The food is pretty good here. There are lots of different choices. You order through a Kiosk specially made orders.

And I thought I made good steak at home....go to Costco grab a USDA Prime Rib Eye...cast iron pan…read moregrill it...and remember the Bearnaise Sauce... Aside from the Seafood Fondeaux being a little on the saltier side...Saltgrass Steakhouse is probably the #1 Steakhouse here in Amarillo Texas (just my opinion)...if I had to leave one two word adjective to describe my entire experience today at this Steak House...."Michelin Worthy." Obviously not at Joel Robuchon level, but they sure execute everything like Brick & Mortar Steakhouse would be expected on Rodeo Drive. Perfect Medium Rare, Great baked sweet potatoes with that foam melt butter, garlic butter and grilled shrimp were cherries on top of the pie as a Steak Add-on, phenomenal balsamic vinegarette fused Blue Cheese crumbs Wedge Salad, and the Seafood Fondeaux was as if you married lobster bisque with creme spinach and queso, a superb starter. Premium Service by Isabel, top notch multitasker handling the bar, and multiple fronts. A well put together Southern Cowboy country Interior with very fitting country music. First time at Saltgrass, and what are my last thoughts? Definitely on my recommend list to anyone looking for a casual weekday steak lunch or dinner. Worth the spend! Edit: ***oh...pshhh no wonder, this steakhouse is sister restaurants with Mastros and Morton's~~ It's like the Swatch Group, if Mastros was Breguet, then Morton's would be Omega, and Saltgrass...Longines.

Gotta say growing up in Houston eating Torchy's it is nice to visit a new town and having tried and…read moretrue taco's with excellent service. The kiosk is slightly offensive imo. But here again it's great for those that don't want to socialize I suppose. The order out was super busy (door dash, Uber eats orders) the employees were hustlin. All and all a nice blast from the past. Food was fair for a taco and queso; a solid Torchy's situation.

About 9am, I walked in to the ordering desk and needed a minute to view the menu, as I had never…read moreeaten there before, the lady was seemingly irritated with needing to give me time to find something to order. Once order was placed, I filled my cup with unsweet tea and it was soured. For the sake of pure awareness, I let the lady know about the finding and she further tasted it but didn't find it unpleasant. Mind you, I have ran a restaurant on my own and have worked in the restaurant industry since high school.... I know what bad tea tastes like. I make a new drink choice and move on, not the end of the world with 15 other drink choices available!! Once my food arrived and I'm half way through eating, she proceeds to come to the table in a very offensive manner asking "Well would you like me to make you new tea? What do you want me to do?" At this point, I was shocked at how she approached me and did not have much response other than "It's alright, I got something else to drink, thank you." So I finished the meal, go to top off with lemonade before leaving, and the manager/owner hurries over and says "No, No! That is not lemonade, just the concentrate!" In my mind I think to myself "umm, sorry Sir, I didn't know that. I thought that the "Hours of Operation 8am-10pm" on the door meant that this place was fully functioning and in service within the hours that you have posted. The entire time I was in this restaurant, the workers were refilling and setting up for the day..... the place was not to par within their "Hours of Operation." Will never return!!!!!

What's- in - a - burger!…read more What ever is in a burger, this was a staple for me as a child . Now as we passed through Amarillo, Texas, to eat here was a great little piece of the past. The staff seemed to be doing a great job of the job, the food was packed as we wanted but they lacked luster and joy. The food was good, not great . That super happy feeling was not found here. The staff was just blah! The food was made properly and backed well. The chocolate shake lacked any sort of flavor. Having this as a child it made my stomach hurt and no feeling of happy. The food was just something the kids enjoyed. But if in the area maybe try something that will welcome the customer and make smiles .

Saying this as a well-established fan of the chain: this is a substandard Whataburger location. How…read moreso? The girl at the counter took my order and handed me a receipt without saying a word. Then, I could easily have slid all the way to our table on the greasy floor. When my #5 Whataburger arrived, I opened it up: they built it with 3 tomato slices in one pile, 3 pickle slices in another, etc. - without spreading them out (see photo). You literally can't assume *anything* goes without saying! Afterwards, I took a survey to earn a promised free Whataburger. When I got to the part where you enter your email to get the coupon, there was no little keyboard to input my email address, even with multiple tries. So I took the survey, but did not get the promised free Whataburger in return. Nice.
