I can't recommend this spot enough, I'm a car guy and even though I don't live in LA. Any longer if anyone needs a rec on the west side I send them here These guys know what's up I've had two cherokees and a suburban worked on here And the suburban is still my daily I know my rig is in good hands New or classic or anything else

This place is just straight up discriminatory and predatory. If they can get away with it, they will. I needed a jump right outside their store and they charged me $20 for the Mobil jumper and they "only take cash." One employee told me he was too busy to do it and then told me that I'm not allowed to ask the other 2 employees because I'm not allowed in the store and have to wait till someone comes out even tho they have an entire office for payment so I did then that employee that came told me it'll be 20 cash because they don't take card then told me I can go three blocks away and get cash if I needed but they will be close when I come back They are extremely racist and classist. They lied to me 4 times to get me to go away then followed me to my place of work to harass me because I took a picture of their signs saying they take card but told me they only take cash. I have video evidence on our work cameras. They do bad business and over charge if they feel they can get away with it.

Went to get my breaks changed, and although the job was a little bigger than originally thought, the mechanics here were kind and understanding. Had it fixed in two hours while I popped down to Starbucks a mere 15 mins walk away. On top of all of that, pointed out a small thing wrong with my engine and quoted me a very competitive price to fix it. Kind, Understanding and efficient. You honestly can't ask for more from a good mechanic.

Check engine light is still on and the car keeps stalling.

I called to see if they could repair my tire. I had a flat tire from a screw when I walked into my garage that afternoon. They told me to wait until 4:30 when they wouldn't be as busy. I came around 5pm and they got to me right away! Super quick efficient and knowledgeable. They plugged my tire, switched it back with the spare, AND made sure my tire pressure was correct on all 5 jeep tires. I will definitely be back for an oil change or anymore tire problems in the future! read more

i'll start my review of bruno's auto repair, which i had been using for a few years, by referring to the other local car repair shops that were total rip offs. all had 5 star ratings too numerous to count. bruno's had obviously had an emergency, and wasn't open on the monday i pulled in for service (that had never happened before or since). i waited for an hour but with no way to contact them and needing service that day (company coming in the following day), i drove down the street to another shop (looking at you high tech auto...read my review of them). they proceeded to rip me off for over $1000 worth of repairs i didn't need. i learned my lesson to not trust any of the other shops who looked at this woman and saw only $$$ signs. bruno's is honest, very fair on their prices (usually less than what others are charging), and fast. unlike those 3 other shops, they never tried to sell me a service or part that i didn't need. they're great people too. treat people with the respect that they deserve, and you'll get it back. that's all i have to say in regards to some of the other reviewers. what more would you want in a repair shop? read more

I ran into a curb and punctured my tire which immediately went flat. It was just after 6:00 p.m. and most places are closed. Desperate to find a place still open that was close by, I did a Google search & came across Bruno's Auto service. I called them and a very pleasant man named Mario answered the phone and told me to come on by and he'll take a look. I found him to be very pleasant, straightforward and honest. He told me he would order the tire the next morning and call me as soon as it is delivered. He put my spare donut tire on my car for me so I can go home for the evening. The next day he called me by noon & I got my new tire on by 1:00 p.m. I would happily do business with Mario again and highly recommend Bruno's Auto Service. read more

Came in to get some things replaced. I was quickly serviced and with a very fair price on my opinion. This auto body was recommended by the near by O'Reily's Auto Parts and the guys here were very nice. They were doing bigger restorations on other vehicles and still were able to make me a priority! They charged more than $800 and fixed the wrong thing. Kind of like going to a dentist for a tooth filling and waking up to find they filled the wrong tooth!!! Be very careful and make sure you understand the repair AND THAT THE REPAIR WILL FIX WHAT YOU WANT FIXED. They refused to make it right. read more

I had my water pump replaced here, it was a recommendation from O'Rielys down the st. My final bill was $100 less then the quote I received from another shop and he didn't charge me for labor on a belt that he replaced. read more

i was recommended to go to Bruno's by one of the guys at O'Reilly. I have an older Toyota RAV4 that needed several repairs. Mario took care of it and was the best! My car is running better than it has in years! And the original repair price went down in the end!! That has never happened to me before!!! read more

I needed to find a mechanic within walking distance, open on Sundays and trustworthy. I have used Bruno's twice for brake repairs and am very happy thus far and will be using them for more needed repairs. Basillo took the time to answer all of my questions and they emailed me an estimate for repairs in order of priority. Their prices are very reasonable and they work efficiently. I feel I am in competent hands and won't be taken advantage of and highly recommended their services! read more

This place is horrible please use a different mechanic!! They completely robbed me and didn't even give me a real receipt, they gave me an estimate as a receipt which I'm reporting to authorities, and they wanted to charge extra if I paid by credit. I spent $2900 to fix my Audi and it still has the check engine light on and I have the same problem I took it in for. Also they removed the Audi symbol off the engine and said they couldn't find it and have not replaced it. I've contacted the mechanic who fixed it Basillio who states he is the owner and he doesn't even return my calls even though he said it had a one-year warranty. Please Beware...go somewhere else this shop is not trustworthy. Zero stars. read more

This place is pretty horrid. Every time I try to get something fixed, the workers act like there is a long wait! Just tried to see if Bruno's can check my car as I thought there was an oil leakage and they told me its 80 dollars to check it out. The worker was super rude per usual and told me that time is money and nothing in this world is free. I understand that but before I am going to pay that much I would rather have them see what is wrong with my car! This is the last time I will be going to Bruno's for any car help! read more

