I was not impressed with their late-night service. First of all, there is a Bruxie Bouncer who is super rude and scolds you that there's a 40 minute wait (despite the inside of the restaurant being empty). It's like they don't want the business... They were out of drinks and ranch (which they charged us extra for). The hot honey chicken was nasty and chewy and ended up making me sick.

Stopped in on a Sunday morning and it was not crowded so able to grab some tables for our group. The employee greeted us at the counter right away and we were able to place our order and get our drinks to sit and catch up with each other. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time with our large order and since it was quiet it gave us good time to chat. All of the food came out hot and prepared as ordered. The eggs were cooked perfectly and I enjoyed the waffle since it was more savory with the breakfast sandwich. My kids both loved their fries and sandwiches they ordered. Said the fries were cooked great and had LOTS of toppings. The chicken on the sandwich was also tender and juicy! They really also enjoyed their order. We were visiting the area and wishing we had one in our area as I could see this becoming a go to place.

The chicken and waffles here are a must-try! The chicken had a delicious, distinctive seasoning that stood out from other places. The food was hot and clearly freshly made. The waffles had a satisfying crunch and paired perfectly with the Bruxie syrup. We also ordered 'THE ORIGINAL' to go, which was equally tasty. Unfortunately, we were overcharged $2.05 for the to-go order. The screen displayed $11.45, but we were charged $13.50. We only discovered this upon reviewing our email receipt later. Not sure if there is an upcharge for to-go orders

This place has been on my list for a while now, and I finally had the time to come here for dinner. When I went, it was empty but it took me a while to choose what I wanted. I ended up ordering loaded fries (love loaded fries with a passion) and the nashville hot chicken sandwich. Price is decent for how filling it is, and didn't take too long for it to come out either. The flavor was there!! The fries were crispy, the chicken was crispy and seasoned amazingly, and the ranch was good (we love a good ranch)! The only downside was that I had originally ordered the waffle sandwich but I guess the cashier didn't hear me correctly, or wasn't being attentive enough because I ordered loaded fries and he had put in "side of fries". I've also heard similar instances with the same cashier, so I would just double check your order before paying. Overall, I would definitely come back here for other menu items and the loaded fries despite the service I got.

Chicken fingers are super tasty and filling. Ordered the 10 tender pack for family of 5 and it was enough. Sauces are awesome. Nashville hot is my favorite.

This is a really fun and unique spot to grab a bite to eat. Enjoyed getting to try a spin on the classic chicken and waffles and found everything to be really fresh and tasty. Would be the perfect spot to grab late night food after a night on the town.

The food at Bruxie is great! It can be quite empty sometime but the atmosphere is great, UGA theme with only one restaurant on the east coast wiht some of the best chicken and waffles you can get. Its quick and easy to order and the service is always great, friendly people. I reccomend the chicken tenders with Bruxie sauce or the lemon curd waffle! read more

I'll start by saying this, I'm kinda picky about my chicken, but my gosh I couldn't believe how good this place was. The chicken's breading was so flavorful with lots of seasoning and was perfectly fried. I had The Original and was very impressed by the quality and size! Really like the waffle wrap idea and it worked very well with the hot honey sauce. I really have no complaints at all, even the strawberry lemonade far exceeded my expectations. The price was a little high but quality was really really good so I didn't mind at all. Definitely plan to come back and try more of the menu in the future. read more

Amazing hot chicken spot that just opened in Athens! Chicken tenders were very juicy and there are different spice levels but all incorporating a honey flavor as well. I've been patiently waiting for Bruxie to open and it did not disappoint! The workers were kind and explained the menu thoroughly. This restaurant is located where Scoville used to be, and I love that they renovated the inside space to be a lot more open. The menu slightly differs from their other locations as they offer lighter bites and several dessert waffle flavors. Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich (limited time flavor): this sandwich includes pickles, coleslaw, and honey mustard. It is usually served on a brioche bun, but I substituted for the waffles at no charge (you can have any sandwich on a waffle or a bun). The chicken was crispy, juicy, and seasoned very well. It wasn't spicy and the honey wasn't as prominent as I was expecting, but it was still delicious. The waffles were crispy yet fluffy. Rather than your typical sweet waffles, these are buttery and savory. They also gave me a generous amount of coleslaw, and it was very flavorful. I recommend checking out this place, and I hope it will do well! read more

tried Bruxie for the first time at this location. the staff was awesome and the food was terrific. One of the most nauseating meals I've ever had. Ordered the original, just a chicken in a waffle with coleslaw and syrup. Golly. The chicken breading tasted so strange and confusing, and combined with the type of coleslaw and syrup, vile. So expensive for something like this is saddening. I don't want to go again. I went to Bruxie this weekend and it was an amazing experience! My girlfriend and I got lunch and the cashier was very attentive and kind. Our food came within 10 mins, which was excellent! We both got 2 tenders with fries and were concerned about it being enough food. It was more than enough and even had left overs. Best fried chicken in Athens! I grew up in Nashville although now I live in Scottsdale. I wait to eat fried chicken when I visit the south, and this may be the best fried chicken I've ever had! I think it's the best dish they serve, and I order it every time when I'm in town in Athens once a year. Order this with a fried egg on top and thank me later. Being solo and from out of town, I grabbed an early dinner at the bar upstairs, which is, frankly, a lot nicer than the downstairs dining room. The bone-in pork chop i ordered was very good but not mind blowing, but I enjoyed it along with its accompaniments, those being mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. It appeared they staffed up for Valentine's Day this year. There were three bartenders working the food and drink orders at the bar upstairs. I washed both meals down with sweet tea as one does. The service was great. Cheers!
