't have got the pico and I would have had the pancakes. This was a total ripoff, the server should have advised us, while it's only a rural of $5, it should have been disclosed. read more

Staff member sitting in booth doing something , looked up at us standing at inside entrance and promptly put her head back down to continue whatever she was working on - apparently more important than customers eager to check out and support a new local restaurant.
