The ambiance is very upbeat! I was greeted and seated promptly. I cannot remember the name of my server, but she was phenomenal! I placed an order for a fried chicken sandwich, and popcorn shrimp as my appetizer. The popcorn shrimp were nice and sweet with a slight spice kick! The fried chicken sandwich was so comforting! A healthy and juicy seasoned fried chicken breast, topped with bacon and melted cheese! The fries were also crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! I really enjoyed eating here! Always a good meal eating at Bubba Gump's. This location is located downtown on the river walk. There's parking near the restaurant, but there's a price because of its downtown location. We made a reservation and were sat immediately. The restaurant wasn't super busy, but I did notice it took a while for things like drinks and extra condiments/sauces to come out when ordered. Our waitress was okay, again can't note spectacular service as it took her a while to get us things or even check on us during our visit. The food was delicious as always. The Mahi Mahi is good as are the coconut shrimp and sampler appetizer. The redfish is tasty as well. Going downtown isn't always the most convenient or quickest way to grab a bite to eat, but knowing this is the only location in the city, makes you want to make the trip. read more

This was the place one of the people I was celebrating a Fiesta event wanted to go after the event ended. It was my first visit. We were seated immediately and elected for the outside with a view of the River Walk. I ordered the coconut shrimp with coleslaw and hush puppies and everything was okay but not very tasty. The tables have license plates on them saying "run Forrest run" or "stop Forrest stop" to determine if you need your server to stop by your table or not. "Of course we have scampi" 10/10 Shrimp scampi. This was so good I was hoping to take leftovers back for a little snack later, but ended up eating it all! The lobster sauce was a delicious buttery sauce, shrimp was cooked pretty well, and pasta al dente. The dish as a whole was also seasoned pretty well. I loved the tomatoes in there too, they gave it an extra pop of freshness. My only complaint is the garlic bread was a little hard and crunchy, and didn't absorb the sauce very well if you dip it. read more

That was no problem. Yet minutes later, an entire family entered with drinks and they were seated no problem. The manager and other waitresses saw them enter with drinks and said nothing. This place is always busy since it's on the Riverwalk but we didn't have to wait since we went at 9 pm. We came in on a weekend night and the restaurant was busy! We didn't have to wait long to be seated, but the service throughout the night was pretty slow. You could tell that all of the servers were slammed. My husband and I have been to other Bubba Gump locations so we had high expectations for this location as well. However, we found our experience to be just okay. I'm not sure if they still do this but in the past, the servers would ask trivia questions during your meal. First off- our waiter "Cai" was awesome!! Also the Restaurant Manager- very friendly and helpful. We loved the energy. Beautiful view right on the Riverwalk- slightly sprinkling so it wasn't HOT and muggy as usual which really helped us enjoy it! It's Christmas time too so how could you not enjoy an outside table at Riverwalk! We just did a couple small things and drinks. Our drinks were refilled for us. Our 2 dishes came out quick ! We did 1/2 lb Cajun shrimp and a bowl of Gumbo which came with two big heaping scoops of Rice like it should. The shrimp was a little expensive at $15.99 for 1/2 lb but expected. The Gumbo bowl was $10.99 and worth it. Bubba Gump offers what you would expect .. CAJUN FOOD. Nothing over the top just some good ol Cajun food. Lots of fish and shrimp dishes - anything from appetizers to desserts of red velvet cake. Expect to pay from 10$-40$ for entrees. Overall yes we enjoyed it. We will be returning ! read more

It is a very busy restaurant, so you will see all servers hustling everywhere. I do think $20ish and above per plate, is a little over priced for the the type of food and environment you're in.
