This review is of a delivery order through GrubHub. While staying in Atlanta I decided to give this place a try. I ordered some hot chicken wings and a calzone. Delivery did not take that long and the driver was pretty friendly. I didn't have to sign anything since I paid online. To my surprise the chicken wings were very very small. They were cooked fine and tasted fine but there was just not enough meat for my liking. The calzone was fantastic. I chose three kinds of cheese, pepperoni, and chicken. It was quite large and tasted great. If you want something to fill you up this is it. Only bad thing was that no plastic ware was included. A Brooklynite I am not. I did not grow up with pizzerias that are national treasures. In Mobile, AL, we had Papa John's, Pizza Hut & Domino's. Clearly the Yelp love is lacking for this place, but I figured it couldn't be much worse than the cardboard I grew up with. Most recently, I tried their baked lemon pepper wings & the Terminus pizza (grilled chicken, garlic pesto, red peppers, spinach, goat cheese & artichokes). The baked wings, as I'm sure you can guess, weren't quite as tasty as the fried wings I should've had! They were missing that crispy factor for sure, but I didn't miss having the extra breading. And the pizza? What a pleasant surprise! I guess that's the good thing about low expectations - it's easier to delight. But as you know, I am by no means a pizza snob! Another disclosure: bread is oftentimes difficult for me to swallow, so I try to limit it. I should probably get food allergy testing one of these days! Until then, I enjoy bread, just in smaller quantities. So - I loved the super cracker thin crust on this pizza! And the toppings were fresh & flavorful. After a day of travel we wanted to relax and just get some food delivered. We ended up going with the local pizza place in Buckhead. We ordering online with the yelp app but we're not able to so we called in delivery. We ordered a large Buckhead Pizza and Mozzarella Sticks. When we gotta the pizza it looked good but that only lasted for so long. The pizza was average at best. The main problem was and this is strange coming from me, they just put too many topping on the pizza. The pizza could not support itself. This could have been from too many toppings or that the crust was just not crisp enough. Either way it became a pain to eat since you had to support each slice with 2 hands and it still continued to fall apart. The Mozzarella Sticks were better but not by much. The cheese just wasn't very melted and didn't have that cheesy pull you want with each bite. We will be trying something new next time we are in Buckhead. read more

The worse ever! Will never go back. ordered a pizza on line and walked over to get it 45 min later which is the time that the pizza was supposed to be ready. Got there 5 minutes early and the bartender asked me could she help me after I had been standing there for 10 minutes and she help a guy who had just walked in the door. No biggie. Didn't even trip. Gave her the name for the pizza. She comes back and says that she could not find it and had the manager to look. The manager walks over and asks how did we order. Explain through Uber eats pick up. Bartender then comes back and says the order had been cancelled. I expressed that we had a complete order status and that it hadn't been cancelled. The manager then says "I can show you were it's been cancelled " I said ok. We walked over to the machine and of course the order had not been cancelled, they neglected to fulfill the order. By this time it's almost a hour in and I am irritated. So I said I'll just cancel it because it's late and I have no time to wait. A solid mediocre pizza shop. Ordered personal pizza and chicken sandwich. Pizza was ok, personal size is plenty for one person. Chicken sandwich was a complete swing & a miss. It's more like a chicken grinder with precooked, precut cubes of chicken with some vegetables rolled up in cheese and then drenched with a mayo sauce. Frozen shoe string fries rounded out the marginal experience. The decor was ok. An oversized bar suggests this is local watering hole for the hundreds of hipsters that live in the new Buckhead condos. You know... I want so much to like this place, because it's the closest location for trivia and it has a good Blackened Salmon sandwich. However, after coming here about twice a month (or more) for a year, I have to give up. The service is terrible (consistently so), their beer selection is always lacking (they are always "out" of whatever we want... stop putting it on the menu if you never have it!) the food is mediocre, and to top it off, the prices have been increased recently so even that mediocre food is not worth it! In an effort to maintain a trivia team, I keep telling my friends, "It's not always like this"... but it is. And consistently poor service and rising prices simply does not merit my returning week after week. On my most recent visit, I arrived, only to be ignored by not one, but three of the host/servers as they walked by the podium, looked at me and kept walking... despite the mostly-empty restaurant. I finally had to flag one down and ASK to be seated. Then, once seated, the waiter asked what I wanted to drink. I replied "water"- twenty minutes later, I get water. Then, at the end, one check is set on a table of five people. And when we asked to split, it might as well have been the end of the world to him. Our request was met with a scoff and "Just give me your cards." And heaven forbid one of us asks for change so she can pay! We were nothing but sweet and patient all night, so I'll pass on the attitude, thanks. And