Food: I had the Bangkok Street Rice, which was a burst of rich, umaminess sitting atop a bed of soft white rice. Solid dish, but would have preferred it to be easier on the salt. On the other hand, my partner had the Lemongrass Ginger Stir Fry. It had a brighter, zesty flavor and was just as good. Service: Excellent! Ordered through a kiosk, which was a pretty straightforward experience, and the person at the front was helpful with understanding how to make modifications. While not a traditional sit-down, another person was kind enough to walk around, refilling people's water cups and checking in on them. Ambiance: Casual, modern, traditional. Parking: Ample parking. Located in a plaza.

Eating in the car series. Didn't love the cherry tomatoes but other than that tasty. Drunken noodles sub chicken, Thai iced tea

Pretty good! Drive thru is a major winning factor here. It was fast, the Thai iced tea was sooo good, and I loved the drunken noodles. Will be back to try more on the menu. Good on the go Thai

Chicken with Glass Noodles (Pad Woo Sen)

This is my second time here, this review is for a drive-through order. FOOD: I have had both the Pad Thai & glass noodles with chicken. Both were excellent. They make the dish exactly as you order and it is hot and fresh. ATMOSPHERE: Inside is nice and cool vibe. I would be comfortable bringing my whole family here; host a happy hour or have a late-night snack. SERVICE: Both times, the wait staff told me their names; we're super-friendly and attentive. TIP: Take home extra, great leftovers!

5 - Over the top, amazing service and friendly team. 5 - Cleanliness and ease of ordering and presentation. 3 - Actual Thai food I was immediately greeted by the kindest man who showed me the digital menu screen and how easy it is to order and customize my dish. I liked being able to see exactly what was going into my dish and being able to customize it. The cost is comparable to most dine in or take out thai places in the county ($15-ish for a noodle bowl). To give them a fair shot I ordered Chicken Pad See Ew - a dish I have probably had 100 times from dozens of different restaurants in dozens of different states and cities. I was surprised to see included were; cherry tomatoes and chopped iceberg lettuce, neither of which have EVER found their way into my Pad See Ew, so I removed them from my meal. I chose "Spicy" for my heat and added chicken. My friend and I took our seats and our meal was brought to us by a very kind gentleman who asked us if we needed anything else. The dish looked fresh and was piping hot. Before I dug in, I was surprised to see my friend's Pad Thai dish had neon yellow noodles, also something I've never seen at a Thai restaurant. My dish was cooked well but my first bite told me everything. The sauce was not a traditional Thai sauce, it tasted like soy sauce and bbq sauce, maybe some ponzu mixed in. It was runny like liquid, not thick like a sauce. The spice was not Thai spicy with spices or fish sauce, it was spicy like siracha or jalapeno. The kind that burns your tongue because it's hot, not spicy. The noodles were fine, but the flavor was lacking. And the chicken was really disappointing. It is NOT grilled chicken. It's a breaded chicken cube that I thought was tofu at first because it was almost gummy in texture. When I looked back at the picture of the chicken on the screen menu I see it's not grilled chicken although they call it "chicken". The service was great and the restaurant inviting and clean, but the food did not impress. For the same cost I'd go to another Thai place to get more authentic Thai.

So good!!!! A quick, made to order place with full service. The pad see ew was super flavorful. I do wish they had protein options that we could choose, but it seems to come with a chosen protein. Portions are average for the price. Their pandan soft serve was such a treat.

We had a good experience and I would go back to try more dishes. The food is very reasonably priced and the portions are a nice size. I like that everything is served in a ready to go dish so it's easy to take home your leftovers. The panang curry was seasoned differently than I expected but had a good variety of vegetables and decent serving of meat. The pad Thai was great both the day of and when we reheated it for leftovers. Even though this is a self checkout set up, the staff is eager to help and very responsive. The restaurant is cute and you wouldn't know it was previously a chicken restaurant.

Wow! This place is amazing! I would have never known to try this. Inside feels like a fast food lounge but also restaurant. You order at kiosk in front the they bring the food to you. My drink was nice, but our chicken wings I didn't care for I felt like they had a bad scent to them I dunno bc I love me some chicken wings. I also got some edamame- good! And Thai noodles - very good as well. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone to try looking for something different and good. Note: they gave our girls some free cotton candy bc someone accidentally threw something at them they were sitting at different table so we didn't notice but my whole point is that bc of that I got to try to cotton candy they sell which I thought was weird they sell cotton candy BUT OMG its AMAZING! You must order I've never had anything like it and it's Amazing did I say that already , it was like cotton candy w tajin!!!! I would definitely return.

    Pad Thai, no spice bowl

Went for late dinner here. We ordered Pad Thai bowl no spice and Beef Garlic Stir-fry bowl, medium spice. They're both delicious. This Asian Fusion Thai restaurant is the new food concept introduced by Malai Kitchen of DFW. They opened about a month ago in the former Chic-fil-A place fronting Preston Road in West Plano, TX. Friendly and helpful service staff. Nicely decorated with bright orange color painted building. Lots of parking, too.

