I do like this place, but it's pretty overrated. The custard is just okay, I've had better and they give you such a small amount for the price you pay. The chicken and waffle sandwich was okay, not the best, but the waffle fries are good. I do like the dessert waffles more, but it's pretty pricey for the amount you get. read more

Tried Bruxie today. We took it home and it was a little soggy at home, which is expected. I imagine if we had eaten it there it would have been better. We ordered the Bruxie burger, the Carolina BBQ Pork, and the waffle fries. The Burger was a little bland, but the Pork was full of flavor! The BBQ sauce was sweet and spicy. I usually go for the Green Eggs and Ham, because I tend to go in the late AM after a work meeting. I tried the Turkey Club last time, and that was yummy too. There are always staff ready to help you and answer questions, or suggest one of the weekly specials. I've never been disappointed with anything I've had there. Even the waffle fries are great. The only thing that would make this place better would be more savory veggie waffle options. There's currently a grilled cheese and a goat cheese mushroom. Had the prosciutto and Gruyere , the hubby had the PB&J they were both delicious!! I had my waffle sand which with the fruit and strawberry lemonade combo deff worth the extra $$. My waffle sand which was a bit light (as the cashier had said and suggested i add an egg but i was planning on getting a combo, so i decided against the egg) the fruit and drink that came with my combo was more than enough to fill me up! They add some kind of tangy / sour sauce to the sand which (I couldn't tell you what it had in it, but it took that waffle sand which over the top!) The PB&J was well a PB&J....can't really screw that up... But they did add banana slices to it. I'm just not a huge fan of ordering something as simple as that or something I'm able to make at home for that matter....but my husband is less adventurous with his food. The place was clean and the food came out fast!! The people who work there are kind and very welcoming. No inside seating and its right across from Chapman U...so I would suggest planning according as to when to stop by this awesome place! I have driven by many times and the line is just soooooo long. This place is amazing! The line is usually long so be prepared to wait a few minutes. But the wait is worth it. Luckily they turned on the mist while I was waiting in the 90 degree Southern California heat. I ordered the turkey club - which is one of my favorite savory options. The waffles are not sweet, but they add a perfect taste to the sandwich. The fries are perfect and the natural sugar sodas are refreshing. I have been here once. I got the mushroom and arugula sandwich. At first I find the flavor very strong, I couldn't enjoy it but eventually the flavor grows on you and I like it. Next time I will have to try the fried chicken sandwich or the cheeseburger. I'm not a fan of the location because I really suck at parallel parking and you have to sit outside which is weird. I had the green eggs and ham waffle and it had pesto, an over medium egg, and ham. It was yummy! But I just feel like maybe it was missing something (kinda plain- maybe a tomato or something could've added some flavor). This place is SO good. I was skeptical because of the idea of waffles and savory foods but it works really well. Parking seemed like it was going to be difficult but I got a spot right up front. Our group shared all of our orders so I got to taste a bit of everything. I personally got the sausage, egg and cheese which was I guess the "ok" one in the bunch even though it was still really delicious. We also shared a limited time offer "banh mi" version of the bruxie which looked and tasted awesome. They're going to stop serving that after the super bowl though and I'm not sure if it regularly pops up or not but I suggest try it. The best thing that we got in my opinion was not even a bruxie. The star of our breakfast was the chicken tenders, which I was kind of irritated when it was ordered in the first place but not for long. These aren't the chicken tenders you get for your kids so they shut up while you try to enjoy dinner. They were so juicy and perfectly cooked. I definitely have to give this place 5 stars. I've been waiting to try this place for years and was finally able to try the goodness. Right when we got there, there was no line and there was someone outside asking if we had any questions regarding the menu. She was very helpful in helping me make my decision. I chose the mushroom and goat cheese one with arugula, and I also bought the criss-cross fries, and was absolutely the perfect amount. I literally didn't want the food to end but it was SO good. For dessert i tried their black-cow root beer float which is a normal root beer float with their own soft serve ice cream and with a special chocolate syrup. Let me just say, after tasting that for the first time I was already addicted to that place. Prices are very reasonable, and portions are just perfect. The setting is outside, you order at a window and there's outdoor seating with heated lamps near each table. A little smaller than I expected of the venue, but the food is what matters the most.