there have been many disappointments foodwise, here. But finally, I had found two things that I liked and could settle on getting every time I visited. But the $8.99 Blackened Salmon Sandwich is now $13 and my preferred pizza (The "Highway 41") was completely taken off the menu. Gah! I visited Buckhead Pizza Co. for the first this past Wednesday - their trivia night with a small group of friends, and while the trivia experience was 5 stars (we won!!), "A OK" pretty much nails the restaurant experience overall. First off, the restaurant is located on the street level of Realm Condos - one of the fancy high rise condos on Peachtree St...thus parking was a little confusing 9thank you Chamberlain for showing me the ropes!) - parking for BPC is located in the parking deck to its right, on the third level, once you park you walk to a ticket kiosk (located seemingly in between the second and third tier), put in your parking space, return to your and place the ticket on your dash. They seem fairly strict, and will boot quickly, so do it. Parking is also validated for the first two hours. Now, on to the good stuff, the food - which I did enjoy: we started off with an app, the garlic rolls (served with marinara sauce), they were tasty but would have been that much better if they had actually come out warm versus lukewarm. For my entree, I had their "Basilico" flatbread pizza (topped with "thinly sliced tomatoes with fresh basil and mozzarella cheese") - which is sufficient for one person, but if you're ordering for two, go for their actual pizza selection - I also took the option to add balsamic vinegar (for an extra $1.95) - not worth it though as it was only the slightest hint of a drizzle. The tomatoes they used were delicious, sweet and perfectly ripe - but for an entree with basil in the title, there should've been more basil - the four-five bites I had where I could taste the basil were delicious, but made the rest taste bland. For dessert, I got to try their beignets - which again were quite tasty, especially with the drizzled chocolate - though if you're looking for beignet-beignets, these aren't it, as someone at the table pointed out, they're take is a bit reminiscent of funnel cake..but how can anyone hate funnel cake, so we happily inhaled 'em. Our server was sweet and fairly attentive - especially considering it seemed like she was pulling double duty manning the bar. All in all, I liked my experience at BPC, and would gladly return (especially for trivia night) - it's a simple, casual environment, with a slightly more upscale setting for pizza and beer. read more

Someone contacted me informing me the health inspector for this establishment corrected the score the next day after her visit. This someone clearly knows alot about the health inspection taken place in 2011. I am suspecting if this someone is the owner or a staff at this pizza joint. To this someone.. Look, don't try to imply I am not stating the truth in my review. I did not know the health inspector returned the following day or whichever day, clearly you did or claimed so. If this place did not make any improvement, I am sure the inspector (or her department) will take further action. What is your point when this establishment did get a 51 in the original inspection? So the truth is this pizza establishment did receive a stinky health score of 51. I may still have the inspection report around. And if you are the owner or staff, you know better not to review and award your establishment a 5 star ratings. That's called cheating!! read more

My husband and I were in the mood for chicken wings, so we looked up places nearby that were still open and available for pick-up using Uber Eats. We ordered 12 fried lemon pepper wings. I have to say that the wings were very good. They weren't the best I ever had, but let's just say they satisfied my craving. The reason for a two star review is the poor service! It's clear, as another reviewer stated, that they are short staffed. Normally, I would be very forgiving of this. But to NOT acknowledge almost 10 different customers that walked through your door at varying times, is absurd and unacceptable. Thankfully, everyone was extremely patient. Wow this place deserves no stars! Yesterday was just me going to sucky ass restaurants one after another. Money just wasted away. And my in laws wonder why I am so picky. #Highassstandards The wait staff and host staff do not have the proper shoes and attire for restaurants (aprons, slip resistant shoes with closed toes) which are considered unsanitary and unsafe. And man, our hostess was slooooow she seemed to be half asleep and took forever to grab a high chair considering there were only 2 other guests around. Im talking we were standing for some good long time and then we were sitting ordering drinks by time she came back with a coloring book but no high chair. She came back five minutes later with it. The food did not come back together, my hub's food came out 15 minutes later than everyone else's. He ordered a small pizza with ricotta on it (big hunks of ricotta apparently) and I ordered calamari. Everyone else had shared a pizza. Now, I understand making the most of your ingredient costs...but those squid rings were so thin that they were tough and either dried out because there was no breading or just completely bread and no squid. We were looking for a new pizza place to try in Buckhead, and found a listing for Buckhead Pizza Company online. I had never heard of this place, but they also have locations in Buford and Cumming. Their new Buckhead location is part of the Realm building on Peachtree, next to the Hyatt and the Charles