i've always been a huge Jimmy John's fan. Love the sandwiches no complaints on the food here. However, I went inside for a pick up order, was not acknowledged & they wouldn't even make eye contact with me, despite my glances and smiles while patiently waiting near the wall, out of the way. Nearing 15 minutes I decided to approach the counter the girl behind it looks annoyed by my presence. I have to repeat myself several times to receive my full order which has been ready the entire time I was standing inside the restaurant on the back counter. Mind you I am around the same age as most of the employees, have worked several food service jobs, and I've never even made a yelp review before until now. I'm not a Karen and never thought I would feel the need to write a review, but I honestly left feeling embarrassed/ashamed or guilty for buying a sandwich? I went to this location for the first time, and I think the problem is the brain dead employees. They clearly don't want to be there, and they act like taking an order is an inconvenience (despite being the only person in the store). And they still managed to screw up my order by forgetting to add hot peppers. Pretty disappointing overall. read more

Pretty disappointed in some of the hygienic practices at this location. Most important thing I want to make note of first is that the staff wore the masks incorrectly the whole time. One staff member wore their mask on their chin (exposing the nose and mouth) while making sandwiches. The other staff member taking orders was exposing their nose. My sandwich was good but unfortunately the not so friendly staff and hygienic practices here will get 1 star from me. There was also a trash pile left out the whole time I was there. Finally! I just had a delicious veggie sandwich that was flavorful and satisfying. It's on the menu as a Mediterranean wrap. I had them leave the cheese off as I avoid dairy. Terrible customer service. Don't ask for pickles or your tomatoes on the side. We were going riding and they were SO annoyed that we asked for that. Just rude. They actually rolled their eyes and made faces and one of them said "we already gave you a full serving but we will let it slide". I've worked for jimmy Johns for 2+ years earlier in life. So anytime I eat here - my sandwich is somewhat complicated. I ordered delivery from nearby hotel, within 10 minutes my order arrived. Sandwich: bread is good, cut the way it should be and baked to perfection. Right amount of mayo, veggies and the meat is the same as I remember eating hundreds of times in the past. JJs takes pride that every one of their sandwiches, and every bite of that sandwich should taste the same. This is what I got here. The chips and cookies are exactly the same as I remember. I think the word gourmet is used too liberally nowadays. With that being said, the food here is not bad, and it is made when you order it. But, it is not gourmet food. That's not to say it is bad or anything of the sort. Their portions are generous and they serve you quickly. I think my only gripe is that I didn't get the pickle I ordered. Ordered two 16" vitos on our way out of town for 4 of us. One was not cut in half so my husband had to go back in. Once we were back on the road we realized the sandwiches were really dry as there wasn't any sauce... disappointing especially as there were several employees there. This is a fun little sandwich shop. Most if their signage is hilarious. I had the "Vito" ... It was good, but I had high expectations and the sandwich just didn't meet my expectations. The flavors were ok (better than subway!) but you just didn't get enough meat or produce. They are for sure trying to fill you up on bread. Went there on 05/13/20 at 12:45 and was charge for an original size sandwich but got a slim. Once I got home, I called and was told by zack that he would only remake the sandwich. I drove 25 minutes to get there, so I expected to get properly compensated for my time i.e. remake the entire order. I'm not driving 25 minutes because they shorted me $3.00. Which by the way seems intentional. I would advise everyone not to come here. If they show this little care about customer service, I WOULD HATE TO SEE THEIR ATTITUDE TOWARDS THE CLEANLINESS OF THE RESTAURANT. I give them a solid 2. I'm a happy that 'leave at the door' is an option. Ordered last night and the first sandwich was perfect, but the second sandwich was missing some ingrediients. I ordered extra pickles and tere was barely three on there. I also ordered extra avocado guac and yet they decided not to add that. I don't understand how my order can be so perfect online and yet Jimmy johns fails to hire people that speak and read english. Will never order from here again! I submitted an online order around the dinner rush, and kept refreshing the Order Status web page to see when they were done with it. At least 25 minutes passed and the page said it was still not ready. Eventually, my wife left me with the kids and went to find out what was taking so long. They shrugged it off and said it had been ready for a while. We would have gotten our food faster if they'd had no Order Status page. The sandwiches were tasty, but the meat slides right out of the bread. I can't be the only person who has this problem with that. read more

