First time I've ever stumbled into a waitress version of a Karen, absolutely disgusting experience, she brought the wrong food because she wasn't paying attention to the order and than she goes ahead and tries to argue with me how eggs benedict are made, eggs, seriously mediocre, after we asked her to change it she literally kept pushing it and not bringing the order waiting 30+ mins and it was definitely not busy only 3 other tables. We asked her to not bring it because we didn't want it anymore, they brought it for "free" probably spit on it so we threw it in the trash after we left. An utter gem! Loved everything about it. The bacon sticky bun is an absolute marvel of a confection & *not* to be missed under any circumstances. The house-made bloody was spicy perfection. My wife had the tamale waffle, which was as intriguing & delicious as it sounds. But we did decide that I won breakfast with the verde carnitas hash: it was packed with so much flavor, I hardly touched the hot sauces (excellent and HOT though they were). My numero uno - almost always get this. I order with out chorizo and it lacks NOTHING. The smoked tomato salsa that is it's base flavor? I've literally asked them to sell me a bottle. SO GOOD. I also ask for it as a side with every entree I order because they are super nice and I want that sh** on everything. Veg breakfast burrito is also so tasty. French press coffee, a brioche sweet roll with bacon cooked into it with vanilla cream cheese , shrimp and grits with hidden crunch, chicken fried steak and the best waffles and fried chicken this side of the Mississippi River. The pictures do not do this breakfast justice. If I would have known about this place I would have skipped them just to go here again. I love shrimp and grits. It's such a basic comfort food but at the hands of this group it's raised to a new level. The grits were creamy and cheesy, the , peppers and sausage cooked perfectly. I will return for this dish alone. We ordered one of the brioche sweet rolls to start with but probably should have ordered one for each person. My son let us have two bites before he pulled it close and tucked into it leaving only a smudge of cream cheese frosting for us. Drop any plans for eating somewhere else. You'll be glad you ate here. Came here with my parents on a Wednesday morning and was worried about the wait after reading the reviews. Good thing we came when we did because when we left, there was a line out the door! What a catastrophe. My friend was so excited to go to one of her favorite new brunch places that had a hipster flare, but on this occasion, the meal failed to achieve the edible baseline. The worst part is that the failure was not handled properly by management, however, our waitress was very nice. Issue list: 1- french press coffee looking like pond water with double grounds after they remade it. 2- the breading on the chicken fried steak was falling off. It appeared to also be overcooked and incorrectly tenderized (rubber chewy) (wasn't cube steak) 3- The eggs were ordered over medium and what was delivered were eggs that were hard and eggs that were easy. 4- the brunch potatoes also tasted stale and like they had been reheated more than once. The meal just wasn't edible. We raised the issue to our server that we would just like the check. After some time passed the check was delivered and the waitress apologized and then went too far and stated that the breading was rice flour and that's why it had been falling off in the fryer and that I must have not been used to eating chicken fried steak made that way. The waitress then continued to try and tell and convince us (as directed by management) that she was doing us a favor to take the French press coffee we didn't and couldn't drink off the check and that the restaurant was being nice to only charge us 50% on what we didn't eat. The odd thing is the restaurant took the food from our table so we couldn't eat if it was still edible and worth the 50% we paid. I ate maybe 5% of what was in front of me outside of eating the bacon sticky bun which was good, but nothing award winning and didn't taste like bacon. The waitress came back out to deliver the charged card and stated that the restaurant had a manager available and she would be happy to have her come out. Really?!? I explained, "We stated that we already complained and that it was already in your court if the manager wanted to talk to us directly about it." Oddities: -- The waitress had already made it clear she had to get management approval to get half off. -- It was also clear the manager was aware of the situation and chose not to come out and left the waitress to play middleman and flailing. -- As we left we heard the waitress talking to the manager behind the kitchen door showing that the manager was aware what was going on the entire time leaving the waitress to