Bubbly University is part of the Yelp Boba Bracket, offering 25% off with check in. Keep in mind, if you are using the check in offer, you have to order with the cashier I don't normally drive to Roseville. I had the day off and wanted some boba. I decided to try out Bubble University because they were part of the Boba Bracket on Yelp. The lady who helped me was really nice, she was patient in answering all of my questions. I ordered the roasted oolong (shout out to the lovely young lady at the counter for the recommendation!!) with oat milk, 50% sweetness, and quarter of ice. I added the golden boba, which is BU's specialty boba made from brown sugar. I must say it's a really good drink! I normally go for really sweet drinks. The roasted oolong had a hint of sweet, but, a nice and mellow tea flavor. The golden boba added the sweetness I wanted it without being too much. The store doesn't allow more than 3 customers inside at once and you have to wait outside after placing your order as part of Covid19 precautions. I enjoyed the roasted oolong a lot. We went here because I got a free drink here and my wife bought her drink using the 25% coupon. Here are some useful tips as I believe these rules will be in there for awhile: 1. If you are using the Yelp check in 25% coupon go to the front and the owner will take care of it. If not then, order from the kiosk in the front. 2. No cash, only credit card 3. Only 3 people are allowed inside. Otherwise you have to wait in line. Then, it can get confusing who is waiting for drinks and who is waiting for line. 4. Once you place your order you wait outside and then come back at a certain time. I ordered the tiramisu drink. Make sure you shake your drink as I ended up drinking the sweet stuff in the beginning and then coffee at the end. I ordered extra sweet which was great. It was really cool to see that Bubble U. in LA has a location here in Sacramento! The quality between the two shops is amazing and is one of the best options for boba if you're in Sacramento area. Another thing to mention is that they have Snackpass which is an online ordering app. You can order ahead through the app or in store via iPad which is powered by Snackpass. Either way, I believe if you enter your phone number, you earn points! Ordering in store was super easy and my drink came out really fast! Fortunately, the Sacramento area is seeing a lot more of these pop-up all over the place. And the business I am reviewing is none other than "Bubble University" in Roseville. Located on busy Sunrise Ave and adjacent to Cirby Way in the southern part of Roseville, this business is a relatively new addition to this area. It neighbors an L&L Hawaiian BBQ and it shares the parking lot to other major retailers and businesses. Parking is relatively easy to find as it is quite spacious. I arrived here with my lady around 6:30 PM on a Saturday evening. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, only a maximum of 3 customers were allowed inside. Also keep in mind that due to the pandemic (as this review was written in September 2020), the business is not currently accepting cash. However, they do have a digital kiosk with a complete lineup of their drinks on the menu. I ended up going the sweet route and tried an Oreo cookie milkshake. The price was a reasonable $4.50 and much lower than other smoothie/milkshake places in town. After making the selection, I inserted my debit card to pay for my drink then patiently waited outside. Total time only took a few minutes as it had gotten quite busier after I placed my order. As far as the flavor of my milkshake, it was absolutely on point! It had real Oreo cookies blended in and even a complete Oreo cookie on top as shown in the picture. The employees here do an amazing job and I can definitely tell by reading many other positive Yelp reviews. Overall, "Bubble University" is a great place to cool off on a hot day. Amazing service, generous portions with their drinks, and prices that you cannot beat. My rating, a unanimous five stars. read more

Visited as part of the Boba Bracket and also happened to be the location of my free drink. Picked up a few items as well as Boba is always a family affair. Appearance - Simple and clean appearance and a self serve kiosk. Most of the store blocked off likely due to covid restrictions. Variety - Decent variety of items but it was a little hard to navigate the whole menu. Having a list of all items on one of the walls or the outside wall would help greatly. Service- There wasn't much interaction due to self serve kiosk but staff was friendly and I had no issues picking up any of my drinks. Price - Pretty standard pricing compared to its competitors. Quality - Really enjoyed the Tiramisu but not a big fan of the Boba. They had run out of their Golden Boba which was a bit of a disappointment. Decided to give this place a try after a fail attempt trying to "window shop" at Roseville Galleria. Upon entering you will need to order through a white kiosk which is located