I was concerned about going with a contractor I hadn't met on my own. Not only was Dan pleasant to deal with, but he was able to meet me very quickly for a quote, give me the exact Rheem Tankless Water Heater I wanted in the timeframe I wanted, and out of the 4 quotes I had received, he was the lowest by a few hundred dollars. The morning of the Install, I met his brother, Joe, who was very respectful of my house, insisting on going the long way around to avoid going across my rug. At one point, I had expressed concern about the location of the water heater being so close to the HVAC, but in the end, it actually turned out saving a lot of space (see pics). Dan stopped by to check on the job and update me that two other members of his crew would be by to do the gas line and remove the old water heater. Mike led the gas line Install. He was very professional and explained the operation of the unit. The whole job was neat and Joe even reinforced the older piping and insulated it. I couldn't be happier with my new water heater. The only blip that I didn't expect was that I had to run my own power source to the water heater in order to avoid using an extension cord. This had been included in the other quotes I had received, but they were also much more expensive, so I really can't complain. After the job was completed, weeks later, Dan helped me qualify for a National Grid rebate when they were giving me trouble submitting it. I would use Rocky Point Mechanical again in a heartbeat and definitely recommend them!!!

They didn't always show when they say they will and then I caught them lying to the reason why they were a no show while we waited for them. It's a business that is over stressed and over worked. Tommy and Joe came to remove my waste line so a basement repair company could repair a collapsing wall. They removed all the piping in one day with only one weeks notice. The basement wall repair was completed the next day, and then the plumbing was completed on the third day. They also came to install a slop sink for my washer and a full home water filtration system with second faucet. All of this was completed in three days. Chris Tirman, the owner, came and gave me a price of $2500 to rip out and replace the shower pan. Chris completed the repair in October of 2021, and I paid him. He suggested that I wait to use the shower until everything had dried. After five days, I used the shower. While using the shower, I noticed that water was pooling on the floor because the floor was not pitched correctly. I called him to let him know that the shower had standing water after I used it. Eventually, he returned and checked it out. He agreed that there was a problem and he would be back to fix it. After many months of calls to him with little or no response, I called him to let him know I would be taking him to Small Claims Court as his work was defective. In August of 2022, I was issued a judgement against Mr Tirman and Shine Bight Plumbing and Heating in the amount of $2500 through the Brookhaven Town Small Claims Court in Patchogue, NY. Unfortunately, Mr Tirman has refused to pay that claim. My suggestion is that you choose another plumber to fix any problems you may have with your plumbing issues.

He did a great job installing water lines to an outdoor shower location as well as installed a slop sync with sump pump in our basement. The pricing was very fair and the work was done efficiently. Recently we upgraded our Gas Dryer. I stupidly paid for installation of the gas line by Home Depot and they sent techs who did not do the job well at all and left me with a gas leak. I was able to text Chris about the problem and within an hour he was here to fix the shotty work of the installers. I should have just utilized him to begin with. Chris is now our go to plumber for anything water or gas in our home. I've seen through social media that he is also taking on some really impressive projects an is forward thinking around new types of plumbing technologies.
