    Tiramisu
    Brian B.

I had a great experience at Bucatini. I started with the tuna tartare, which was fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. For my main course, I ordered a lobster special that wasn't on the printed menu; it was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, the kind of dish that makes you feel lucky you asked what the chef was offering that night. I finished with a tiramisu that was easily the best non-traditional tiramisu I've ever had--modern in style but still capturing all the classic flavors. I paired everything with a very good glass of Sancerre, which worked perfectly with both the seafood and dessert. Service was warm and attentive throughout, and the overall atmosphere was spot on for what you look for in an elevated but not overly stuffy night out.

The food was absolutely delicious. The dining room is nice but we opted to sit outside so can't say much about it. Our first waiter was really wonderful, he was professional, attentive and honestly he should be at a Michelin restaurant. But his shift was over halfway through our meal. The 2nd waiter was fine, but she was not as attentive and I will say the restaurant was busy.. when we asked for the check we waited for at least 30 min until my friend had to go inside to find her. She was busy chatting with another table. Aside from that I recommend the food and hopefully you'll get a server who doesn't get as side tracked! Still giving 5 stars.

I came to Bucatini for a work dinner and really enjoyed it! One thing I noticed was that it was a good mix of both corporate diners and personal diners, so it's definitely a place to go whenever! I really liked their appetizers here! I had a chance to share them with my team and some that stood out to me were the tuna tartare, octopus, and salmon cigars. For my entree, I had the veal parm and I really enjoyed it!

My experience at Bucatini in New York was fantastic from start to finish. From the moment we walked in the door, the atmosphere felt warm, inviting, and full of character. The restaurant had that perfect balance of being lively and energetic while still feeling comfortable and welcoming. We were greeted right away, and the service throughout the entire meal was attentive, friendly, and thoughtful, which made the whole experience even better. We started with the calamari, and it was an excellent way to begin the meal. It was cooked perfectly -- crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned just right. It had that fresh, flavorful quality that makes you immediately know you are in for a great dining experience. The bowl of clams was just as impressive. The clams were fresh, savory, and packed with flavor, with a broth that was so delicious we wanted to keep enjoying every last bite. It was the kind of dish that feels both simple and elevated at the same time. The squid ink pasta was one of the standout dishes of the night. It was rich, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The pasta itself had the perfect texture, and the sauce complemented it wonderfully without overpowering the dish. Every bite felt bold and satisfying, and it was clear that a lot of care went into both the presentation and the flavor. The parmesan chicken was another highlight. It was hearty, comforting, and full of flavor, with a crispy coating and tender chicken inside. The parmesan added a great savory depth, and the dish had that classic Italian comfort-food quality that makes you want to keep coming back for more. It was prepared in a way that felt familiar but still special. To finish the meal, we had the New York style cheesecake, and it was the perfect ending. It was smooth, creamy, and rich without being too heavy. The crust was excellent, and the cheesecake had that classic New York style flavor that is both indulgent and satisfying. It was a memorable dessert that tied the whole experience together beautifully. Overall, Bucatini delivered an outstanding dining experience. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere made the evening feel special from the moment we arrived. Every dish we tried was well prepared and full of flavor, and it was clear that this is a place that takes pride in both quality and hospitality. I would absolutely recommend Bucatini to anyone looking for a great Italian meal in New York, and I would happily return again.

Amazing food, wonderful service. The burrata was some of the best I've ever had! Ordered the pappardelle for my main course, it was delicious!

Good is fabulous! I liked their pizza more than the pasta. Muscles were also fantastic! Both times I went around opening so it was not so busy and the service was very good! I definitely will go back again.

There might be a lack of Italian restaurants in this section of Midtown. Bucatini does fill the gap but I think it's more catered for corporate/work lunch or clients lunch than it is for a casual, family and friends sit down. Food was decent. Nothing was bad. Pizza was good but not amazing. But for the prices ($24 ish for the pizza as a baseline guide), you can find better elsewhere if you go 5-10 blocks in any direction. Obviously rent here is high and might justify the pricing. The service was underwhelming. We sat at the back of the restaurant with a nice view of the kitchen (semi-open because it's behind a big pane of glass). But the wait staff going in and out of the kitchen entrance and exit was quite annoying - lots of forcing the door open the wrong way (like a loud car collision), some swearing because of dropped dishes, etc. Sure, stuff happens but I think keeping it behind closed doors would be better here. We also had some of our apps mistakenly delivered to another table. Technically, it gets sent to the kitchen and not necessarily should be delivered back out to us because it touched the other table. But I saw the wait staff take it through the kitchen, walk it through the kitchen (as I saw they the glass open kitchen) and bring it back out as if new. So if you do come here, I wouldn't recommend sitting by the kitchen.

There's not much to say, but the food was just really good. The black fettuccini is the star. I'm not sure if it's the dish, or the fact that their red sauce is so perfectly balanced. The service could use some work (inattentive staff, a bit too old school/traditional), but I'll give them some excuses because good food is good.

Hazelnut gelato, affogato (w hazelnut gelato), and a chocolate covered tiramisu (all amazing, but our favorite was the tiramisu)

What an amazing experience! While in the area I checked out Yelp to find a spot. You steered me right! The place is very nice, but the prices aren't bad for the area. We also weren't dressed up, but you definitely can. It has a nice looking bar. We sat in a booth that was very comfortable. The service was amazing. Our server, Omar was so thoughtful from beginning to end. He helped give us suggestions. They also worked with us because we had a specific request- they went above and beyond to help. We order the focaccia bread and the bucatini with vodka sauce and chicken. It was delicious!!! The chicken was seasoned well. The pasta and the sauce was so yummy!!! I mentioned to Omar that we had a couple of birthdays with us and made us all feel very special and sang with desserts and candles. It was just such a great experience with delicious food, very nice and chic ambiance, and amazing service. I believe Brandon was the name of the person that was helping Omar. They were both just so thoughtful and warm. They really made an effort to provide great service. Highly recommend!!

