I will say some of their combos had an insane amount of food like you could seriously feed two people with just one meal. We came on a Sunday morning and it was definitely crowded. Anytime I visit a breakfast place I always order their traditional standard two eggs two sides of meat and potatoes or pancakes. The people were friendly, checked in a couple times with us. It was not bad. The food was just OK. I wouldn't say spectacular by any means. The pancakes are a little bit dry, but I guess for the price point it wasn't too bad $14. I have been to this Potholder a few times over the years and always pleased with the food and service. They do get busy and often there is a wait, especially on weekends. I went on a weekday (Friday) for a mid-day breakfast, no wait, no crowds, nice and peaceful! On Fridays their special is "Fruity" pancakes/waffles. I was craving sweet and savory so I ordered Blueberry pancakes with a side of sausage. Oh my, I forgot how ginormous their pancakes are, AND served three of them for my order! The sausage were also larger patties and a side order consisted of two patties! Yes, I took half of it all to go, but it made for a great breakfast to dinner that night! The pancakes were thick but cooked just right. Loaded with blueberries and served with maple or boysenberry syrup. The sausage patties were grilled and very tasty. Definitely hit my craving for sweet and savory! I took photos of the menu since all the ones posted were years old. Service, as always, was excellent! Tried this place this morning since my wife was looking to try something different. Make sure you show up at 8am or after since they do not open early. So we arrived before opening and had to wait about 10-15 min for them to open. We sat inside and we ordered the Bacon Cheese Burger with curly fries and a club sandwich with fruit on the side. So the Cheese Burger was surprisingly good for it being a smaller patty. The cheese and bacon did all the heavy lifting making this a perfect burger to try. The curly fries were delicious and no extra oil or grease. I think they might of air fried them. I haven't eaten ketchup in about a month. Idk what it is but their ketchup was just a little too sweet for my liking. The club sandwich was delicious. I would just ask for a little more mayo next time. The fruit I would skip. Idk if you ever get fresh fruit and veggies from friends that grow stuff. I do and they have lots of flavor. Unfortunately the fruit here was just tasteless. So didn't eat much of that. The customer experience was excellent and the staff was friendly and fast for having to do everything by herself to the second person came in. The menu is pretty impressive in terms of quantity, which helps if you're not sure what you might be in the mood for. A plethora of omelettes and standard diner fare await. There are plenty of lunch options as well. The restaurant is thankfully in a parking lot with many spaces, though they're shared with the other businesses there. The building itself is interestingly set up half indoor, half outdoor, with the only bathroom being on the outside. Convenient for us patio folks, but maybe not so much the people inside. I've eaten here many times over the last few years and have never been disappointed. It's a casual, no frills, home cooked kind of spot. It's one of those you put in your diner rotation. It's difficult to recommend anything because everything I've tried has been good. But I did recently try for the first time the breakfast kebabs and was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it. It has chunks of French toast, sausage, and fruit and served over eggs. (The sausage is a little greasy though.) There is a large patio in the back and some inside seating. On November 9, 2024, after running some errands, I took my family out for breakfast. I especially wanted my hubby to try this location as I've been here before. The parking lot was quite crowded, and the restaurant was even more so. It made for a wonderful day at the Potholder. We added our names to their waiting list. Within seconds, we were asked if we would prefer to dine outdoors or indoors. We were promptly seated indoors. Within minutes, our beverages were brought to our table. Erika, our server, was very attentive. After we placed our menu orders, we engaged in nostalgic conversations. Erika arrived with our food. I had ordered a patty melt on sourdough bread with curly fries. The carbohydrates were satisfying. A la carte eggs scrambled, two biscuits on the bottom, chicken-fried steak on top, two sunny-side-up eggs, hashbrowns, and two delectable hot chocolates. Erika approached our table and inquired about my husband's meal. He playfully remarked that it was terrible, causing her to halt in her tracks. We all burst into laughter. My patty melt was delectable, bursting with flavor and served on buttered bread. The chicken-fried steak was rated an eight out of ten, but it could have used more gravy. My eggs and potatoes were really good, the bacon was okay but it had a different taste. No "Hey man, so sorry. Come on back and we'll have some BB pancakes ready for you."? And to top it off, they gave me only ONE syrup...for a short stack. Really? Like..give me one syrup if I order ONE pancake. You give me ONE syrup for a short stack? I'd be lucky if I could get a third of my stack smothered in syrup. Needless to say, I threw this shitty breakfast away. So done with this place. I'm not one to Yelp, but this breakfast and shitty customer service really ruined my morning. Won't ever go back. Food is typical not very good diner food, which is fine IF the service was quick and kind. The place is ran by men and you can tell. Felt like we were being held hostage for an HOUR while we waited for our food. No communication from our server, he mainly ignored our presence while we were dining. We got a "discount" for the food being so late: 5 dollars off of a 70 dollar tab.... Honestly an insult. Coming from the service industry myself, I understand things get backed up in the kitchen. No seasoning was used at all and the salt and pepper didn't help so I slathered everything in ketchup which didn't help much either because I'm not a huge fan of ketchup. The eggs were over cooked, the hash browns were more like mashed potatoes, and at least the toast was toasted to perfection. I didn't complain and I was very hungry so I dug in, but half way through I found a hair in my food. As someone who refuses to complain I asked to pay my bill and was offered a box, I told my server about the hair and showed her, she felt awful that this happened and offered to have my food remade. I told her it was fine, I didn't want to complain but just pay my bill. She was very sweet and ensures I was ok with not getting my food redone, of which I insisted it was fine. I hadn't been to the Potholder in a while, and it was fun to be back. We didn't wait too long, maybe 20 minutes for a table on a Saturday morning. The red umbrellas on the back patio make plenty of shade for an enjoyable breakfast. Menu is big, and I usually stick with eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns. They're so good, how can I order anything else? They have a huge 18" pancake that would be fun to share, and Mickey pancakes on the kids menu and you can add fresh fruit on top. Great diner experience. read more

I came here Saturday morning with the intent of finishing their Mac Daddy Frankie, an 18" pancake with a side of 2 eggs and either 2 pieces of bacon or 2 sausages. First off, the customer service here was excellent. I think 3 different people helped me while I was here, all of them friendly and courteous. As soon as my pancake came out I divided it into 6 large pizze type slices. I devoured the first two with no hesitation. The third piece I finished slowly as I got tired of the pancake super quick.. it was just so thick! I only managed to finish half of the pancake and the sides. There was no time limit so I could've just stayed and slowly finished it but I had an 11AM appointment. The food was decent, nothing special, but their customer service makes it all better.
