They told me that I had to replace the pump and the rack & pinion because they claimed that's where the leak was. It would've cost me $2400. It didn't sit right with me so I told them I would think about it and took my car, and paid for the inspection fee they failed to mentioned! I was surprised by that, but I paid it regardless. I took my car to another mechanic my friend recommended to get a second opinion. It turns out, the leak was happening at the hoses and I only needed to replace that! I was so glad I took it to another mechanic. These guys at AutoMed are liars and crooks. They insisted it was the pump and rack & pinion when it was the hose that needed replacing. Never going to them again. It surprises me how these guys managed to get over 4 star rating.

My waterpump was replaced, and despite the receipt showing it was an Audi part, it was actually a shi tty aftermarket part. Now I'm having to pay to replace it again with a genuine Audi part. Additionally, the alleged that they replaced the oil pan gasket and it either wasn't done correctly. Or they used the wrong type of sealant because that also needs to be replaced. Avoid coming here.

Avo's old fashioned personality makes you want to sit and hang out with him for hours on end while Tony is fixing your car. Jennifer is patient and humble. Tony doesn't mind when you interrupt his work to ask him about how engines work. Prices are transparent and much more than fair (I could say a lot more to this but I won't, just go see for yourself). They made my broken Mitsubishi Lancer work long enough for me to buy a new car, then they inspected my new car and made sure I didn't get screwed by the dealership. Their process seemed a little too good to be true. After getting various quotes from a range of others, the price was all over the place from too cheap to extraordinarily expensive. Dr. Wheel is on the lower side of the equation. The other thing, they come to your house. Say what? Got me wondering how solid of a repair we were looking at. Well, once I dug into the process, saw that the work is warranted for a year, I figured I'd give them a shot. First, we had them do two aftermarket wheels which relatively minor damage. The result was pretty incredible. The wheels looked good as new and honestly, I couldn't remember where the blemishes were . Months later the wheels looked great. Today, we got four wheels on my wife's car done, all with curb rash to a varying degree and the result was great. The challenge today wasn't the damage, it actually wasn't super complex or extensive. It was the color. From the factory, the color is pretty unique, but the Dr. Wheel team got it pretty much exactly. A special shout out to Jonathan, who came out to our house twice and did a great job. Friendly, professional, thorough, and just an all around solid dude. Not that I hope to get more curb rash on any of our wheels (nor do I wish that for you!), but if we do, we will definitely go back to them. We've already referred them to a few neighbors.

It wasn't inexpensive but the repair was what was necessary and we are hole hoof on any further suspension repairs -Larry advised me to wait and see rather than try to charge me for something I didn't need. I bought a used prius on CL, and shortly after the steering wheel started to freeze up and give me issues. I checked online and saw that this is a common issue with Prius and Toyota has done a poor recall in the past, and that's the reason why the issue still exist! Anyways, Toyota in Culver City quoted me 3100 dollars for the labor and parts, and gave me 12 months warranty on the part. I took the car to Pacific Automotive, they quoted less than 1000 dollars for the same job, INCLUDING 3 year factory warranty on the part!! 5/5 easy, no brainer! read more

It's hard for me to trust people, but the moment i walked into this place i knew these were honest people. I had an issue with my car that several places hand't been able to fix. A friend of mine suggested this place. Francisco was very kind and reasonable. He proceeded to do a FREE diagnose, and was able to address the problem shortly after. I was able to fix the issue for a fraction of what other places had charged me. This is the best auto repair in town, professional, honest, and reasonable on their prices!! Do not service your car here. I would absolutely questions these scum bag's morals. This business really screws over the people who live in the neighborhood's parking. This block has very little street parking as it is and 80% of the street is full of their cars. They will keep parking spots for weeks at a time, occasionally rotating in new arriving cars. read more

I was advised by my brother in law to visit this place, and I have never been more satisfied having my car fixed. My 1999 Toyota Camry engine was rebuilt here and runs like a new car. Walid has done it again. I took my car again to get it looked at because there was a horrible noise…read morethat got progressively worse over the course of a month. At first I heard a scraping noise only when braking, but then it turned into a squealing AND scraping noise while braking, all the way into a squealing noise when driving in general plus the braking noises! You could literally hear me coming down the street. Walid and his team checked it out and fixed my car up with new brakes and rotors for the rear axle, which were the culprits of the noise. And of course at an amazing price too. No more scary noises!! Walid still is the most honest and affordable mechanic I have found!!

The guys that work there are really nice and I got a good price on my tires. They had them in stock. I don't have a vintage car, but I saw quite a few there being worked on and they are beautiful so I guess if you have one give them a try. Parking is easy. The place is as clean as they can keep it. I really love the service and that is what matters to me, even more than the price. They also do body work and repair. I went their 2 years ago for my stupid check engine light and they were able to take care of it while I waited. You won't get ripped off here, so try them.

Never again. They will take care of everything for me from now on. My a/c stopped blowing cold air immediately (literally within minutes) after a trip to a chain oil service location. I went back to the chain, and they said there was nothing askew, but I needed an independent party to check under the hood for any visible signs of something gone wrong. I went to the shop by my home and asked for help. The 2 guys offered me an appointment the next morning for $446.50 at a rate of $235/hour for diagnostics. Just to look would be close to $500. That didn't include any repair that may need to be done. I was panicked since I have a very, very old car not worth much anymore. Today, I went to WPA and explained the situation. Not only did Gaby and Brian understand my concern and predicament, but they did a full evaluation of the issue on the spot without charge and then offered a potential solution, explaining very clearly it had a 50/50 shot. That bill would be $295, all in. She also priced out for me what replacement parts would cost and completely understood why $2700 was untenable for a car probably not worth much more than that at this point. She gave me no pressure and no guilt. I gave the ok for the trial fix, but unfortunately, it didn't work. Gaby dropped the rate even further as a courtesy. I often worry car repair shops will try to take advantage of my lack of knowledge, but I never have that concern with Javier and his team. They are honest and fair, and today, they showed once again why they're the best. Today was the sign that it's finally time to find a new car, and when I do, I will never take that one anywhere in LA but WPA.

I brought my vehicle in after reading the code on my own scanner. I clearly communicated the code, the symptoms, and the likely cause to the shop at drop-off around 8am. At that time, the check engine light was no longer on, which I also explained to the young guy. Despite this, no one contacted me or my fiancé for authorization before beginning repairs. I only learned that the thermostat was already being replaced when I called around 3 pm for an update. At that point, I was told the work had already started and given a final bill. It seemed inflated so I asked for a break down and sure enough, it definitely was for the level of service and experience. While I understand shop markups, I do not understand proceeding with repairs without customer approval or a clear estimate beforehand. For the labor rate charged, I expected a higher level of professionalism, communication, and attention to detail. The thermostat replacement may have resolved the issue, but the overall experience was disappointing. The shop did call earlier to say there was no active code and no check engine light; however, work was later started without clearly confirming authorization or providing an updated estimate. Additionally, while the thermostat was replaced, there was no discussion or recommendation to replace the coolant temperature sensor, even though it is inexpensive and commonly replaced at the same time to prevent another issue later. When I asked afterward, I was told there was "no need," despite the component being the same age and the vehicle already being serviced. Overall, the experience felt rushed and transactional rather than careful or expert-driven. The receptionist's tone came across as defensive instead of informative. Better communication and attention to detail would go a long way for the younger staff to earn the level of respect Javier clearly has built over decades. I hope this feedback helps the younger, inexperienced staff improve communication and customer transparency going forward.

Looked online and everybody recommended only use Tesla to change your tire due to possible damage to the battery when jacking up the car.
