Oh my goodness, where do I start? I don't understand why this place is rated so highly. First off, it's located inside a super smokey casino/hotel. The view from the inside of the restaurant is pretty nice. We requested a table inside and, for some reason, the hostess kept trying to seat us at tables beside the open doors leading to the balcony. If we wanted to be inside, we DID NOT want to be at a door opening. The food was gross! We ordered the Shrimper's Heaven and Seafood Platter. All of the food looked and tasted like it was ALL bought frozen and cooked to order. The fried shrimp had no taste. The grilled shrimped tasted like frozen char. The coconut shrimp had more breading than shrimp. The catfish breading fell off while trying to break a piece off. The seafood hush puppies were awful and tasted like an abundance of seafood flavored seasoning was in it. This is not fresh seafood. I repeat, this is not fresh seafood. read more

Service was ok... Water in itself shouldn't taste pungent. And whatever water they served there was undrinkable. The fountain drinks had a strange taste to them too. I would never recommend this to anyone that want food and drink. Get the food to go and stop at a gas station to purchase a drink. That way you can digest the food you just got. There is no way they don't know the beverages taste that bad. read more

The best food I have ever had. Food was fresh and hot. The customer service was an A rating as always. The restaurant atmosphere was comfortable. read more

Service was absolute shit!!!!! Waited 30 minutes for us to be noticed then another 25 to get drinks!!! Worst service I have ever experienced!!!! read more

The service was great! However the questions I asked about the seafood items about the menu all were shot down in some way...for example the flounder dish, the waiter said it was a very small portion. The shrimp basket was not friend in traditional southern batter(cornstarch/flower + seasoning). So I settle for the grilled chicken sandwich. It was good a solid 6.3/10. This experience just confirms how bad chain seafood restaurants are at SEAFOOD. read more

We had the worst experience here!! We waited an hour and a half for our food. We never even received our appetizers and our food was cold! I do NOT recommend this place!! read more

I will not be back to this restaurant again! We was told there was a 15 minute wait for a table, because of being short staffed. 35 mins later we was seated. After a 10 minute wait for our waiter to take our drink order we waited an additional 15 for our drinks an to order food. When the food came out it was cold and tasted as if it was cooked earlier that day. The whole experience was horrible!!! Will not recommend it an will not go to this location again!!!! read more

My server (I don't remember her name) was really sweet. But it took almost an hour to get red beans and rice with a piece of chicken. I brought it back to the room and was highly disappointed. The red beans are too spicy and the chicken isn't seasoned. Wish I had gone somewhere else for my last night in town. read more

This place is a must try. Went there twice during our week long vacation in Biloxi and both times everything was perfect. Servers were friendly and service was quick both nights, one of which was a busy Saturday night. We ordered the Shrimp Net appetizer which was DELICIOUS! We got it mixed garlic and cajun which I highly recommend because the two flavors compliment each other perfectly. For dinner I had the Mahi and brussel sprouts and my husband got Bourbon Street Mahi. The fish was cooked to perfection, moist and flaky! The sauces with both dishes were yummy. Prices are very reasonable as well. read more

We stopped in for a late dinner on our way to hear a band at the Rush lounge. The atmosphere is casual and kid friendly. Our server, Latoya was excellent. I ordered a cup of the clam chowder with 1/2 oyster po-boy and fries. The chowder was fantastic and the fries were perfect! The oysters were just a tad over cooked, but still tasted great. Hubby ordered the Accidental and loved it! It was grilled trout over a bed of jasmine rice topped with shrimp. The lemony sauce was perfect. The restaurant is reasonably priced for a casino offering. read more

Talked my boyfriend into eating here because I had it at Universal Orlando and it was amazing! We got the shrimp Mac & cheese which was soo gross we both took bites & spit it out. No seasoning and the shrimp was little frozen shrimp.. I had the coconut shrimp which was not too bad. The service was very poor and we only got refills once. Food was very pricey too, i don't think we will be back. read more

This is a nice place. I love the deck area which has a perfect view of the pool. I tried the spinach dip, as it was late and I had an early dinner elsewhere. I did have an adult beverage, I can't remember the name though. It did come with a free souvenir glass, which was cracked. Didn't notice it until I made it home the next day. read more

Bubba Gump Shrimp - Southern Near Me - Biloxi, Mississippi

This was our first time eating here and we were not disappointed. It's a solid restaurant. Sitting on the balcony was a great idea. It overlooks the pool at the casino which at night is lit up. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Always kept us abreast of what was going on and checking on us. We started with the Shrimp Mac-n-cheese as our app. It was rich and delicious, especially with the bread crumb topping. Right before our entrées came out, the server asked us some trivia questions from the movie, Forrest Gump, which I thought was a nice touch. I had the Shrimp and Grits, with ham, onions, and andouille sausage. It was yummy, with jumbo shrimp. My wife had the "I'm Stuffed" Shrimp with Jasmine rice. The rice seemed plain, but the shrimp and stuffing were excellent. There are other menu items we'd like to try, so we'll be back! read more

Bubba Gump Shrimp - Delicious. - Southern Near Me - Biloxi, Mississippi

Have visited this location about 5 times now. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Service is great and fast, however, some of the dishes leave a lot of room for improvement. There is nothing at all "Cajun" about the secret Cajun spices used in the Shrimpers Net Catch. Seasoning is bland with no Cajun kick at all. Now, the Fried oysters are totally amazing. read more

Located inside Golden Nugget casino. Easy access from garage parking. Ate there twice this week. Raw Oysters, etouffe, and crab legs were all delicious at a reasonable price for a casino restaurant. Service was excellent both times. Will go back on my next visit. read more

The gumbo was the worst ever - no sausage, no okra, could not find any shrimp either. Just salty brown goo! Terrible experience. 0 stars.

