I really like the waffle fries here. Sauce wise I think I like the more traditional sauces such as bbq and honey mustard but please try the sauces here for yourself as they are definitely unique. My kid had the boneless chicken nuggets with BBQ sauce, waffle fries, a drink, plus an order of hash browns. Everything came to just under $30, which felt pretty reasonable. The only downside was the service at the counter. The restaurant wasn't busy, but the person taking our order seemed more focused on her phone than our order. One of my items was wring, and when I pointed it out, there wasn't much concern about fixing the mistake. But with the advent of places like Raising Cane's and Dave's Hot Chicken, I've come around to the idea that some food joints know what they're doing to keep boneless chicken moist and tender, and not dry and mealy like most boneless tenders seem to be. I still prefer a good thigh piece or two when it comes to fried chicken. But I don't turn away when folks say a place is known for their chicken tendies either. Okaay Chicken has some great tenders that are very moist and very melt in your mouth side. I wasn't able to try it sauced due to a miscommunication, but their honey mustard dipping sauce was very good and seemingly homemade. This is a tender that's worthy of a return visit to try the sauced version. The service was the weak point here as the initial encounter was rife with very lackluster service. That's why I failed to know sauce on the chicken was free and sauce on the side was the only thing that cost extra. Indeed, some of my initial questions were met with the employee blankly pointing to the menu board behind her instead of actual words. This was redeemed by a nice follow-up conversation when I had further questions, but that initial encounter was quite jarring. The ambiance was very relaxing and there was tons of space in the dining room. This would be a nice place to eat a relaxing meal any day of the week. Stopped by for lunch today as it had recently opened and wanted to give it a shot. This place is solid. It's located next to the Deli and J Sushi, with plenty of parking. The interior is brand new and super clean, with plenty of seating. Service was friendly and made our meal quickly, so everything was super fresh. Tried the fire wings which were super juicy and crispy, the batter is exactly what you want for Korean Fried Chicken (and most fried chicken IMO). The fire sauce isn't sweet, but kind of tangy, and not too spicy. The chicken sandwich was great, the breading and seasoning were well done. It's a tender vs. a patty, but it all held together well. Definitely a good value here. At this time they have a daily $9.99 special. Hard to find a complete meal for ten bucks these days. It was very busy when we went today and they seemed to be struggling to keep up. You can order at the counter or from a kiosk but if your kiosk order includes a drink you'll end up waiting for them to hand you the cup. They are kind of underselling the chicken as the pieces are quite large and don't look that big in the photos. I upsized my order and ended up taking the extra pieces home. It is crunchy and delicious. They also have cheese bread and waffle fries if you prefer. The service was quick - probably due to the fact that they have a very streamlined menu. They have and Orange colored theme throughout their store and branding materials. I love okaay chicken. I go often and I usually get the okaay fire which is my favorite flavor but new flavors dropped recently so I wanted to try them out. Today I ordered the bone in wing meal and I got the k spicy flavor and oh my god it was so spicy to the point where it wasn't even enjoyable and I'm someone who can tolerate spicy food. You get more of the spicy feeling that you can't even taste the flavor because you're focused on how painful it is. My nose was running down with snot eating it and drinking water didn't even help me. I ended up having to wait for the chicken to cool down and take it off the bone because it was much more manageable to eat that way. I was spiced out. The okaay fire that I usually get is already spicy as it is but the k spicy is another level. It's probably a me thing, but I definitely wouldn't get this k spicy flavor again.
