Honestly I don't really get the hype. Don't get me wrong the service is good the workers are nice but overall the food looks so good but was disappointing both times i went. I think the major thing for me is I wish the waffles came out more warm and fresh. I feel like they came out really hard and stale both times i got it. It felt as if they were sitting under a warmer and they weren't freshly made. I would go here and try it if you've never been but don't go with high hopes. I may try it again soon but overall both times were okay.

First timer at Bruxie and they definitely delivered with their classic Chicken and Waffles. Located on the corner on Ocean Blvd near the pier and Vons is Bruxie. They have a parking lot on site and also plenty of street parking. They also have a lot of covered outdoor seating for large groups. I always drive by this location and it's never too busy, honestly kind of slept on. I got three tenders and the waffle! They hooked it up with a lot of maple syrup sauce for my fries. The waffle was very thick and crispy, only downside was it wasn't too doughy like I like. It was also quite affordable. I will definitely be back, especially it being so close to my apartment.

Before heading out to Catalina Island, we decided to stop by Bruxie for quick bite. I've been to other Bruxie chains in LA & OC, but it was our first time at their LB location. I remember this was once Chronic Tacos and now Bruxie. The restaurant is small, and they've added an enclosed patio which is nice and clean...same with bathrooms. The parking lot is tiny, but you can park on the street and across the street at Vons. We enjoyed chicken and waffles that we ordered. The chicken was crisp and tender, waffle was on point. Vermont Maple Syrup was the perfect combination. First time having breakfast burrito at Bruxie and it was delicious. Crispy tater tots on anything always seem to work...yum! Waffle fries were good too. Always great experience at Bruxie. We left full and satisfied. Portions were perfect. Helpful and friendly staff.

Got the classic chicken waffle sandwich. It was very tasty. Also got the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. Everything was tasty and big portions. Good came out pretty fast and the cashier was helpful when trying to figure out what to order. There wasn't many people here when we arrived but others arrived after. Seems like service is pretty quick. They have a small space to sit inside and a pretty big patio are which is where we sat.

I originally had bruxie for the first time in OC so it was a nice surprise to find them in Long Beach! They did not disappoint. The Long Beach location has a very cute art on their wall that screams Long Beach. I love it. The interior is super cute and spacious. Since the patio is covered, it's great for the pup too! The waffles are light and crispy. The waffles themselves aren't too sweet so it pairs well with either sweet or savory options. The lemon and berries were soooo good and the egg and patty one was a great salty pairing. The strawberry lemonade is always delicious. I will probably be visiting from time to time!

It's taken me a minute to try this place but I'm glad I finally did. Made a togo order for the Nashville hot chicken Sandwich and spicy tots. It was way better than I expected. It was still good when I got home, not mushy at all. The spice was just right. The spicy tots super crispy but could use a little more spice. This is a repeater for sure!

I have come here multiple times always had great Food and a great experience! The service is super awesome they are super helpful and you can tell they love the atmosphere! So good and for the price it was a good deal. I had the sausage & egg waffle sandwich, dipped with maple syrup. Orange juice to drink. Definitely will go back, I really liked the back patio seating. And service was good, staff was very nice. Highly recommend.

Bruxie has good chicken tenders and excellent waffle fries. There was a DoorDash BOGO deal for $20, which included (2) 3 jumbo tenders meals. The Stone Ground Honey Mustard was very delicious. The tenders were large and the fries were crispy. I appreciated how the to-go boxes had holes, so the food didn't get soggy. I would like to try their waffle and breakfast burritos.

I always like going to Bruxie and ordering their waffles. I don't get the waffle sandwiches because I feel $13 is kind of steep. It would make more sense if they offered it as a big salad with waffle croutons instead. Anyway, this location has a very tiny parking lot, but there's plenty of street parking. However, I did go during off-peak hours.... Inside, is tiny, but their dining area is bigger. Although, you're inside, it's technically outside where you're out in the elements. I went on a chilly day and I had to quickly eat my waffle before it hardened from being out in the cold. Service is good! Restrooms are clean.

