Great management and wait staff. Food is fun and always tastes great! Try the bbq pizza but expect bbq flavor- great crust!

We forgot they just opened this week, and you honestly couldn't tell other than how busy they are. The inside was fun, upbeat rock'n'roll themed with nostalgic music from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. We ordered 12 traditional wings - hot. Not a traditional Buffalo sauce, but so much flavor and absolutely delicious. Id even dare to say the best wings I've had in Lubbock. Our server recommended the flavor and so glad we followed. For entrees, I had the black bean veggie burger with fire fries. I had ordered spicy so it would come with fried jalapeno cream cheese, but unfortunately it didn't come as ordered. Still edible, and still delicious. The patty doesn't fall apart like many black bean burgers tend to, and very thick. The fries are awesome, but don't eat more than a couple at once. They're not lying about the fire. My boyfriend had the Chipotle Chicken and Shrimp pasta. He enjoyed that from what I can tell, but he's very tight lipped when it comes to food. What is there negative to say about a place that has a menu full of great eats! Wings have a great crisp with plenty of meat and the sauce is "icing on the cake". The pizza is terrific and the crust has just the right flavor plus crunch! The Philly, pasta (hand rolled FYI) and burgers make this place a routine stop for me. Bubbas has amazing Shrimp po boys, fried chicken and other comfort foods. The service is always acceptable and the atmosphere works. Bubbas is always clean and the exterior has always been acceptable. If i had to be critical the only two things I would submit would be for the staff to be prepared and engaged with ALL customers and maybe for the ownership to be open to preparing larger portion sizes as most times after completing meals here there is a small sense of resentment for paying "Full price" for meals that seems to be "undersized" and a feeling that you were over charged for your meal. read more

So i've been here multiple times and it has been fine other than today when me and my wife and a friend went there to eat. For starters My wife's drink was not good and it had way too much lime in it and so we sent it back and got a different one. After that we waited for our food and when we got our food my friend's food was not good and the gravy was horrible and all over her food so she sent it back, Also there was a hair in my ranch that they did nothing about. At this point we were pretty much over it and we had asked for the ticket. The manager had taken the food off that my friend didn't like but the drink that was messed up was still on our ticket and they had told us that we had to pay for both drinks even though my wife did not drink any of the first one. We just decided to pay the ticket and we had asked if they did military discount and the manager Jackie rolled her eyes and went and put the discount on our ticket. I will definitely NOT be attending this restaurant anymore after how they treated us today and will be contacting the general manager very soon. read more

Well we went here about 3 weeks ago- my advice is if you just want a beer and fries etc ( pub food) then by all means go and enjoy- if you want a nice lunch then go somewhere else! The salad is like a bag of iceberg lettuce with chicken on top- lousy- / also the bus boys/girls were all standing in middle of restaurant just waiting to clear tables- not good - although I do understand it was busy as being new- maybe they've perfected that part? Bubba's seems more of a my family and your family hangout place than food. The service is often slow with servers working too many tables to be really hospitable. The chicken tastes like they do the mayonnaise rub before cooking to make juicy. Problem here is they run way too much and has an off taste. To do the appetizers and beer visits it's pricey. Other restaurants are better priced. Overall, I'll go if someone else offers or we are desperate for a change of pace, other than that, we avoid it. read more