First time trying it.... 30 minutes wait on a Wednesday at 1pm....no big deal till we get called saying our table is ready twice and it wasn't.... blahhhhh. Ordered the boiled shrimp for an app but it came out tasting like pure oil (not melted butter but pure cooing oil ) the picture on the menu looked like huge shrimp and seasoned very well, but what they served me was something totally different. My daughters simple kids burger was burnt, they forgot our sides had to ask several times for that and the kids jello. Coconut shrimp we tiny, like popcorn shrimp. My son got the popcorn shrimp kids meal and it was like one shrimp. It was a ball of shrimp clumped together not individual shrimp. It took well over 45 min to get our LUNCH on a weekday after 1pm. Service wasn't good food was horrible I would never go back and advice to make another choice before going here. I was so excited to try this place also and it crashed on food and service . Also went to park valet so I could get instructions on where the restaurant was located and after waiting over ten minutes for someone to come, we left because no one was there. Honked the horn 3 times. I wasn't the only vehicle to end up leaving :-( UPDATE!!!!just received a call from the casino with an apology. They said they were extremely busy yesterday not there norm for a week day and offered me two free entrees. Thanks! read more

PLEASE HELP!!! One evening, after work, my spouse and I decided to dine at the Bubba Gump inside of the Golden Nugget in Biloxi, MS. when the police was called on him. What was suppose to be an evening of just dining and enjoying each other turned into one of the worst experiences ever. So, to get to Bubba Gump you have to walk through the casino which means you have to stop by security. When we did, my spouse realized he had misplaced his divers licenses. We informed the security guard that we was not going to gamble but was just going to eat. He told us to go ahead as long as we didn't stop by any machine. So we went straight to the restaurant. When we got there we ate and then came time to pay for the bill. THIS IS WHERE IT GETS BAD.. He reached for his wallet then he hands our waiter his BANK DEBIT CARD. Then the waiter ask for his I.d. He then tells her that he doesn't have it and he must have left it at his orthodontist office. She says well, "It's my policy that I check I.d with every credit card purchase." He says, "Okay, but I'm not paying with my credit card I'm paying with my debit card." She replies, "Okay, let me just go ask my manager." She come back and say, "Well, we can't take this payment without your I.d do you have any other form of payment!" When he tells her that he only has his cards she gets the manager to come over.. Long story cut short she calls the police and accuse him of 1. Not having I.d for a CREDIT CARD PURCHASE! 2. Refusing to pay for a meal. Neither is the truth. He got pulled outside of the restaurant and questioned like a criminal. Even after the officers confirmed his identity they still refused the payments. The ENTIRE restaurant STOPPED and stared at us. Even the employees stopped serving. Our question is, if there is ANYONE who has ate at this restaurant and was NEVER asked to show I.d for your debit card purchase please let us know. We asked for the company policy on this matter and they didn't have a single thing with that written on it. No one should have the police called on them for trying to pay for a meal. Trying to send someone to jail for not having an I.d is unfair. read more

This establishment is very laid back. The servers are friendly and talkative. They made sure we were always taken care of. I also enjoy the decor in the restaurant. It's makes you feel like you are part of the movie. The food was excellent. The portions were perfect, but a little pricey. We ordered Spinach artichoke for our appetizer and it came out hot. Perfect portion of cheese and spinach. As an entree I got the New Orleans Shrimp. It was bursting with flavor! I'm not sure what the sauce was made of, but it was very good. I could eat that again in the same day and be okay with it. Then my boyfriend had the Shrimp Scampi. You definitely taste the lemon and butter in that dish. I prefer my dish, but that's because I'm not much of a tart person. I will definitely be back! read more

Wanted to post for the sake of the happy hour! If you are hanging at the pool at the Golden Nugget, this is the place to go from 3-6pm at the bar. Way better prices than ordering from the pool grill. We ordered the cheeseburger sliders. Homemade ranch may I add!!! Check this place out if you need an afternoon bite at the pool. Sweet deals! read more