on the far right; you can't miss it! They won't be taking in-store order at this time. I also overheard from the staff it's a 3 person max upon entering the store...but when my boyfriend and I left, more than 3 flocked in...crazy. They don't have a wide range of options compare to other boba shops but that helps with those who are picky (cough cough me cough cough)! I ordered the Thai Milk tea with 125% sugar, quarter ice, "organic" milk and with golden boba. My boyfriend ordered the Matcha Milk tea and the only difference between mines and his was the sugar level lol. We both loved their golden boba! It had the right chewiness and texture! Not to mention it was sweet! Delicious! He liked his Matcha Milk tea but I was slightly disappointed with mines. I think they need to brew their Thai tea a bit more because I barely tasted any tea flavor...sad. Their prices are reasonable considering how BIG the drinks came out! We had the grapefruit slush, oreo cookies, mango smoothie (loved by many), honey milk tea, lavender milk tea, strawberry island, iron goddess oolong, thai iced. They have diff sweetness. I don't like Dutch bros bc they're ridiculously sweet. So fearing similar i got reduced sugar here and it was too bland. I actually liked 100% sugar. Also have diff milks u can get your drink with- oat, almond, milk. Usually just got regular milk. The only bad thing is that it's pretty pricey once u add in boba or other toppings. The watermelon drink was lukewarm and had tons of watermelon seeds in it. It just tasted like watermelon blended with water. The grapefruit slushee was nice and tart and cold. Not only was this drink super pretty but the sweetness of the rose balanced the bitterness of the matcha so well. Bubble University is one of the better places to get milk tea from in Sacramento. I get the milk tea (made with black tea) and cream. The cost of adding boba to your drink is $0.85, which is pricey imo. They also don't add that much boba unless you pay more to double it. read more

First time visit on a Saturday afternoon! Bubble University took the place of Rita's! Bubble university is a boba/coffee spot with small sweet desserts like macaroons! Located in the complex of Starbucks, wingstop, L&L bbq, and rite aid! This boba spot is still new but I really hope it stays! Inside is clean and modern.... BUT it needs some more decor to brighten it up and make it feel more alive! It has some decor but still seems like it needs a POP! Employees are really nice! I believe the owner was taking the orders and she was training a new employee! The owner was a female and she was very welcoming and nice! Next time I will get her name! We ordered two drinks: a Mango smoothie with boba and a black sugar milk with golden boba! Both drinks are delicious! The mango smoothie was sweet, creamy, and tasted fresh! I've been wanting to go to Bubble University for a while now and I'm so glad we finally got to try it! It's a cute little boba shop in Roseville where the old Rita's Italian Ice used to be. I was a bit confused because the larger sign outside says "Natural Tea Shop" but if you look closely the smaller sign in side says "Bubble University." I read so many great reviews on the Luna Matcha so I had to try it. It did not disappoint! I got it with half ice with 25% sugar and I thought the flavors of the matcha, tea, and cheese foam blended very well. I'm a big fan of matcha so I'm glad that their matcha tasted authentic and didn't taste like flavored syrup. Tried it with the golden boba and their boba had a good consistency, even towards the end of the day. I don't usually get toppings unless the boba is really good and i would probably get their boba again. I had a sip of the oolong tea as well and the tea was strong and tasted like real tea. The staff was very nice. There was a little bit of a wait for drinks, a little over 10 mins but worth it. Definitely coming back! read more

One star off due to the customers are the ones putting in the order at a kiosk. I mean if you have been there before ok sure it's great fast and easy but it was our first time there and I wanted to get an item that had the cute designs. It was really irritating that I had to ask for help and in a way the workers didn't want to help. They did though but I had to wait for other customers to order every time I couldn't figure it out. Lots of customers do come on here but I really don't understand why because the drinks are really pricey!! It's like your buying the cup and the cuteness but I'm sorry to say they drinks are not good. Good luck if you would like to try this place. This place is cute! 3.4/5 I honestly think the drinks are decent , especially for the area. The signs are really confusing tho. It says Bubble university but says a different tea place on a sign above this location, so we passed it a few times. The inside is really clean cut and has really cute aesthetics. Adorable little fake succulents and white vibes. In our order we got The taro smoothie and tiramisu coffee. I was