The sandwich was good but the customer service was very poor. I bought a bag of chips that turned it to be soggy/wet. I thought "ok this stuff happens, maybe water got in some how, no big deal." For sure I'd have no problem exchanging a full bag of bad chips for another. Wrong. The night manager informed me I could buy a new bag of chips but would not exchange them. After several more exchanges he finally exchanged them for me. No apology for selling me a tainted bag or for the inconvenience. I could understand if I ate the whole/most of the bag and complained way after the fact (I returned 5 mins after getting my food) but he was just very rude and didn't understand why I wouldn't be satisfied paying for a soggy bag of chips. I am sitting here in Jimmy Johns and I am extremely disappointed! We walk in and no one is here. First notice that it is FREEZING!! After getting our food I also notice that there is only one clean booth to sit at.. although it seemed like when we walked in everyone was just talking. We find the last clean table in the place and sit. Then we notice that the music is Disturbed, a very loud, screaming band. Not what Jimmy would want I'm sure. That song was followed up by a rap song that clearly sai the word "F* ck"!! At last when we started looking around for some salt and pepper we noticed there wasn't any on the tables. This is a wonderful sub sandwich! The bread is fresh and delicious. Their veggie sandwich is my favorite with lots of fresh veggies and cheese and guacamole. I think this place was clean and nice and inviting. The only thing that was a need for improvement was the customer service. Two guys were not that helpful but one was very! I'm currently only listing this as 3 star and here's why: Jimmy Johns is a franchise that is built on their reputation for speed, and I do give the leeway that this location isn't very old. But a few times I've ordered and I was having it delivered to the mall( since I couldn't leave for break) it has taken a fairly long time. I'm allergic to wheat and Jimmy Johns is one of few places that serves a sandwich bread alternative - the unwich which are lettuce wraps. An unwich comes with 2 lettuce leafs as the wrap. I always ask for a couple extra lettuce wraps and have NEVER been denied until today. I even told the cashier that and his reply was "rules are rules, only comes with two". Unbelievable. We're talking two iceberg leafs of lettuce!!! Talk about STINGY, CHEAP, & and UNACCOMMODATING to the customer. It's clear that the owner of this Jimmy John's would rather get a 1 star rating than give its customer a couple extra leafs of iceberg lettuce. Unreal. read more

Ordered my sandwich #14 add cheese, I didn't receive the cheese. Went back up to the counter and let one of the employees know. The other employees looked at it as a big inconvenience to get what I paid for. As I'm eating my sub at one of the booths I noticed that one of the employees was touching the baked bread as he organized the trays without gloves after he was sweeping and doing other cleaning duties. I've been the industry a long time and that always grosses me out when people can't wash their hands and put gloves on. read more

It seems to me the Jimmy John's Soncy location has trouble getting my order correct each and every time. Whether it's an online order or a call-in. It must be a major effort to cut a sandwich in half. It's always a request when I order on-line or when I call-in an order. A few week ago I ordered the Vito #5, I wanted it dry (no sauce/oil, vinegar or oregano) and cut in half. When I got home and opened the wrapper I had a greasy oily mess of a sandwich and NOT cut in half. When I called and explained to the manager my disappointment I was told I would have a credit for a sandwich on my next visit. I wanted to make sure all staff would be aware of this credit. The manager said yes it would be flagged/noted on my account. Today I called to order my replacement sandwich, I was told there was nothing noted. I explained the situation and picked up my replacement. I asked for it to be cut in half, the young man said he would make a note of that request. When I was leaving the pick up window, I thought I better check my sandwich before I get home. I checked before leaving the parking lot and what a surprise...IT WAS NOT CUT IN HALF. I drove back around to the window to get that simple request done. I told them they have a major problem communicating with each other. From now on I will have to go to the Western location, even though it's further from my home. read more

The food here is totally normal and average and what you expect from a Jimmy John's. The problem I have with it is the annoying and ridiculous parking lot. It's tiny and narrow and there are too many large construction vehicles or pick ups to navigate without feeling like you're going to be crushed by some dude who could run over your poor little hatchback. There are a lot of food options in this area off the Interstate, but this JJ's isn't a terrible option. There you go. read more

I used to be a regular at this store for a couple of years who literally ate there almost every day. One day I popped in for a sandwich and I had realized I forgot my debit card after I ordered. I had about $5.50 cash so I was short about a $1.50. I asked if I could pay them back the $1.50 next time and the manager said said no it was against their policy. How greedy can you be? I said "ok, you just lost a regular who spent $7-$14 a day over a measly $1.50. I stopped giving them my business and started going to the Western St. store. I recently stopped eating at JJ for other reasons (owner using company $ for re election campaign of Joe Arpaio and hunting of animals classified as vulnerable) but this review is regarding the Soncy store of JJ. read more

Discovered JJ on vacation in Colorado Springs and have been hooked ever since! There is something for everyone at this not-so-ordinary sandwich shop. My husband is low carb, so he gets any sandwich on the menu as an "unwich" (lettuce wrap done right!). My teens love just about every item on the menu as a sub. And I am on weight watchers and for only 2 points I can get a filling meal (Turkey Tom unwich) that doesn't leave me feeling like I'm on a diet. PLUS, the decor is priceless! I used to go to both locations quite a bit and ordered for delivery twice from this location and I live about 5 minutes away from this one. I called one day to order and then the person on the phone tried to give me some lame excuse about how I wasn't in their delivery range and they couldn't deliver to me even though they had twice before. I don't know what there deal was but I haven't eaten at either location since and it's been a couple of months since that incident.