Amazing food. Outstanding service. A true gem. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. Omar and his crew delivered attentive, friendly, and seamless service that made the evening feel special. The atmosphere was intimate and cozy perfect for catching up with old friends......didn't take pictures of everything because we were too busy enjoying the moment, but I did capture a few shots of the appetizers, salad, and dessert. The Caesar salad was crisp with a flavorful dressing, the focaccia delightful, the sole perfectly cooked, the red snapper fantastic, the short ribs melted in my mouth, and the spaghetti bolognese -- hands down the best I've ever had. The drinks were excellent, and the tiramisu was decadent, scrumptious, and beautifully presented. Omar's leadership truly made the night shine. I will go back again and again. AND AGAIN !!!

Came here for a quick group lunch on a weekday, and was surprised with how busy the space was! The overall architecture is beautiful, and certainly takes you away from the typical bustle of midtown. In terms of food, I tried the focaccia, arancini, and bucatini with vodka sauce. The arancini was probably my favorite, as the smokiness of the pancetta inside was delicious. The bucatini was alright, but wish there was a little more acidity, or sides to have made the pasta for delicious (like mushrooms or onions). We sat in the back booths, but noise level within the restaurant was too loud as it was very hard to hear each other at our own table. A nice space to take someone to, but would recommend sitting towards the entrance given the higher ceilings (and would anticipate less noise).

Three of us went before a show. We loved the ambiance immediately! Great service and we love being called "Bella" We decided to have a little of everything before the show at once. I think at first they weren't excited about that but it worked out wonderful. The focaccia, calamari, cesear salad, and margherita pizza were all delish!!

Met a friend for dinner here after work since we both work in the area. When we arrived at the 6:30 pm, the place was very busy. When i first walked in, there's a small bar right in front and there was a large party seated at a table in the far left and the hostess table was to the far right. The hostess escorted us back past the bar to a table on the main level dining area. There is also an upstairs which I never got to see. The ceilings felt very low in the dining area and there was minimal natural light since the only windows were those from the front. If we had been seated further back in the dining room, I would not have liked it. There were several large parties. There also these very romantic little booths built in the wall that could accommodate parties of 4. It was very loud inside - besides the low ceilings contributing to poor acoustics, there was also club/EDM music playing loudly. The vibes were strange since the crowd felt very corporate and the decor was leaning towards upscale, so the music selection felt really off. Service was pretty good throughout the meal - they refilled our water often and our food came out quickly. We started with the rice balls - you get 4 to an order; great flavor, small size. For our entrees, I got the pappardelle bolognese, and my friend tried the bucatini with pesto sauce (special sauce for the night). Our pastas were enjoyable and a decent portion. We had to ask if they offered complimentary bread since we wanted some to dip in the sauce. If we hadn't asked, I guess they would have never brought any. I also tried the Sicilian autumn spritz cocktail - tasty drink but $24 is steep. I wasn't a fan of their bathroom setup either. It was a multi-stall all gender-restroom which I didn't realize until I went in.

Management was very accommodating on various levels - no need to describe the details as it's not relevant for an average review. know before you go - you literally have no other cheese but to have cheese in your pasta. Note that this is not a place for lactose intolerant kinds. I thought the concept was fresh pasta (which it is) but their ultimate menu items must include that cheese wheel. So fine. I figured they can at least give a non-cheese dish but rules are the rules. The place was packed on a weekend early evening. Lines were not forming (like it showed in the viral videos) but they were cooking up quite a bit at the front, because of carry out orders. Either way, on all angles - literally pretty much everything is ALL good and very positive. However, the one thing that needs to be addressed is that wheel made of cheese. Whoever created that chunk of a wheel, kudos to them/company. By golly - that gargantuan of a wheel was so filled with calories - I kid you not, it almost converted me to being lactose intolerant! So if you're about to have triple bypass the next day, I do not recommend this joint until you're fully healed. Yes, the flavors were good, but the cheesey elements were just too too rich. You also cannot tell them to lessen it, it's just set the way they cook the pasta within that barrel. Otherwise, the decor/ambience was nice, and tidy aspects really show through. Customer service was wonderful. Support your local businesses!

Was also thoughtful in handing us our orders correctly which was nice. For the food itself I heard good things and was hoping to love it more-- but I think I was slightly disappointed. The flavors aren't so bad overall and if you have a pasta itch it'll scratch. But I've tried other places better at a similar or even cheaper price point with protein added in. I got the "some like it hot" while my friend got "midnight desire" with burrata added in. I paid about 22 for each dish. Now for my thoughts - flavor for "some like it hot" was not bad, sauce was a slight bit watery for my liking. The spice was nice and I liked that part the most. Pasta was "OK". The ravioli was stuck together for some, filling was adequate but, I would've liked a little more. I don't want to sound harsh, but it was all around just an ok spot. Maybe it was just that day. Burrata added is nice, I took mine to go do sadly it was melted on top (recommend to pack the burrata separately for to go orders) - "midnight desire" is basically vodka and the flavor for this one was kind of odd for me. Not the normal vodka I am used to. I personally wouldn't really get it again. It wasn't a bad sauce, just not like vodka I know. Had a slight "bitter(?)" aftertaste from some seasoning I guess. I'm not a pasta connoisseur but I AM Italian and I've tasted a wide ranger of pastas lol-- I think yummy cheese pasta in Hell's Kitchen offers a similar concept, portion but is more filling, diverse options for adding and overall, slightly cheaper.