hesitant to get the tiramisu coffee so the cashier said if I didn't like it I would be able to change it. The taro smoothie : 4/5 tiramisu is very very coffee 2/5.. I change my drink to a mango and cream and that was delicious! Definitely 5/5! The boba is very tasty too! If you're In the area I recommend this place. They serve very unique macrons as well. Rose Tea Lounge is my favorite tea shop but it's all the way in Elk Grove. So when I want a good affordable drink, I usually stay local and go to Bubble University. It's a very small shop and has a lack of outdoor seating. The seating indoors is usually pretty adorable with tiny plants and such. They have a fancy machine where you can customize and order your drinks at. Everything is fairly cheap and affordable which makes it a good place to go when you don't feel like breaking the bank. The drinks themselves come in fun cups, and are always very colorful. The presentation is always a delight when I get my drinks. They have so many choices from tea, matcha, smoothies, and even coffee. There are so many ways to customize a drink like sweetness, flavor, adding boba, and toppings. If you're in the mood for a high quality but affordable drink, I highly recommend you come stop in at Bubble University and give it a shot yourself. I'd rate Bubble a 9.5/10 overall. read more

I came to Bubble University, located in Roseville, during Yelp's Boba Bracket event. They have an ordering kiosk inside the store and a counter to pick up drinks. However, I ordered at the counter, the Strawberry Island with agar boba (which was my free drink) and a Thai Milk Tea with regular boba. I went for a walk around the plaza while waiting for my drinks. When I got back, my drinks were ready and waiting for me. The Strawberry Island is part of their fresh fruit series and has strawberries and green milk tea. I asked for no ice and it was no problem. The drink was tasty and refreshing and the boba was great. I also tried the Thai Milk Tea with boba and it was pretty good if you like Thai milk tea flavor. I liked the Strawberry Island a little more because I liked the fruit flavor with the milk tea. The store was pretty clean and had design of wizards inside. My experience at Bubble University was pretty quick as I just ordered, picked up, and left. Boba Bracket month makes me so excited! I can have boba and not feel bad about gaining ten pounds because it is for a good cause finding the best boba in town. I stopped at Bubble University, and I ordered the Tiramisu Latte and the Brown Sugar Milk tea with boba and fried top. I devoured the brown sugar milk tea within minutes of getting it. It was so light and creamy. I just got the regular amount of sweet, perfectly mixed, and the boba was soft and fluffy, not too hard or chewy like I have had before. Out of the two drinks, this was my favorite, but the Tiramisu Latte was good; it was less sweet, I believe due to the coffee, and it was rich and creamy with, topped with a like a mascarpone type cream on top and dusted with chocolate powder. We asked for 50% sweetness and that was perfect for us, but I feel like the drinks lacked flavor. When we ask for 50% sweetness at other tea places, the drinks still have a strong flavor, instead of just feeling like they added water to the concoction here. My friend had told me about this place and their cute designs, so we stopped by one Friday evening. We were the only customers there. The menu board was a bit complicated because the ones in the photo by their register did not have names identifying the drinks (like "Alice in Wonderland") and those names weren't on the main menu board. I'm sure the employees get inundated with constant questions like, "What's in the ___?" all day long. Maybe if they could put better descriptors in the menu board, that would be incredibly helpful. Perhaps it's because they're still somewhat new and haven't updated everything yet. We also learned that only certain drinks (with the salted cheese/foam) will come with a cute design, so we had to ask them which drinks had that. We ordered an Alice in Wonderland and a Luna Matcha. We were told the designs are usually random, but since we were the only customers there, we asked for our Pikachu and Hello Kitty. The process took longer than your normal tea shop but we figured it was because they're new and the designs must take a little more time than usual. I'm glad we were the only customers there, otherwise I'd imagine it'd be a long wait if there are multiple customers at a time. I think I still much prefer Happy Lemon though, with their easy-to-understand menu board and flavorful drinks. But I would return if we were in the area. It was terrible. The coffee was bitter and the cheese foam was weird. Not like any others I've ever had. My daughter ordered the Avocado Mama. I what was in it & if it could be made vegan. They said yes. We replaced the milk with soy milk. Get the drink and it has cheese foam!!!! WE ASKED FOR VEGAN!!!!! And I was not told it came with cheese foam.