Really wanted to try this place out with my girlfriend. When we got there it wasn't that busy, at all. There was a lady in front of us and another couple. They all got seated immediately. When my girlfriend and I walked up the worker asked what do we want we said something about the waffle and I believe Mac and cheese just for him to say they probably wouldn't be able to take us for 30 minutes to an hour so we just walked out. read more

bruxie's chicken sandwiches are the perfect combination of sweet, savory, and spicy. hoping this is my last meal. my partner got the breakfast waffle and wasn't a huge fan - it was a bit sweet for his taste and he didn't love the white cream that came with the little spread of nutella. so definitely make sure you're in the mood for a sweet treat if that's your pick! not pictured, but i also love their fries and honey mustard sauce. food comes out quickly and the staff is always very nice. lots of seating options for a quick casual date. would definitely recommend! read more

1st timer here! Absolutely phenomena!!! didn't know what I was getting myself into but this is probably my new SPOT! if your mouth could orgasm, this was it. Luz was incredibly helpful with navigating the menu n' recommend her fav things. Food's awesome. GREAT fried chicken sandwich with hot honey. Waffle fries are outrageously good. It's as good as any fried chicken, anywhere in Southern CA. My kids gobbled up their kids meals...and they're the type of kids that are even picky about their fries! Staff is fun and friendly. So glad we've got this place in the neighborhood. First time here as we're new to the area where there happens to be many chicken and waffle spots. This one has been the best so far. I ordered the two jumbo tenders with fries and my partner ordered tenders and waffles. The waffles were so flaky, buttery and delicious. A lot of the ones we tried before were soggy and too dense. Large variety of dipping sauces with deliciously flavored chicken was awesome as well. We were greeted and served by Dora, who made the experience so comfortable and we felt very accommodated as she made sure to check in with us often and always had a smile. Outdoor seating while still feeling some AC was perfect for the sunny day. We will definitely be returning. read more

I met the owner at a rugby game and he was very friendly. He saw I was a bodybuilder and knew I eat a lot of protein. He told me about his jerky and it sounded great with not a lot of chemicals, all natural! Then he gave me a free pack and it was great, lots of protein and no carbs. I can order it on line so that makes it easy. Recommended read more

I used to love this place. Ordered the bacon egg and cheese breakfast waffle with spiced tots. Tots amazing..but the waffle quality seems like it was made by somebody who just lost their puppy. Flimsy, and undercooked. It used to be crispy on the outside and nice and fluffy on the inside. For 33 dollars I could have had a way better meal. What a bummer read more

First time visit: I ordered the Original Chicken and Waffle sandwich. It totally exceeded my expectations. The chicken was perfectly crisp on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside.The honey chili drizzle paired well with the waffle, chicken and the coleslaw topping. This might be the most expensive fast food restaurant in the world! Don't come here unless you are ready to pay $25 for a combo meal. The chicken sandwich with honey hot sauce was good but not $25 good. Chicken sandwich, waffle fries and a drink for the price of a meal at a nice restaurant. If I could give it 0 stars I would. The food is horrible. We were at the E. Ocean spot last week. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with tater tots We are directly across the street from this location. By the time we got our order and we waited a while, the waffle was completely soggy and fell apart upon picking it up. I had to cut up the chicken and eat it with the lettuce like a salad. The waffle other than being soggy tasted bad. The tater tots were so over seasoned and were barley edible. My sister got the chicken fingers and they put the same seasonings on them as the tater tots. It was horrible as well and she didn't eat her dinner. The last time a couple of months ago, the chicken fingers were good and did not have this seasoning on them. I do not recommend their food at all. They have gone downhill. My daughter, who is a burger freak and has always liked Bruxie's got the burger, she said it was horrible as well. They changed the beef and shaped it into a triangle. Not good. Save your money. Bruxie's used to be good. Used to have pastrami, used to have peanut butter and jelly waffle. What happened? read more

First time here and Q the manager was AWESOME! Great customer service from the moment I walked in she greeted me with a smile and provided me with the best customer service ever!!! The honey hot chicken sandwich was amazing but I didn't realize I wouldn't be able to handle the heat it's pretty hot. I'm more of a medium to low heat. I drove off and called back to see if they had a milder sandwhich for the next time I come and Q was amazing again by offering me a regular chicken sandwich that has no heat. I accepted and will definitely be a returning customer. Give it a try. Hopefully someone in upper management reads this as Im recommending Q get a raise she is definitely an asset to your company and made my 1st time experience here amazing!! read more