My husband and I decided to take a second chance on this restaurant, since our first visit wasn't the best. I understand that it's difficult to work in the restaurant business and at times, it might be stressful. This visit was so disappointing. We waited over an hour and 30 minutes for our food. When we asked the server to go check on the status of our food, she gave us a small attitude .A worker in a red shirt with long dark hair showed up at our table randomly. My Husband and I already knew it wasn't a good sign. Long story short they forgot to put our order in this whole time. The lady decided to inform us that it was the kitchens fault and it has nothing to do with our server. She proceeded to give us a free meal coupon out of it,you really think we would come back after that? Whoever is running that establishment needs to have a talk with their employees. Maybe if they would spend less time talking about their personal life in the back, they would have more time to tend to their customers. Was very anxious to try this restaurant, heard they had a great selection of beer. Finally got a DD that could go with me and there was not a single beer on the menu that I consider "good". We got there early to be able to order, eat & leave before bulk of Friday crowd arrived. Plan did not work as staff communication skills faltered & order was not prepared per request, ie omit the raw onions from sandwich. Sandwich sent back & server assured us that a new sandwich would be prepared. Our salads & my companion's sandwich were served. Next word from server was that a "new" sandwich being prepared since kitchen staff had tried to resubmit by scrapping off onions. Thanked server for that info, worked on salad. Just about the time my companion finished her meal & my salad was done, we got fresh water. Another time lapse, during which management was apprised of problem , sandwich finally appeared 20-30 minutes after being assured it would be right there. So, sandwich which was finally delivered was fair; salad was mundane; and we weren't out of there early. I doubt that I'll return. read more

My server's name was Nevaeh, and she was awesome! She was so attentive. I highly recommend her! As for the cocktails, I had a Tito's mule. It was delish! But, the bartender, took forever and a day, just to make my drink. It shouldn't take 10 minutes, for a bartender, to make a drink, especially, when it isn't super busy. I don't blame the server, at all, for delay of my drink. I think all, of the bartenders, definitely need to step up, on making drinks. I also work, in the restaurant industry. read more

The food was trash, asked for a steak, (medium rare) broccol, and there mashed potatoe along with a side salad! when we got the food we noticed some of the food came out cold! my steak wasnt cooked how i asked! forgot like half my sides i asked for! One of the table cleaners had his whole ass hanging out of his pants! PULL YOUR PANTS UP NO ONE WANTS TO SEE WHAT KIND OF UNDIES YOU HAVE ON! working in a restaurant no one wants to see an emplee cleaning a table in front of them with his ass out!! over all this was a place i wont be coming back to! half a star if i could give it! read more

The experience here due to our waitress, Nina R, was horrible. My friends and I had come here after a week of nothing but straight exams. We were treated like we didn't exist and she tried to charge us 3 times for our food after we complained to the manager about our food coming out cold and waiting for an hour. She then never visited our table to refill drinks or anything, the manager then came and replaced the server with a much better one, Lynsey, and she was very sweet and accommodating. Our experience would have been a lot better because the food was actually good once we got hot food and our server was replaced. Our initial server really ruined our day and first impression. The manager and Lynsey made it somewhat better, trying to do damage control. read more

Food was awesome! The wings were meaty and the ribeye was cooked perfectly to temp. The pizza was delicious! We got the meaty meaty and it was on point. Food was definately worth the visit! Now....let's talk service. Our server was a young lady named Marlena. She was attentive, pleasant and a pleasure too talk too! This restaurant has barely been open less than two weeks and she was a champ under pressure. Apparently the tables surrounding us (we were just a party of 2) were all a large group and they had this young lady running her butt off. She handled all the pressure amazingly while at the same time never lost her attentiveness to us. Absolutely wonderful service. We would come back just too have the pleasure of her attentiveness! I have been in the restaurant business for over 10 years and have opened multiple restaurants myself and too see such a put together crew, great attitudes, teamwork and smiles is a definately a sign of an amazing environment and the hard work put together by the management. Service is terrible. Burger came out raw. Sent it back and took 20 minutes for it to come out again, and everyone else was finished eating. When talk to a manager she didn't seem to care. Went tonight expecting a good night per usual, we've gone multiple times and no problem what so ever and the waiters were amazing.. but tonight was a different story, my wings were plain not what I wanted.. the meat look pink still.. I always get loaded fries same thing as always but tonight the cheese seemed grainy and old like my food had been sitting there.. I only took 3 bites of my burger one cause there was onions and specifically asked for no onions.. was waiting for my waiter to come by so I could let them know the problems I had but it was like he was avoiding our table.. would look at us and walk past.. even made eye contact and proceeded to walk by no notice what so ever.. decided to suck it up and pay for food I didn't even eat.. came home which isn't even 5 minutes away and I run to the bathroom and puke up everything I just ate.. my girlfriend called the store cause I was puking in the bathroom she ask for a manager.... a lady answers the phone and pretty much just brushed off the fact that I was puking.. didn't help any.. proceeded to talk over my girlfriend and asked her name, number and that if she hears anything from CORPORATE then she'll give us a call.. how are u going to wait for corporate to help out a customer who goes there more often that not.. We will not be going back and it's sad because all the times before we had such great experiences and even tipped well because the waiters were amazing. read more

