Honestly I don't really get the hype. Don't get me wrong the service is good the workers are nice but overall the food looks so good but was disappointing both times i went. I think the major thing for me is I wish the waffles came out more warm and fresh. I feel like they came out really hard and stale both times i got it. It felt as if they were sitting under a warmer and they weren't freshly made. I would go here and try it if you've never been but don't go with high hopes. I may try it again soon but overall both times were okay.

First timer at Bruxie and they definitely delivered with their classic Chicken and Waffles. Located on the corner on Ocean Blvd near the pier and Vons is Bruxie. They have a parking lot on site and also plenty of street parking. They also have a lot of covered outdoor seating for large groups. I always drive by this location and it's never too busy, honestly kind of slept on. I got three tenders and the waffle! They hooked it up with a lot of maple syrup sauce for my fries. The waffle was very thick and crispy, only downside was it wasn't too doughy like I like. It was also quite affordable. I will definitely be back, especially it being so close to my apartment.

Before heading out to Catalina Island, we decided to stop by Bruxie for quick bite. I've been to other Bruxie chains in LA & OC, but it was our first time at their LB location. I remember this was once Chronic Tacos and now Bruxie. The restaurant is small, and they've added an enclosed patio which is nice and clean...same with bathrooms. The parking lot is tiny, but you can park on the street and across the street at Vons. We enjoyed chicken and waffles that we ordered. The chicken was crisp and tender, waffle was on point. Vermont Maple Syrup was the perfect combination. First time having breakfast burrito at Bruxie and it was delicious. Crispy tater tots on anything always seem to work...yum! Waffle fries were good too. Always great experience at Bruxie. We left full and satisfied. Portions were perfect. Helpful and friendly staff.

Got the classic chicken waffle sandwich. It was very tasty. Also got the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. Everything was tasty and big portions. Good came out pretty fast and the cashier was helpful when trying to figure out what to order. There wasn't many people here when we arrived but others arrived after. Seems like service is pretty quick. They have a small space to sit inside and a pretty big patio are which is where we sat.

I originally had bruxie for the first time in OC so it was a nice surprise to find them in Long Beach! They did not disappoint. The Long Beach location has a very cute art on their wall that screams Long Beach. I love it. The interior is super cute and spacious. Since the patio is covered, it's great for the pup too! The waffles are light and crispy. The waffles themselves aren't too sweet so it pairs well with either sweet or savory options. The lemon and berries were soooo good and the egg and patty one was a great salty pairing. The strawberry lemonade is always delicious. I will probably be visiting from time to time!

It's taken me a minute to try this place but I'm glad I finally did. Made a togo order for the Nashville hot chicken Sandwich and spicy tots. It was way better than I expected. It was still good when I got home, not mushy at all. The spice was just right. The spicy tots super crispy but could use a little more spice. This is a repeater for sure!

So good and for the price it was a good deal. I had the sausage & egg waffle sandwich, dipped with maple syrup. Orange juice to drink. Definitely will go back, I really liked the back patio seating. And service was good, staff was very nice. Highly recommend.

Bruxie has good chicken tenders and excellent waffle fries. There was a DoorDash BOGO deal for $20, which included (2) 3 jumbo tenders meals. The Stone Ground Honey Mustard was very delicious. The tenders were large and the fries were crispy. I appreciated how the to-go boxes had holes, so the food didn't get soggy. I would like to try their waffle and breakfast burritos.

I always like going to Bruxie and ordering their waffles. I don't get the waffle sandwiches because I feel $13 is kind of steep. It would make more sense if they offered it as a big salad with waffle croutons instead. Anyway, this location has a very tiny parking lot, but there's plenty of street parking. However, I did go during off-peak hours.... Inside, is tiny, but their dining area is bigger. Although, you're inside, it's technically outside where you're out in the elements. I went on a chilly day and I had to quickly eat my waffle before it hardened from being out in the cold. Service is good! Restrooms are clean.

