This was our first time eating here and we were not disappointed. It's a solid restaurant. Sitting on the balcony was a great idea. It overlooks the pool at the casino which at night is lit up. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Always kept us abreast of what was going on and checking on us. We started with the Shrimp Mac-n-cheese as our app. It was rich and delicious, especially with the bread crumb topping. Right before our entrées came out, the server asked us some trivia questions from the movie, Forrest Gump, which I thought was a nice touch. I had the Shrimp and Grits, with ham, onions, and andouille sausage. It was yummy, with jumbo shrimp. My wife had the "I'm Stuffed" Shrimp with Jasmine rice. First time trying it.... 30 minutes wait on a Wednesday at 1pm....no big deal till we get called saying our table is ready twice and it wasn't.... blahhhhh. Ordered the boiled shrimp for an app but it came out tasting like pure oil (not melted butter but pure cooing oil ) the picture on the menu looked like huge shrimp and seasoned very well, but what they served me was something totally different. My daughters simple kids burger was burnt, they forgot our sides had to ask several times for that and the kids jello. Coconut shrimp we tiny, like popcorn shrimp. My son got the popcorn shrimp kids meal and it was like one shrimp. It was a ball of shrimp clumped together not individual shrimp. It took well over 45 min to get our LUNCH on a weekday after 1pm. Service wasn't good food was horrible I would never go back and advice to make another choice before going here. I was so excited to try this place also and it crashed on food and service . Also went to park valet so I could get instructions on where the restaurant was located and after waiting over ten minutes for someone to come, we left because no one was there. PLEASE HELP!!! One evening, after work, my spouse and I decided to dine at the Bubba Gump inside of the Golden Nugget in Biloxi, MS. when the police was called on him. What was suppose to be an evening of just dining and enjoying each other turned into one of the worst experiences ever. So, to get to Bubba Gump you have to walk through the casino which means you have to stop by security. When we did, my spouse realized he had misplaced his divers licenses. We informed the security guard that we was not going to gamble but was just going to eat. He told us to go ahead as long as we didn't stop by any machine. So we went straight to the restaurant. When we got there we ate and then came time to pay for the bill. THIS IS WHERE IT GETS BAD.. He reached for his wallet then he hands our waiter his BANK DEBIT CARD. Then the waiter ask for his I.d. He then tells her that he doesn't have it and he must have left it at his orthodontist office. She says well, "It's my policy that I check I.d with every credit card purchase." He says, "Okay, but I'm not paying with my credit card I'm paying with my debit card." She replies, "Okay, let me just go ask my manager." She come back and say, "Well, we can't take this payment without your I.d do you have any other form of payment!" When he tells her that he only has his cards she gets the manager to come over.. Long story cut short she calls the police and accuse him of 1. Not having I.d for a CREDIT CARD PURCHASE! 2. Refusing to pay for a meal. Neither is the truth. He got pulled outside of the restaurant and questioned like a criminal. Even after the officers confirmed his identity they still refused the payments. The ENTIRE restaurant STOPPED and stared at us. Even the employees stopped serving. Our question is, if there is ANYONE who has ate at this restaurant and was NEVER asked to show I.d for your debit card purchase please let us know. We asked for the company policy on this matter and they didn't have a single thing with that written on it. No one should have the police called on them for trying to pay for a meal. Trying to send someone to jail for not having an I.d is unfair. read more

This establishment is very laid back. The servers are friendly and talkative. They made sure we were always taken care of. I also enjoy the decor in the restaurant. It's makes you feel like you are part of the movie. The food was excellent. The portions were perfect, but a little pricey. We ordered Spinach artichoke for our appetizer and it came out hot. Perfect portion of cheese and spinach. As an entree I got the New Orleans Shrimp. It was bursting with flavor! I'm not sure what the sauce was made of, but it was very good. I could eat that again in the same day and be okay with it. Then my boyfriend had the Shrimp Scampi. You definitely taste the lemon and butter in that dish. We visited this restaurant since we had seen the movie and was staying at the Golden Nugget Casino. Let me just say that the view of the pool area from the balcony is breathtaking, but it ends there. The food is bland bland bland, and that's being kind. I ordered the Jenny's Surf and Turf and there was "NO SEASONING " NONE. The waitress, Tabitha, was excellent and kept trying to bring sauces to give my food some sort of taste. I tried adding salt, black pepper AND the two sauces provided. I still couldn't eat it. My 10 year old nephew tasted my broccoli, he LOVES BROCCOLI, and said, "No TT! This broccoli is not right and it tastes like it has no calories!" (I had to edit my review at his request, LOL... because we are in bed in our room and he is still talking about our experience today!) After letting our server know that I couldn't eat my food, The manager, Jessica, told my waitress that since I touched the Salmon, mixed in with the tasteless rice and broccoli, I could not change it for something else..... so beware.... If you taste the disgusting, tasteless food, the manager, Jessica, will accuse you of eating the food and claim there is nothing that they can offer you even though you let them know that the food is tasteless and has NO SEASONING!!!! Please please please don't waste your time, calorie intake or money eating here. The manager said she spoke to the chef, but it can't be more than a broken microwave in that kitchen. My experience here was awful. I will just add that my sister had the Forrest's Seafood Feast and the inside of the fish was gray and the beer batter on the outside of her grayed fish was stiff and hard. We were seated right away and our server, Trish, was quick to greet us and get us water while we looked over the menu. We were very disappointed to see that they no longer offered our favorite dish, the "Bucket of Trash". Trish made suggestions to help us decide on both drinks and food. Our drinks and appetizer were brought out fairly quick, and were very good; however, our food took a little longer than we expected. When it finally arrived, it was very good. Do not put this notorious establishment in the middle of a casino where you have to cart your children through clouds of cigarette smoke and drunk people just to be served mediocre seafood. This place just opened inside the Golden Nugget and my wife and I went at 9:30pm this past Friday night and still had to wait half an hour to get a table, so expect it to be busy for a while. Their menu is quite large and most entrees range from $13-18, so it's not all that expensive compared to most other local places. In fact, it's cheaper than some. I got a feast type dish with shrimp, fish, and some excellent seafood hush puppies. Service was good and the food came out very quickly despite the place being packed. Caveat: If you want top-notch Southern fare, you should go to one of the local Biloxi restaurants outside of the casino strip. This chain restaurant exceeded my expectations. The staff were friendly. Service was pretty quick, and the doors leading out to the outside area were open, which added a nice, fresh breeze to our meal. The shrimp gumbo was pretty good, but the oysters on the oyster po'boy were overpowered by the taste of the corn meal breading. They weren't up to my spice standards, but there was hot sauce standing by in a bucket on the table. The coconut shrimp was actually super good. It's my mom's favorite; I'd consider ordering their shrimp sampler in the future just to see how the rest of their line-up rates. What boosts my review up to four stars is that, out of all of the places I ate at the casino, this was the only one where I would have paid the "casino mark-up" on the food in a normal setting. The food was fresh and served with a smile. My meal was less than $15 (for soup and a sandwich). As a born Southerner, I have no qualms adding some hot sauce where needed, and it was conveniently located on my table.