do something that wasn't her job and deal with any confrontation. It really is a shame this management is hiding behind its mistakes and doing the wrong things. Sorry, I can't recommend from business ethics alone. Holy smokes! The food and service here are GREAT! The menu is so flavorful and unique for a breakfast place. I was so surprised. Their mimosa selection is huge and so fun. I got a bloody mary which was also very good. I was in LOVE with the verde hash!! Sooooo yummy! Our server was awesome and took really good care of us. Be prepared for a long wait cause this place is popular and it shows. Always a popular place when I try to eat here. There's always a wait, but not much room to sit or wait. Diverse menu with options for vegetarians and vegans. The sticky buns is utterly amazing! I had a fried chicken sandwich and it's the best fried chicken I've had in Spokane in awhile! Service was decent. Our waters were not filled up even though we sat at the bar. Went on Wednesday morning had the chicken fried steak and my friend had the breakfast tacos. Chicken fried steak was good at best. Wasn't juicy and highly doubt that is was in house breaded. However, my friends breakfast was said to be delicious. I don't understand why hashbrowns aren't on the menu. Service was good! She was attentive and drinks never went empty before asking if we would like another. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!! I just went here for the first time the other morning and it is AMAZINGGG! I went pretty early (9am) to beat the morning crowd and I was seated right away when I got there. They're menu ha so many tasty things, it was hard to pick only one! I decided on the chicken and waffles and I was not disappointed!!! The chicken was soooo crispy on the outside but at the same time tender and soft on the inside. Probably the best fried chicken I have ever had!! Bloody Mary's we're awesome and breakfast was amazing. Servers were great! They split tip's among the staff so they add a service fee to your bill and explain it on the bill. 5 stars for the service here. The servers were all perfectly nice, prompt, and courteous. 3 stars for the food. We got eggs and 4 kind potatoes which were fine. Can't really mess that up. The French toast was pretty good. A bit crumbly and dry, but also had a nice flavor and I liked the fruit in it. Going along with the opinion of other reviewers, the 16% service fee is annoying and shady. They should be paying their workers more, instead of tricking patrons into paying more for their bill. Overall we ended up tipping 35%. Also note they charge tax on top of the service fee which is weird because that's like taxing on my own tip. They should change how they charge these extras because it's really leaving a bad taste in people's mouths. We still tipped the server around 18% of the original bill because it wasn't her fault their business has shady practices. read more

We had to wait a while to get in (almost an hour), but it was worth the wait. Everyone loved the dish they got. When I see a fried chicken sandwich on a menu I am immediately drawn to it. This sandwich did not disappoint. Every component was perfect. The chicken was extremely crispy and juicy. The cheese was cooked on the flat top so it was crispy as well, and had crumbled bacon in it. The cabbage was a great addition for some lightness and crunch. Even the bun was great, soft yet crisp. And what tied it all together was the sriracha aioli. All together an awesome dish. Other dishes in our group included the chicken and waffles (same chicken as the sandwich). On the verde bowl the pork was perfectly cooked, the sauce was delicious, and it was a very good dish overall. Then there was the Irish benedict. It's not plated like traditionally at all. A big slice of grilled sourdough bread for the base, then sauerkraut, lots of corned beef, a beer cheese sauce, and eggs. It was the perfect dish for my dad. read more

If you are grabbing brunch on the weekend and you are in rush, this place is not for you. It took me about an hour to get seated and get food I ordered. This place does not have parking lot so street parking is required. The restaurant was located in very convenient area (near the downtown) and it was very clean, and spacious inside. This place does get packed during the peak brunch hours and I saw a lot of people waiting for their food. So I guess either kitchen was understaffed or they work a little slow. I got a Tamale Waffle (b/c it was most popular on yelp!) and tater tots on the side. Everything was perfectly cooked except the beef was a little too salty in my opinion. If you like spicy food and would want a stronger "kick", ask for their habanero sauce! It definitely adds more flavor to your food. price was very reasonable ($12.5 for my meal, $3 for OJ, $3 side dishes) and I would say food was good as well.