Schwab office building. I called them and they said they just opened a week ago. They said to park in the Realm garage (two free hours with validation). They also offer free valet parking. The location has a pretty modern interior, with dark woods and a few plasma TV's. We went on a Friday night around 7 pm and it wasn't very crowded. Either people don't know about this place yet, or perhaps it will be more of a lunch spot. We started with appetizers of garlic knots and Greek salad. The salad was very good with generous portions of feta cheese. The garlic knots were pretty bad though- they were quite hard and a pale imitation of the free garlic knots at Ippilito's. I'm not a big fan of pizza in Atlanta, but I have to admit I did like the pizza here. It had a thin crispy crust like I enjoy (but not cracker thin). You get your choice of white or wheat crust. They were also very generous with the toppings, and the list of toppings is very long as well. A 10" Build Your Own pizza that includes 5 toppings is $9.25. They also have their specialty pizzas with names like "The Midtown" and "The Perimeter". Apparently, people who live in the Perimeter like their pizza with sausage and ricotta cheese. Service was excellent, which you would expect for a newly opened restaurant. The manager also came by and was filling up drinks and answering any questions. This was such a LOVELY experience! I discovered this gem in my neighborhood and couldn't wait to try. Their pizza is amazing and freshly made. The crust and sauce are so so good! This time I took my sister whose in town and we had the Blackened Salmon sandwich with creamy spicy creole sauce, Pesto Shrimp with penne pasta and creamy pesto sauce along with the spicy chicken pizza. AMAZING! The best part? The owner! What a sweetheart. He showed great concern to a woman who seemed pretty sad at the bar and came over to talk with my sister and I. Shared his favorite food and was very personable made sure to wish us a great rest of the day and I couldn't help but shared how beautiful the experience was. I dined at Buckhead Pizza Co twice within a week and the restaurant exceeded my expectations I had based upon the Yelp reviews I read before coming here. The food here is good, the downfall at this restaurant is the staff that is working here. They were not very attentive at all neither of the times I dined here. They were slow on drink refills and we did not have any napkins at the table. Both times here we ordered the large "Buckhead Pizza" which is really good and for appetizers we ordered the fried calamari, garlic knots with cheese, and lemon pepper chicken wings. All the appetizers were good and the chicken wings were really good, I was quite impressed by them. I would come back to Buckhead Pizza Co, but certainly not without a coupon. LOL read more

Customer Service was First Class! My husband LOVES pizza so I decided to give him a pizza making class as one of his anniversary gifts. I spoke with Kevin (one of the managers) to set up everything as a surprise. When we arrived we were sat at a table near the oven because I told Kevin we would be going live on social media with the class (he actually recorded so we could both be in it). We were also given glasses of champagne which was very kind. Our server and instructor was Maxine. She is young, personable and played right into our shenanigans! She's actually named after Max from the TV series Living Single. LOL Maxine did a good job teaching us the "proper" way to make pizza from stretching the dough to adding sauce and toppings. I've been going to Buckhead Pizza for the past few months to participate in their Wednesday night trivia. After multiple visits, this place definitely gets three stars. The food is tasty for the price point it is in - I really enjoy their flatbreads. The crust is just crispy enough and the toppings are all very fresh. I've had their personal pizzas and the only downside is that often the crust will be too soft in the middle or not as hot as I'd like it to be. When you get a larger size pizza however, it's pretty on point. Fresh, hot, and they have tons of more upscale toppings to choose from (steak, prosciutto, and kalamata olives to name a few). Very shareable and delicious. Service there is just OK. Since it's team trivia night I don't mind it much since I know I'll be there until the game is over. But the servers either will take an elongated amount of time to bring your checks and cash you out (I'm sure they want you to order another pitcher while you wait) or they are moving so fast that when you need a refill or want to order something additional it can be hard to catch them before they run off again. The atmosphere is very casual and it's a relaxing place to grab a bite. The food is good but not good enough to the point where I would come on a regular basis if my trivia team didn't post up there on Wednesdays. I visited Buckhead Pizza Co with a moderate (more than a dozen?) sized networking group. We had a great time! Ask for Scott. Service was very organized and fast. Scott organized and expediently took care of everything. I noted no billing errors though he was clearly juggling more than a dozen checks, even for folks who had to leave a little early. He was personable, and made good suggestions. The food itself was also delicious. I had a Terminus pie. A personal-sized pie is quite a bit of food, and the hors d' oeuvres /appetizers we had were also tasty. One might make a meal out of the hummus alone. Parking is paid, and these guys might comp you for an hour of parking-time. (I say "might" because I don't know if that was specially for our little group or not.)
