Was going to Top Golf in The Colony for a date night. However, the wait was long as I didn't make any reservations so we decided to go to Bubba's 33. My coworker told me that he went to the east Texas location and that their pizza was bomb! I just had to try it out! Upon arrival, the place was rocking but there was still ample of parking! Got greeted with friendly staff members and got seated promptly. They also got our drinks quickly as it was placed by the hostess. They displayed great team work here and that's how they make the experience wonderful! Our waiter greeted himself and ensured that we had drinks and if we wanted to try any appetizers. It was such a great service! We ordered wings, onion rings, pizza and a Stromboli. Everything came out correct and fresh!!! I myself had the pizza and it was really good!!! You'll have to try it out! My wife and I had an awesome experience! Now, if you are wanting a quiet place for a date night, this is not the place. This environment is kid friendly with a bunch of TV's and an awesome music playlist that was being played! My wife and I reminisced each song on the playlist. Love the environment. Every customer especially kids seemed happy! Overall, great experience! Hooray for next level deliciousness! I had the lasagna and it is all made in house. So fresh and delicious. Their fried chicken was fork tender and amazing! They have a family dining room and a more quiet area for seating if you just let them know you prefer a more quiet area. The bar area is all open seating. I WAS a regular customer at Bubba's 33. The week of Christmas Eve, BOTH my wife and daughter called to check their holiday hours. We were told they would be closing at 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve. No worries. We arrived at 5:45 planning to have an early, 6 p.m. meal. We were greeted with a door sign that announced they were closing at 6 p.m. Three other groups of patrons were entering---only to walk away---they had all been told the closing time was 9 p.m. as well. Any business can set hours. That's not in question. The issue is that when you tell your customers you're open certain hours (especially holidays when there are limited options) then change your mind, it's an inconvenience and unprofessional. read more

We stopped by on a super busy Saturday evening at the beginning of the dinner rush. Wait to be seated wasn't long at all. We have a kiddo with severe food allergies, we ordered her food first and explained what we needed to the waitress. Even though they had a very busy kitchen the kitchen manager came out to make sure that they were preparing it the way we needed it to be. Food was great and our family had a great meal. If you don't have anything to do go for it. I eat here at a minimum of once a week. Sunday went for late lunch, approximately 3:14. Stood at hostess's counter till the girl woke up. She was lying in her arms with her head down on the counter. I told her just me. She asked how many. Oh boy this is gonna be fun. Finally she seats me. After about 8 minutes I stop a waitress walking by and asked her if anyone was working this section. She goes to the manager which looks right at me and walks to the kitchen. The nice waitress comes back and stated manger gettin server. The manager never came to my table. I waited maybe another 5 minutes and walked out. Wasted almost 15 minutes. read more

