Literally trash. They gave me a bubble waffle (which is always made from scratch) quicker than they gave me my change. It's undercooked and tastes like coagulated dough. It was barely warm. Really enjoyed their build your own noodle soup option! You select your broth, noodles, and toppings and get a large piping hot bowl of soup for ~$7-8. I had the thick noodles with Szechuan broth, beef, and cheese balls. It was super yummy until I bit into a full size Szechuan peppercorn which - for those not familiar- will leave your mouth numb for hours. Bubble waffles are perfect with a crispy outside and soft, light, eggy dough on the inside. They have interesting flavors such as green tea, Oreo, sesame, and cheesecake. I got the black sesame and it gave the bubble waffle a nice fragrant, nutty flavor. My friend has the green tea which was very yummy if you're a matcha fan. The original is always a good go to as well. Eat it while it's still warm as the dough becomes more chewy as it cools. Drinks are only $2 hot or cold. I will be reminiscing about these bubble waffles for a long time. Even though we only spent 2 and a half days in Vancouver, we came here twice. Each waffle is $3.75, or you can get 2 for $6. The waffles had just the right amount of sweetness and the perfect texture. There are definitely no places in California that make these waffles this well. Their iced HK style milk tea was also pretty good, since it wasn't too sweet and had a strong tea flavor. They had a $7.95 combo (noodle soup w/ 2 toppings, waffle, and drink) that seemed like a pretty good deal, which I unfortunately didn't get a chance to try. Service was perfectly fine, and they still accepted my credit card when I only ordered one waffle, which is super convenient for American tourists who don't have Canadian cash. We have ate here many times for a simple, quick, and very frankly, an economical meal. I just realized that they have once again increase their price by another dollar. It may not sound like a lot, but a dollar hike from a $7.5 meal, that's a 13.3% increase. And this is the second or third time they have increase their price in the past SIX months! I ordered a meal online and when i went to pay for it the cashier gave me the wrong change. The meal was $7.40 and i gave her $20.40. She gave me no change and i had to ask where is my 13 dollar changed? The cashier said, "oh, i need to ask my manager to look through the security camera?" Her tone made it seem like i was trying to rob their store, which ironically they were trying to rip me off. If someone was as dense and had a short term memory, this would be your person. After waiting for about 20 minutes, the cashier apologized and compensated me with a waffle. Their compensation was not worth the wait or the attitude by treating their customer like a criminal. They handed me a $10 bill that is fake I asked for a new one and this women started to argue with me about how it is just a old $10 bill not the new ones . I told them that if this were to be a older $10 bill this would of been wrinkly and the bank wouldn't carry the old ones no more . But they still argued with me saying it's real . I got fed up and I told them to check it themselves !!