Worst experience ever had at any restaurant. First, over an hour wait due to them taking reservations. Web site shows opening at 11, but does not say anything about reservations and if you had to go through that crap about reservations and waiting, it's not worth it. Wanted to try, but we was not the only ones in a group of people that left from standing in line to find out about the stupid reservation crap. There are plenty of better restaurants to go to, that you don't have to waste your time waiting. read more

Let me preface by saying the main server was incredibly nice and the food was delicious. I am leaving this review solely because the male server who brought me my food tipped my drink which caused my pants, shoes and shirt to be soaked in lemonade. This restaurant was.great the first two times we went.. we've been THREE more times and the last two were horrendous. I know restaurants have off days so if I have bad service and or food, I typically give another chance. So we waited a few months and I graduated and Bubbas sounded good. My sister is in town from Kansas and had never been. We went and the service sucked as did the food. Took over 45 mins for us to get our food, the waitress didn't seem to care, order was wrong when we did get it, and we were told wrong price for drinks. Asked for manager and the manager didn't seem to concerned either and wasn't going to do anything but finally gave us like a small discount, but nothing major. This was a celebration dinner and I was SO dissapointed as was my sister. Also about 45 mins before we left my sister ordered a drink, it never came and when we got the ticket it wasn't charged. The manager took the ticket to give us the "discount" and brought it back along with the drink my sister ordered, even tho they all knew we weren't satisfied and were leaving. It's ridiculous and like I said manager didn't care and wasn't to professional. Save ur time and go to a better place. Rude and unprofessional! read more

we went at around 11:30am for lunch and it was still quite busy, however the service was fantastic. i believe our waitresses name was Ashley? she was fantastic. the food was what you'd expect once again from a sports bar. there is a very vide variety of options for food and you could basically eat whatever you're in the mood for, from sandwiches to hand tossed pizzas. i tried the fried shrimp and there was a small hair fried into a piece of it. i did not cause a scene but rather informed her about it and she was very concerned and handled it correctly. all around, i would recommend this for a good time, just don't go at dinner time unless you make a reservation because you'll be waiting 45 min and probably won't be guaranteed a table. read more

Been going to Bubba's for years and so happy they are now in Lubbock. And this location is right in n line. I've never had a bad meal. From a simple salad, the pizza, wings, burgers and salmon. Waited awhile to get our drinks and then order. Waited for refills when she walked to the table right next to us 3 times and never asked. Had to ask for silverware 2 times before any were brought. This is my first time ever leaving a review, but I felt the need to let others know of my experience. First of all there was no wait, which was a plus. I received a refill of my water and it had little black specks of something floating in it and on the ice so I let the waitress know and just decided not to drink anything else. You can't be in a hurry if you are on a lunch break as it took about 30 minutes to get a burger out. The food was just decent. Nothing to write home about or rant and rave to others about. They must portion out the Tater tots because there were about as many as you would get with a kid's meal somewhere else. I paid my tab of a little over $11.00 for the burger, with a $20.00 bill. The waitress told me they did not have change and gave me just a $5.00 bill back. Really?? I was not happy there but I was going to tip her anyway. I guess she made my decision for me. Bottom line is that I would not recommend this place. This place does not add up for the price, service, or cleanliness. read more