We visited this restaurant since we had seen the movie and was staying at the Golden Nugget Casino. Let me just say that the view of the pool area from the balcony is breathtaking, but it ends there. The food is bland bland bland, and that's being kind. I ordered the Jenny's Surf and Turf and there was "NO SEASONING " NONE. The waitress, Tabitha, was excellent and kept trying to bring sauces to give my food some sort of taste. I tried adding salt, black pepper AND the two sauces provided. I still couldn't eat it. My 10 year old nephew tasted my broccoli, he LOVES BROCCOLI, and said, "No TT! This broccoli is not right and it tastes like it has no calories!" (I had to edit my review at his request, LOL... because we are in bed in our room and he is still talking about our experience today!) After letting our server know that I couldn't eat my food, The manager, Jessica, told my waitress that since I touched the Salmon, mixed in with the tasteless rice and broccoli, I could not change it for something else..... so beware.... If you taste the disgusting, tasteless food, the manager, Jessica, will accuse you of eating the food and claim there is nothing that they can offer you even though you let them know that the food is tasteless and has NO SEASONING!!!! Please please please don't waste your time, calorie intake or money eating here. The manager said she spoke to the chef, but it can't be more than a broken microwave in that kitchen. My experience here was awful. I will just add that my sister had the Forrest's Seafood Feast and the inside of the fish was gray and the beer batter on the outside of her grayed fish was stiff and hard. I hope this review saves a family from disappointment. We didn't read the reviews and it caused us this GOD AWFUL visit to Bubba Gump at the Golden Nugget Casino Biloxi.... NEVER EVER AGAIN... not even if it was free! The food, chef and the managerial skills here are lacking‼ The two stars are just for Tabitha , our waitress" efforts and the pool view. Kim read more

Bubba Gump Shrimp - The hard piece of fish with the gray interior. My food was taken to supposedly show the chef before I could get a picture of it. - Southern Near Me - Biloxi, Mississippi

Terrible experience. Our appetizer, 30 minutes after we got there, got served to someone else. The mozzarella sticks were the best I EVER had. But would I go there again for them? No. Service the rest of the meal sucked. The stuffed shrimp? Rubbery and lazily presented. Save your money and take the short ride to Ocean Springs and REALLY eat local. This is NOT even a tenth of a good representation of Gulf coast seafood. So disappointing. read more

Loved this place. Good choices on the menu. Great view. Also the portions are large so you'll most likely have left overs.

Golden Nugget has service issues everywhere. Still using vivid as an excuse to not have maid service and for terrible wait times at bars. But no place in the Golden Nugget has worse service than Bubba Gump. Even with comps I can't recommend this place. GN- you can do much better. Or at least you better or business will suffer. read more

Jasmine did a great job serving! I am very familiar with what fresh and well cooked (I.e., Fixed) seafood tastes like in the south. The fried shrimp were the best I have ever had. Ever. As a vegetarian I was quite underwhelmed with the selection of food that contained no meat or seafood at Bubba Gumps. I ordered an appetizer and a fancy strawberry blended mixed drink that looked lovely and I got a souvenir cup to take home. The drink was around $10 and was supposed to have many different liquors included in it. However, it tasted as if there were none. I've eaten at this chain before at the Orlando location. I don't remember much because it has been years since but I think after dining here last night, I remember that I wasn't pleased at all. The food was so bland. We ordered a garlic shrimp appetizer and they tasted like they were boiled in dirty dish water. They were gross! I ordered the chicken sandwich and it didn't have any seasoning. I forgot what everyone else ordered because I was just blown away by how my food tasted. I now know we will never eat here again. Our waitress was a sweet girl so one star for her. read more

This is a pretty good restaurant. You can get you all different kinds of shrimps. Don't nobody care. They got shrimps-kabobs, shrimps creole, shrimps gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimps, lemon shrimps, coconut shrimps, pepper shrimps, shrimps in soup, shrimps in stew, shrimps salad, shrimps and potatoes, shrimps burger, shrimps sandwich. That's about it. I got me a hamburger with some fries. And a cokecola. It was pretty good. read more

This place just opened inside the Golden Nugget and my wife and I went at 9:30pm this past Friday night and still had to wait half an hour to get a table, so expect it to be busy for a while. Their menu is quite large and most entrees range from $13-18, so it's not all that expensive compared to most other local places. In fact, it's cheaper than some. I got a feast type dish with shrimp, fish, and some excellent seafood hush puppies. Service was good and the food came out very quickly despite the place being packed. I would definitely go back. read more

Caveat: If you want top-notch Southern fare, you should go to one of the local Biloxi restaurants outside of the casino strip. This chain restaurant exceeded my expectations. The staff were friendly. Service was pretty quick, and the doors leading out to the outside area were open, which added a nice, fresh breeze to our meal. The shrimp gumbo was pretty good, but the oysters on the oyster po'boy were overpowered by the taste of the corn meal breading. They weren't up to my spice standards, but there was hot sauce standing by in a bucket on the table. The coconut shrimp was actually super good. It's my mom's favorite; I'd consider ordering their shrimp sampler in the future just to see how the rest of their line-up rates. What boosts my review up to four stars is that, out of all of the places I ate at the casino, this was the only one where I would have paid the "casino mark-up" on the food in a normal setting. The food was fresh and served with a smile. My meal was less than $15 (for soup and a sandwich). As a born Southerner, I have no qualms adding some hot sauce where needed, and it was conveniently located on my table. I definitely didn't feel guilty eating here or like I was wasting money. read more