My fam originally fell in love with Bubba's 33 while visiting family in Kansas. One of those sad moments you fear you won't get to have the tasty awesomeness again soon. We were all too excited when we learned there was one much closer to us & we were even more delighted that they indeed held up to the deliciousness we had fallen for previously. We have been a couple of times since & will definitely be going back again. There are several memorable dishes we've enjoyed so far. The appetizers & sides ... we love love love their onion rings, tots, & queso dip with chips! So much so we haven't even tried all of them yet because we keep reordering those. The onion ring batter is flavorful, not too thick, & finger lickin' good. The queso dip had us practically licking the skillet clean. The tater tots are some of the best ever & we also enjoy with their seasoning, but also amazing plain if you can't handle the kick of spice. The burgers are all amazing. We have tried several. Hubby & I adore the unique "puck" that comes on their habanero burger (good news it can be added to any burger for an amazing low price if you're not into the extra spicy & can also be ordered a la carte... psst I highly recommend with ranch!) which is a deep fried cream cheese patty with jalapeño! My go to has become the shrimp poboy with tots. So flavorful & big enough to share. Another Dave of mine & my daughter's is the chicken parm sandwich. Yum. Yum. Yum!!! My mom has fallen in love with them lasagna requesting it every time she's been & wanted it to go when she's missed the outting. Side note all of their sauces are delicious & homemade we were told. We have enjoyed each as accompanied on their dishes or as extra dipping options for the fries, tots, or onion rings. We honestly have not tried anything we didn't like yet. This is one of the few places we have found that every member of my family jumps at the chance to revisit. The staff have all been terrific at every location too. The environment is mid noise level as they have the tvs going all around the restaurant, so if you prefer a quieter meal or have any who are sensitive to noise earlier in the day or when games aren't on may be best for you. Nice restaurant that offers a variety of food items and cocktail. They have good burgers and appetizers. I suggest the Fiesta dip. They are known by the locals so you will have a 15-25 minute wait unless you call ahead. They offer covid 19 restrictions to assist with safety. The staff is professional and nice. They have cocktails at reasonable prices. The only downfall is their salads are not good enough and they don't offer enough vegan options. Nice for solo, friends or family. Easily some of the worst food in DFW. Ordered the turkey sandwich on focaccia. It was beyond greasy, although I'm not even sure how since it's...ya know... turkey. The bread was *soaked*, like it was the greasiest burger ever. Either that, or they dropped it in the dishwater on the way out. Wife's burger was flavorless with rubbery bacon. We both forced down half our meals before giving up. Definitely won't be back unless every restaurant within a 100 mile radius closes due to covid. read more

Had the best service and dinner here on a Saturday night! Highly recommend the fish and chips with side salad and blue cheese dressing

We came in here and ordered chicken wings and a shrimp appetizer , hot chicken sandwich, fried shrimp entree. The wings were not good they were Soggy and the Teriyaki flavor tasted particularly terrible. Raspberry chipotle were extremely sweet (think maple syrup sweet) and hot was fine taste wise but not texture wise. The chicken sandwich was pink in the middle and when you squeezed the chicken you could see the blood stain the bun. The shrimp was good not amazing but decent The manager explained that part of the culture of the place is to make the chicken "extra juicy" including the wings and that in the future we would have to ask to get it cooked a few extra minutes so that it's crunchy. . When i went home i got food poisoning from the undercooked chicken. The only reason I'm giving two stars instead of zero stars is that the service wasreally good. read more

Grand opening week for Bubba's 33 and perfect timing as I was looking for something new to try!! We were quickly welcomed as we went in a door that looks like the front with an entry sign on it but was locked :) so a manager was there helping open it for folks. We were seated in the dining area near the kitchen which unfortunately was a constant back and forth of employees.... a very busy location to be seated. Leniency for grand opening as friends were coming in to see employees.... friends were seated that servers were hanging out chatting with.... it was uber congested where we were. However, our server MORGAN was phenomenal. She would pop up with fresh drink refills without ever asking so we knew she was being super attentive ! She got everything spot on and we had a to go order as well... she was so friendly too!! We were give. The garlic knots to try and these were very yummy! They come with a marinara and cheese wiz type dipping sauce. The cheese wiz wasnt my favorite but the bread was very yummy!! I did a side salad which was actually quite large AND I am not a crouton lover so was I happy to see no croutons but a fun topping of crispy potato type crisps how fun!! Tried the chipotle chicken pasta and wow this is just a great all around dish. Not too spicy. Plenty of chicken, and the garlic bread equally yummy. The fish and chips were good as well. This comes with coleslaw which I liked. Margaritas were ordered as drinks and these were a win! I also have to note with all the employees back and forth or chatting with friends or visiting with visitors ....one employee , HEATHER made sure to LOOK and STOP even though she wasnt out server and would take any plates or cups from our table. Had garlic knots and fried pickles for starter. They were great. They give you marinara and cheese sauce with the garlic knots. Cheese sauce was the best. Had Bubba sauce with fried pickles. My hubby said they were the best fried pickles he has ever had. Dinner for me was fish and chips. Hubby had chicken tenders. All wonderful. Fish was flakey and batter was crispy. Tater sauce spot on as well. My husband enjoyed his tenders, said the honey mustard was wonderful. Portions are huge. Recommend you share a plate if getting appetizers.