Food : 10/10!! I miss bruxie and I love how it's a lot closer to home now! The food is still as good as it always has been. I always get the original sandwich there and it never disappoints! The desserts are also delicious! So recently I've tried the crème brûlée dessert waffle, the chocolate chip, and the Nutella with strawberries. It's all been delicious!! The crème brûlée is a 10/10. The chocolate chip waffle was I'd say a 6/10, it's just a waffle with chocolate syrup and whip cream, something pretty basic. But the waffle is extremely fluffy! The Nutella was also a 10/10! Service : they are very fast, friendly and efficient Ambiance: the place is spacious with indoor and outdoor seating. Parking can be a struggle, but there's a vons across the street with lots of parking! read more

I have been going to Bruxie's for their lemon cream & berries sweet waffle sandwich for maybe 7 years now. It's simply AMAZING. The Huntington Beach location used to be my go to but I was so happy when Long Beach opened one!!! Service is good and there's a lot of seating options at this location. Stumbled upon this place after I was recommended by a friend, boy did I stumble on the right place! Upon first going in, the service from Monet was beyond amazing! The staff is so nice! And the food...omg The chicken was succulent, the waffles were just the right texture and the sauce situation was on point! Plus, Long Beach vibe ringing through the whole place? Service Flavor SPICED TOTS & KICKIN' "NASHVILLE" HOT Overall great experience and the chicken was amazing, but the waffles could use a little work it was falling apart because it was to crunchy and not thick enough. My kids and I decided that we wanted some chicken and waffles. Omg let me tell you! It was soooo delicious. The waffles was crispy and the chicken was flavorful. What are you doing if you're not bringing your pup here on your day off for some chicken and waffles? My heart was so happy to learn there was a Bruxie down the street from me, especially after I could no longer order delivery from Roscoe's. Waffle- chefs kiss Tots- immaculate Strawberry lemonade - best in the city And like u are literally on the beach and they have free parking too!! All I can say is the customer service and food were bomb. The manager checked on us, we got sauces on the house and we ate every drop and crumb. I couldn't even take photos because I ate everything. Will be back. Oh and el segundo...you guys are nice but Long Beach was just...better! We will def be back. Glad we gave Bruxie a second chance. Eat here. Don't think about it. Just do it. We picked up some chicken fingers to go here and boy oh boy did we love them! I am not a fan of chicken fingers (too dry) but these were juicy and tender and delicious. Our first time visiting and it won't be our last with those delicious sauces and the friendliest service I have EVER encountered in a fast-casual place. In town visiting my aunt/uncle that lives down by shoreline. She got us breakfast from this place which consisted of a huge waffle and 2 chkn tenders. The breading on the chkn was so freshly battered and fried. The waffle was so good it was nice soft and a lil crunch on the edges. So this is my son's favorite place to go. He's a college student and whenever he gets a chance, this is what he wants to eat. They give you a lot of food. I'm not gonna go against that. I'm just not as much a waffle kind of person. I did really like the chicken though, I would've got the regular macaroni and cheese next time I got the one that had everything on it and it was a bit spicy. It tasted like buffalo sauce overall great food though. read more

Decided to try this place out since I live close by and let me tell you i will NOT be returning. The young man at the counter was VERY rude and made it seem like I was the bother for ordering food. It wasn't anywhere near closing time either so I am not sure why the hostility. He spoke in a very condescending tone and made it seem like I was unwelcome there He made the whole experience just a drag, the food was great but with the service I got I just felt like a bother being in the restaurant so I took my food to go. Really put a damper on the whole mood. Wish you guys had better staff:( read more

Food was as good as any of their other restaurants, but menu was smaller. The thing I was looking forward to for breakfast when we went was not offered at this particular location. I asked the guy at the counter basically "wt..." and he said he had no idea but ai wasn't the first who had asked for Green Eggs & Ham sandwich. Only thing they didn't have on hand was pesto. I mean really...? That's ownership decision not the guy taking the order. Clean place, outdoor patio was nice. Parking like anything in this area of LB is little to be desired. I went to Bruxie tonight for the first time. I live across the street. Here's what I know. Long Beach hosts a marathon (and half marathon) every year. Bruxie had just opened. I saw (my balcony looks at ocean blvd) a gentleman from Bruxie (owner? Idk for sure) running water and food continuously throughout the race. It warmed my heart to see that. Two.. I'm embarrassed to say this but I just went there for the first time tonight. First off, whoever was working at the register at about 4:30p.. you are amazing. Thank you for being so friendly and offering me a custard sample. I hate you for that and I love you for it at the same time. I hope your life is filled with beautiful, heartwarming memories. Secondly, the chicken strips I had were .. kinda great. The chicken, the dipping sauce.. oof. It's a good thing I waited this long to go. This place is going to bankrupt me. Great food. I've been to the ones in El Segundo, Orange, and Santa Monica and they're all excellent but this one was just okay at best. I went in last night and the staff seemed to be not very friendly. Both the waffle and the chicken seemed to taste better at the El Segundo location too. Also I found what appeared to be a very thin piece of hair or a really long piece of lint in my waffle. I'll just drive to a different location next time. read more

