We have a tradition (my husband and I) to go to any bubba gumps when we are near one. So, it's kinda disappointing when you have a not great experience! The food was meh:/ they are always way over priced but that's not gonna change. The service was the main reason for my 3 stars though! The menu seems to be consistent with other Bubba Gumps we have eaten at. This location is attached to the casino. The staff seems to run around quite a bit. Ate there on 12-22-20 and I thought food was not too good. The skewed shrimp was cold and hard to chew definitely not fresh. The steak was cooked fine but was gummie not very flavorful. Service seemed polite enough. But for the first time on my trip I handed my credit card to someone; the waitress, my ticket says Angel? Angel I hope that wasn't you who tried to charge over a 1000 dollars on my credit card the very next day to various places. Causing me to have to cancel my credit card and claim fraud on those 6 charges. So now I'm down a card until I get back home from my trip. Loved the souvenir glasses and drinks. The Louisiana Homestyle Etouffee was good, but had some shells still on Shrimp and the smallest Crawfish I have ever seen or eaten. The best thing about this place is I was able to use comps to pay for most of it, so I was only out $20. Started with two cocktails. Mine was some kind of coconut flavor, it was ok but couldn't detect the slightest bit of liquor. The girlfriend had a forth of July layer drink, which I guess sat at the bar to long because it wasn't red, white and blue when it arrived at our table. For an appetizer we go the artichoke dip and added the shrimp for $1.50. They literally put 4 tiny rubbery tasting shrimp on top of the dip. Very small portion of dip but enough chips that we only needed about 1/3 of them to finish off the dip. For dinner we split a seafood platter, consisting of 1 catfish filet ( no flavor), a few fried shrimp (think Captain D's) 4 fried mac and cheese bites (soooo gross), 4 hush puppies ( the only reason I could see coming back) and enough fries to feed 4 people. Total bill $57 for 2 cocktails, appetizer and 1 dinner. Definitely overpriced with such poor quality. Sat on the balcony which was lovely, although it overlooks the pool and about 9:30pm there was a couple getting a little to personal right in the pool!!! We went in here on a wed. afternoon at 2 ;15 and ask the hostess, do you have soup, she said yes we have some gumbo, is it good, she said its ok. So we was seated in a booth and we sat and sat for about 12 minutes, nothing no service and nobody saying will be with you shortly. NOTHING. So as we got up and left told the hostess, we would have liked to eat here but nobody waited on us. She replied YAH I KNOW. We were greeted immediately upon walking in the joint which is an automatic one star for hospitality. Our waitress was friendly and kept the right timing of when to come to our table and when to stay away which is another star. The joint was very clean and to make things even better the sweet tea was delish which is another star. And last but not least, the food was very good. I ordered the grilled fish tacos and I went to town on them things. The salsa and sauce that comes with the tacos are great. I was fat and happy after devouring them, another star! Was gonna go two and a half but it won't let me. The only part here that was as good as you would expect was the ribs. The shrimp had good size but no flavor. Also got the cookie sundae and the cookie wasn't all that good or even really warm. For the price you pay it really wasn't worth it. We were there for a good part of the day so between the 4 of us, we got to sample a lot of food to the point where it would be hard to list each menu item but it all was great! The food, service, atmosphere were excellent as was our waiter Allen. If I point to any one part of the experience being superior to anything else, it had to be Allen. He gave quick, attentive service, entertained us with trivia and converation and had such a warm personality. When it was time to leave he thanked each of us individually and shook our hands.