A friend recommended the shop next door to get my windows tinted. I went over to Bruno's to ask about some other work I needed done, and they gave me a quote that was about half of what the Honda service center quoted me. I was able to bring my car in the next day and they finished the work in just a few hours. I've since taken my car there for 3 more small jobs including repairs and minor engine/body mods. Mario is super helpful and I will be taking my car there for any other needs it has. read more

Mario and Basillio are two of the most honest, fair, and hard working mechanics I've come in contact with. Seriously, drive by at night when all the other body shops are closed, and you will see these guys are still at it. They're completely transparent with everything they do, and will try to get you the best deal they can. No hidden costs. Great service and great workmanship. I highly recommend this spot. read more

Mario and Basillio are two of the best in the business in my opinion. I was referred to them by a gracious tow truck driver from AAA. The starter on my BMW X3 went out this past weekend and my car was towed to their repair shop. Basillio was gracious enough to keep the shop open for me to drop my car off even though it was after business hours, i was treated with kindness and respect but most importantly i never felt like i was being taken advantage of. I was only out of a car for a day and a half, the shop stayed in contact with me the whole time letting me know the status of my car and i was quoted a fair and reasonable price for the repairs. I am beyond pleased with their work and will definitely be using them again in the future. read more

I am thrilled to have found Bruno's. I drive a 2013 Audi -- Audi service prices are INSANE - now that my car is out of warranty I will avoid the dealership and do all my service at Bruno's. I was hesitant to leave the dealership at first, but not anymore. Mario knows his stuff and will only do the work that is needed -- I gave him the service interval check list, and after their inspection he told me I didn't need all the work done that was listed. Given them a shot, you'll save a lot of money and work with pleasant guys too! read more

I was looking for a clutch repair job on my Toyota Celica front wheel drive (which means it's the…read moreexpensive kind of clutch repair that involves removing the transmission). I looked around and got quite a few estimates that were all pretty steep. I drove by this car repair park (where there are stalls for each type of work being done) and I saw one that said "Transmission" so I figured I'll get an estimate. I find Juan working on a couple of other cars, but he stops to talk to me and I tell him what I've got and he gives me a quote pretty much instantly (almost too fast -- so I reminded him that this was a front wheel drive and he assured me his estimate was sound...) He's clearly done this work a few times so I didn't question whether he knew his business. So at that point, I figured if he's gonna give me that good of a good deal and he's working on other cars, I'm gonna give him a shot (and we decided I would bring my car in on Wednesday). Not only did he do the work as promised but he even did something else that I was going to ask for but forgot to mention (I wanted the engine seal replaced if it was leaking and Juan noticed that it was and he replaced it for no extra charge beyond the part cost). He also noticed another minor issue but said I could wait to get it repaired if I wanted (no high pressure up-sell to other services, just a heads up as to what he saw). Juan also tends to come in a little later than most mechanics would start a typical day, but he also works later than most as well so it can be helpful if you can't get off work early, there's a pretty good chance he's still working into the evening... And if you do happen to show up early in the day to drop off your car, you can just leave your keys with attendants at the front office (which is what I did). I have to admit, I was a little nervous dropping off my car having only spoken to Juan for about a minute before deciding to have him do the work, but I have to say, he did a great job and he even reset the digital clock on my car after reconnecting the battery... That's class... The price was exactly as he quoted. Nice work Juan, I'd bring my car back to you any time! Also, the photo associated with this business shows a SMOG CHECK sign which just happens to be one of the other stalls at Lincoln Auto Center. I attempted to have my car smog checked at the same time as my clutch repair, but oddly enough, the smog check guy doesn't handle manual transmissions for some reason. Just thought I'd add that in case someone was thinking of doing the same thing (and has a manual transmission)...

I brought in my 1980s Mercedes 300 SD after a parking ramp hit the underside of my car and caused a loud noise. I asked Malibu Motors to lift the car, check for any damage underneath, and figure out what was causing the noise. From the beginning, they took the job seriously. Within minutes of driving the car, they noticed my carburetor was loose, which was contributing to the sound--something my previous mechanic (Stuttgart Auto) had never caught, despite working on the car for years. By the next day, they had the car on the lift and found the real issue: the exhaust had been bent from underneath and was hitting the axle. It was obvious once they actually looked. They repaired everything--including replacing the carburetor brackets--for just under $400, with no upsell, no pressure, and full transparency. They explained everything clearly, worked efficiently, and genuinely cared about getting it right. They've been doing this for years and clearly know what they're doing, especially with classic Mercedes. Instead, he fixed both and told me to come back and pay the other half next week. He didn't have to do that but he genuinely cared about my safety driving and he knew my situation. One of my cars was 6,000 miles shy of 400,000 when it died and I attribute that to Darwin helping me affordably keep it running for as long as possible. Only con would be that he's pretty busy! I went to Santa Monica to ride my bike along the beach and on my way there I experienced some truck problems. I found Bruno's Auto Service and had Mr. Basilio check it out. Mr. Basilio found that it was my alternator and had a new one in my truck within a few hours. Great service. I had a few things that went wrong w/my 2004 Infiniti...high pressure hose and pump for the power steering went out and I required body work to my car. Mario...made me a believer.