Their spicy hot honey is no joke and delicious, their sauces are fantastic, and their chicken is terrific. Oh yea, the desert is diabolical and the waffle fries rival, if are not better, than Chik-fil-a. Get their food, please let's help this place last cause it is incredibly good. read more

Decided to come after my boyfriend saw there was a new location in Long Beach. This is my first time at any Bruxie. Its small location with the main part of the building being where the orders are taken and they have a patio style enclosed dining area. We arrived on a Saturday at 12 pm it was quite busy and had to wait on the chairs outside for a bit until a spot opened up. They have a variety different ways to eat the waffles. I ordered the Nashville Hot with spiced tater tots. The waffle was delicious and not too thick for my sandwich and had a nice crisp to it. The chicken was huge and the spice crept up on me towards the end. Although delicious the batter was a little to thick and towards the end I found the spice/seasoning to be a bit too much so I couldn't finish all of it but did eat as much as I could . The spiced tots were so good and crispy. My boyfriend got the holy chicken and loved it. He also ordered a pumpkin cold brew and was really good, however it did arrive later then all the food so I didn't get to take a picture of it. The service was great and the staff were really friendly. At the end of our meal we were approached by a staff member with a Halloween bucket letting us know they are giving away a free gift card to each table. Thought it was really nice of them to do that and a great way to promote the restaurant. Wanted to give honest and detailed review of the food and my experience. 4.5/5 read more

Went in on a Friday night. The service was very good at explaining the menu. The food came out fairly quickly. Had the chicken (Bruxie seasoning) & waffle plate. The portions were good. I found the chicken to be juicy. The seasoning was pretty mild. I would like to try the more spicy seasoning next time. The waffle was like a Belgium style. It was fresh and provided a good vessel for the chicken. Just wish it was thinner & easier to fold. They provided a small bottle of maple syrup. Wish it was a little bit larger. Overall my experience was good. Would like to go back & try the breakfast. read more

the resteraunt is so clean & well-lit! that's the first thing i noticed. it just has an amazing setting and the food is beyond amazing. i'm not from california, so i'm typically very critical of how people cook their chicken if southern style and bruxie honestly has the chicken down PERFECTLY. 10/10 flavor, texture, and juiciness. it is perfectly seasoned and fried without it being crazily greasy. i wish i took a picture before smashing it but it was so delicious, i reccommend the chicken and waffles combo with the fries because they're so crispy and fresh. the service here was amazing & my food came out quickly thanks to eli and the kitchen staff. read more

Bruxie opened as a patio stand in Orange County, California in 2010 with one genius idea -- the Fried Chicken & Waffle Sandwich! I never suggested that it was a "hidden fee", I just pointed out that it is a very high fee for ordering online. As pointed out before, ordering online directly from a restaurant does not usually incur a fee, let alone a $6 fee. If Diana feels that ordering online is so onerous, then maybe she should deactivate that feature and encourage her customers to phone in their orders. Diana should also consider not badgering customers that did not have a good experience with her restaurant and consider taking some classes in Customer Service 101. It's not a good way to run a business and the fastest way to lose customers. ***UPDATE FOLLOWING DIANA M's RESPONSE*** It's unfortunate that the owner responded with excuses and condescension. A simple "Hey, sorry for the mishap, we will make sure it won't happen again" would have sufficed. At least that way, she likely would have had a returning customer since the food is good. I settled in, savoring a strawberry Arnold Palmer that was more than just a drink--it was an experience. The service was top-notch, and I was pleasantly surprised to find the bathrooms spotless and charmingly tiled, a detail I attribute to my HGTV addiction. The interior was charming, but we opted to sit on the patio for some fresh air. The patio was enclosed, spacious, and clean. We ordered waffle sandwiches and fresh orange juice. I love Bruxie so much it's not even funny. I think I love it even more than howlin rays. I can't eat at the usual fried chicken franchises anymore because they're so bad compared to bruxie. Bruxies chciken tenders are so thick and juicy. The breading and seasoning is to die for. The bruxie sauce and ranch is delicious.