This place absolutely deserves 5 stars! It's a fast casual restaurant and they even have drive through. It feels like a cross between a fast food restaurant as well as a regular restaurant with service since you do not have to bus your tables and they bring your food out to you. Waiting time was a bit faster than a typical restaurant but not as fast as like a fast food place. It'll probably depend on how busy it is. Now on to the food, we loved everything we got. The wings are amazing and the sauce is so flavorful. It was crispy and fried well too. I appreciate how you can modify everything in your order from spice levels to taking out ingredients. Some standout dishes include the pad thai which has shrimp and fried tofu pieces by default, the tiger noodles and pandan coffee soft serve. You can get either pandan or coffee or twist that I highly recommend the latter!!! The mix of flavor is so good and it really gives a good balance. The coffee isn't too bitter or strong and the pandan is quite potent but in a good way. Overall this is an amazing place!!

Food - 5 Service - 5 Value - 5 New fast casual concept by the owners of Malay Kitchen. Food is very fresh and it's easy to customize to your tastes. Portions are generous and one entree could easily be good for 2 lunches. We got the Pad See Eaw, Garlic Soy Stir Fry, and Basil Fried Rice and Taro Fries. Peach Ginger Tea was refreshing and I liked that it was unsweetened. Pandan and Vietnamese Coffee soft serve swirl was an awesome combo! Service is friendly and attentive and restaurant is very clean and has a nice outdoor patio when it's cooler. Rewards program is 10% of current purchase towards next visit until mid October and then 5% after that.

New Thai fast casual & drive-thru concept by Malai Kitchen is now open in the former Plano Chick-fil-A off Park & Preston. Super friendly service as they walk you through your first time ordering at the kiosk. Orders are customizable, from light sauces to extra add-ins. App - taro shoestring fries (light seasoning), so addictive! Main - chicken pad see ew, chicken ginger soy stir fry, basil fried rice Everything is cooked to order & came out very fresh. Chicken was tender & flavorful & big portions for leftovers. For dessert, get the pandan/Vietnamese coffee swirl!

the drunken noodles was good but their jasmine tea was not sweet at all. Not even a little bit and there was no option to request sweeteners if you order online. The drunken noodles was the right amount of spicy (Asian level but not so much) so be aware if you cant handle spice.

And the food is authentic. Hot Hong Kong milk tea and French toast are my favorite breakfast items and that's exactly what I got. If I were in Hong Kong, I would get them in the morning. But I wouldn't mind having them any time of the day! The milk tea was great. I liked the aromatic, bold black tea. It was fairly creamy and smooth. The French toast was delicious also. Fried golden brown, it was toasty on the outside, and nutty, buttery (with peanut butter filling) on the inside. I liked the condensed milk drizzled on top, instead of syrup, which I normally use at home. They also have other Hong Kong style dishes, like the baked cutlet pork chop with rice, fish fillet in creamy white sauce, and iconic street foods like curry fish balls, radish, and pork rinds (yummy!) This place is fully decorated with so many Hong Kong street items, like the big wall pictures of busy, beautiful city views, signs of major streets, shop signs, etc. If you're not from Hong Kong, they may not mean too much to you. But if you are, they're invariably nostalgic. If you want a delightful experience of Hong Kong food and ambience, come give it a try.

We liked the beef flat noodles, texture was nice and beef was good. The pork chop was good and reminded me of eggs rice and ketchup as a kid. I'm glad the staff are knowledgeable about the place they work, and the energy surrounding the place is nice too. Peaceful and quiet chatter amongst others and no unpleasant noises or disturbances. The food is definitely something to praise too. I always end up eating nearly 2-3 all you can eat plates of bulgogi myself, their shrimp, and la galbi (beef short rib) are quite nice too. But the side dishes are my absolute favorite! Although the chicken and dipping sauces aren't something to fuss over, they're not horrible. Top recommendation: Bulgogi, la galbi & side dishes I'm looking forward to coming back again, and hopefully (unlike the many times before) I leave room for dessert! The yakgwa sundae looks promising.

Great value there - Fairly large vegetable/noodle/etc bar - Waiters were incredibly attentive - All meats tasted high quality CONS: - No true "sauce bar"--I kind of tried to replicate my usual combo using the salad supplies and sauces - The meats are clearly made for either the grill or the pot 80% of the time with very few that can do both. For example, pork belly (grill) is different from THIN pork belly (pot). Beef belly worked best in the pot. Chicken worked best on the grill. Etc - Beef broth I got for my hotpot was decent but worse than most pork bone broths I default to For the same price as Seapot, I'd still personally prefer Seapot. But I think this place does best a lot of competition like Nan and Hai Di Lao. Give it a try for sure.

The staff here are very sweet and helpful with questions about the menu and were not afraid to point out popular choices. Our server indicated that the Basil Duck and the Duck Curry were the best and that the Duck Curry was more popular. So I chose that and my husband ordered the Thai Lo Mein with Beef and we split the Fresh Salad Rolls with added shrimp with peanut sauce. All of the items were amazing. The curry was unique and included added sweetness from pineapple and lychee. It was soooooooo good. The salad rolls were great with fresh peanut sauce. So nice with the added shrimp.