I swear it looks better in person and it's huge. First I want to say the service is superb, I haven't had service this great in while and I'll come back just for that. The place is super cute and there's lots of space indoor or outdoor. Very clean as well. My Search is Over. I've tried many chicken and waffle houses throughout the area and Los Angeles. This by far is the best. The staff is very professional. Food came out quickly and it was nice and hot. It was so good I had breakfast there back to back days. The place was nice and clean and very inviting. Super happy when this opened that I purposely scheduled brunch for my bike riders group. I must say, I am still dreaming about their food. Mmmm. Just don't run your eyes after eating their spicy chicken sandwich. Not only will your mouth be burning, so will your eyes. But if you do, just ask for a tiny little bit of milk and pour it in your eye. lol. It worked indeed. Their service is remarkable although their "ordering area" can get crowded but maybe because when I went it was opening weekend. I can also imagine that the dining room could be packed but we went at 10:30 am and found a long table to fit all of us. So if you are going with a bunch of people, go early. If you are biking on the path, it's easy to get to. There's a few parking spots so if you drive, might need to circle around a bit or park on the beach lot and walk up. read more

Waffle mania, pure and simple. First off: they had parking in the property. Then there was the menu - I couldn't decide between dessert for dinner or chicken. I settled on the basic chicken and waffle with coleslaw as my side. The dog wholeheartedly agreed. We exited to the covered patio, cheery music and well lit. Boomer had the water bowl to open with. Soon my dinner was set before me, the mouthwatering began. Do you think I'm kidding? Did you have her have one of those moments where your mouth starts to drip because everything looks so delicious? Then you will understand. Boomer even got a cup full of tiny treats which he ate one by one, savoring them all. (Who am I kidding, he snarfed them!) the chicken was tender, juicy, battered goodness, the perfect fried chicken served in a waffle bent like a taco shell. The coleslaw was perfect, crunchy and sweet. The waffle was the perfect lightness, not too heavy, not too thin. They know what they're doing when it comes to the waffle. I'm glad I didn't order dessert because I could not have finished it. However, I will be back and take a walk through the desert menu. The best part, for me, was a short walk to the end of the Belmont pier after dinner to let it all settle. It was a perfect warm night, and it really is about their location. Don't hesitate if you haven't been, Bruxie, you deserve to treat yourself! read more

I was glad to hear that they were coming to Long Beach. I discovered this place back in 2013-2014 in Chino Hills, and have gone to a number of their locations. Before Long Beach, I'd drive to Orange. I've had two visits here and the first was good, but the second wasn't as positive. The chicken was good but I noticed they made the pieces bigger. Meh....I like the size of the previous strips. The fries were either overcooked or old. My son who had his food delivered, has had all negative experiences. He doesn't get the food he ordered or fries have been old. The location is clean and service is good. I want to give this location a chance and hopefully things will improve. If not, I'll make the drive to Orange. read more

First timers here!!!.... And bruxie's did not disappoint!! As soon as we walked in Jerry greeted us. He helped us ordering our food and man oh man!! Jerry knows what he's talking about. We ordered the Holy chicken waffle sandwich man gotta say that's bruxie's holy grail, all other waffle places I've been to smh bruxie's just dropped the mic!! lol we also ordered just the regular chicken waffle and it's also amazing! The line looks long outside, as there are no reservations, but it moves quickly since they hold everybody to a pretty strict 2-hour time limit. The drinks are good, the cups are cute, and everyone is festive. It's an all-around fun experience. I think because of this, you do pay a premium price tag for food and drinks that are just good or okay. I think it's something that is worth the visit if you've never been and you enjoy getting into the Christmas spirit. I think that outside of the pop-up, The Ordinarie is a fun spot to check out in Long Beach. It't not a pillar of the food scene if you're a tourist, but it is a good, late night spot if you work in the industry nearby. They have a great late-night menu with a killer smash burger.

I had difficulty cutting through the crust with a knife. There is a lot of cayenne in their hollandaise sauce, not my favorite version. The thick slice of tomato was the highlight. Side of bacon $6 for two measly pieces - overcooked and too crunchy. I could tell the bacon would have been good if it was more on the meaty/chewy side. This came with a potato pancake which was like mashed potatoes mixed with cheese and then fried. Service was okay, I think because it was pretty busy. They may need more staff to help the servers with drink refills and to check in more frequently. Lastly, our table was very wobbly and we had to fix it with sugar packets otherwise our drinks would have toppled.

Training can be a little hectic some times when you're in the service industry and sometimes it can slow service down. Our server Ben was on it. We had the grilled artichoke, chicken piccata, and the cioppino. All very very delightful. During our dining experience I needed to use the restroom. The smell in their bathroom was amazing. Probably one of the best smelling restrooms I had ever. When I was leaving, I politely ask the hostess if she knew what the name of the smell was bc it was so awesome. She wasn't telling me the exact name. She essentially told me the essence. While in the middle of her talking, a female manager aggressively told us that they were not aloud to tell patrons the scent. Hey, I get it, but as a person who was a manager for one of the highest ranking upscale casual dining restaurants, who has worked in 5 star resorts, knowing how to provide kindness to both guests and staff, this manager did not present those skills. This manager was quite frankly disrespectful not only to her staff, but to me. There is a way to handle situations without embarrassing your staff member and making them feel small and showcasing your flex of power to a diner who was about to drop hundreds for a dinner in our volatile economy. This manager did NOT handle this appropriately. Like i said, she was rude, extremely aggressive to respond, and not once smiled and said, "I'm so glad you love it. It's our secret to get you to come back." She did try to say it was a secret, but seriously... with the way she treated her staff.... I think she better focus on hospitality rather than the scent in the bathroom. After this interaction, I actually watched and observed the manager during the remaining time of our dinner. I wanted to see how she interacted with her staff. I wanted to see if she knew how to manage without flexing on her staff bc obviously she doesn't know that words matter and what you say and how you say it can make or break your staff's entire night which can reflect on how they treat their guests. I get this is lengthy over a restroom scent, but as a person who thrives on seeing the beauty in how a management team can make a huge impact on the success of a company, if she's openly rude and aggressive to me and her hostess, how is she with the rest of the staff and guests? Just a little food for thought. I will say, that interaction totally changed my view for the remaining time of our dinner. I truly hope that the female manager who was working last night June 1 reads this and changes the way she handles situations. From what I saw and experienced, she needs to take a step back and regroup. She needs to be retrained on how to treat her staff, how to smile with kindness, and how to kindly make a joke about the scent kindly with laughter rather than an attack on her staff. To the hostess: I'm sorry you had to be treated that way. You were incredibly kind from upon greeting us even to the very end. You're awesome. I'll return back, but I do hope next time, the manager from last night is on a better wave length as the people who help create her position. There are a lot of great managers out there willing to take that place.

I question whether the place was conforming to occupancy requirements. As for the pizza. I ordered a 18" pepperoni, with sausage, mushrooms, and black olives. Mooney's pizza stood up to it reputation. I found it delicious. The tomato sauce, while a bit sparse IMO, was a little spicy which I liked a lot. Eating in at a pizza place is always better than take out as the cardboard box gets steamed up and the pizza can get rubbery and lose its crispness. That aside, the portions were huge and we had lots of leftovers. I reheated a piece on the rack of my little Emeril LaGazzi oven the next day (on Air Fry) for a few minutes and it was crisp and yummy.

Before I knew it, I had waltzed through their doors, breaking my fast with the enthusiasm of a kid sneaking into a candy store. I was immediately greeted by a beaming smile and the intoxicating aroma of waffles and fried chicken. It was as if the universe itself had orchestrated this moment of indulgence. The covered patio was an oasis, with fans gently swirling warm air in every direction, creating an ambiance that felt both comforting and indulgent. I settled in, savoring a strawberry Arnold Palmer that was more than just a drink--it was an experience. The service was top-notch, and I was pleasantly surprised to find the bathrooms spotless and charmingly tiled, a detail I attribute to my HGTV addiction. As for the food, it was nothing short of spectacular. The chicken was of such high quality that I half-expected it to recite Shakespeare. The honey mustard sauce, with its perfect blend of sweet and tangy, was the star of the show. But don't worry, they offer a whole smorgasbord of in-house sauces, each more tempting than the last. We arrived at Bruxie about 30 minutes after they opened. While the restaurant was empty, it was clear they had many pick-up orders. The interior was charming, but we opted to sit on the patio for some fresh air. The patio was enclosed, spacious, and clean. We ordered waffle sandwiches and fresh orange juice. The orange juice was delicious, and our food arrived promptly. The food was incredibly flavorful and delicious. Despite not looking like a lot, it was quite heavy and greasy, making it perfect for sharing. I love Bruxie so much it's not even funny. I think I love it even more than howlin rays. I can't eat at the usual fried chicken franchises anymore because they're so bad compared to bruxie. Bruxies chciken tenders are so thick and juicy. The breading and seasoning is to die for. The bruxie sauce and ranch is delicious. I don't know what kind of chickens they use and I don't even care what's in it, I need it. Their sweet tea is amazing. Please never leave. Customer service always 10/10. read more
